Our child has always been very well looked after in the 'Snowdrops' and loves to attend nursery three days a week. The staff are extremely friendly and usually resolve issues very promptly in an orderly fashion.

My son started this nursery in November 2019 and absolutely loves it. He attends three times a week with his twin sister. My son is very attached to all staff in the pre-school room and even talks about them at home. They all work really hard. Care, learning and safeguarding are of a very high standard.
Food is varied and dietary a very high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cherubs Mapperley.

The nursery staff are fabulous and approachable. Any questions are always answered fully and efficiently. All the staff know the children and have a positive relationship with them.
The setting is beautifully bright and engaging, enabling the children to use all the space freely.
Our child is happy
and has developed so much. She smiles each morning she goes in and has lots to tell us when she comes out at the end of the day.

My child has been using this nursery since they were 11-months-old. The staff have always gone above and beyond making my child feel welcome, safe and helping with their development. I was anxious about putting my child into nursery but the staff soon put my mind at ease. They offered more than the
normal settling days. Throughout my child's time at the nursery, she has made friends and has built great learning experiences. I can't recommend this nursery enough!

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.223)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.223) out of 10 for Cherubs Mapperley is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.907 for Cherubs Mapperley is calculated as follows: ( (98 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.907
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.316 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Mapperley is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 73 number of registered child places is 14.6. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.6 = 0.616
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

"Hello, I'm Kayley - Area Manager for Cherubs Mapperley. A career in childcare is something I have always wanted to pursue. In 2014, I took the plunge and started my journey with Cherubs Nurseries - I’ve never looked back! I started as a student and worked my way up to Assistant Manager at Cherubs Executive House before being promoted to Nursery Manager at Cherubs Ruddington in 2021. I have had the pleasure of both supporting and being based at other nurseries within Cherubs Nurseries, which has given me invaluable experience. I also support our Apprentices through their Training Academy journey, which gives me great pride in seeing them succeed and flourish into wonderful, knowledgeable Early Years Educators.

I currently hold a Level 3 in Childcare, Level 2 in Mental Health and Well-being, as well as various other qualifications, including SEND, Language Lead, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Moving and Handling Special Needs, and I have been trained in Buccolam and Oxygen Administration. Within the setting, I am passionate about creating a home-from-home experience for the children that we care for by creating a fun, engaging and welcoming atmosphere - encouraging the children to develop to their full potential."
