We couldn't be happier with this nursery. Our two-year-old daughter loves going, which says everything about the warm and caring environment the staff have created. She is always excited to go in and always comes home happy and clearly well cared for.
The team are kind, patient, and attentive, and
it's obvious they genuinely care about the children. They take the time to understand each child's personality and interests, which has really helped our daughter grow in confidence and independence. We especially appreciate the regular updates and photos that let us see what she's been learning and enjoying throughout the day.
The activities are creative and engaging, and it's lovely to see how much she's developing socially and academically while still having plenty of fun. The nursery always feels clean, safe, and welcoming.
I always recommend Cherubs Mapperley to any other parents who asks. And always praise the nursery when asked what I think of it.
10/10 to Cherubs Mapperley

We have had a lovely time taking our daughter to Cherubs. She loves her time there, her transittons between age groups have been managed really well and she always comes home with a funny little story about her day. The activities are really good for her and she has been able to explore her enjoyment
of arts and craft, cooking and outdoor play with the other children. Loves the food as well and seems to eat a much broader range of meals when at Nursery as compaed to at home. (a bit annoying). No complaints at all. Keep it up!

We couldn't be happier with Cherubs, Mapperley. Our son absolutely loves going and has come on so much since starting, especially with his speech and confidence. He loves reading books, playing with cars, painting and spending time outside, and it's lovely to see how his interests are encouraged.
The
staff are always friendly and chatty, speak so positively about him, and are genuinely interested in what we've been up to at home and how they can help support him. We're always kept well informed about what's happening.
Most importantly, he's completely settled and genuinely happy there. We're so grateful for the care and encouragement the team give him every day.

Staff have been super supportive since my daughter started over 2 years ago and now are brilliant with my son who started in January.
They have supported with nap transitions, nursery settling in, getting rid of a dummy, potty training.
The staff know the kids really well which is exactly what you
want when leaving your children somewhere for the day!
My daughter particularly loved snowdrops, she was so sad to be leaving the girls to move to preschool, particularly Lily and Lataya were brilliant!

We have been really happy with the care given to our daughter at Cherubs. One of cherubs greatest assets is the staff, they are friendly, passionate and build amazing bonds with the children. Communication both during the day and at pick up is always good and the app is a huge benefit updating throughout
the day including pictures of what our daughters been up to. The rooms and outside space are good and we feel the nursery are always offering a good variety of activities.

Our son joined the nursery at almost 2 years old. He currently goes 2 days a week. The team spent time helping him settle into a new routine and helping him feel comfortable.

The nursery value different types of play, inside and outside. They spend time talking and encouraging to learn and thrive,

whilst he has have fun. They take time to update parents. The food is healthy and changes to encourage new food.

As a very anxious mum I was nervous for my son to start nursery but Cherubs eased that and have been fantastic!!! our son is absolutely blossoming. The staff are lovely and always say hello, ask how you've been as well as your child, gives updates about days, etc. the communication is fantastic I couldn't
ask for more. Meal times / menus are varied and brilliant. The staff have lovely professional uniforms, the building and rooms are clean and tidy for a nursery. Overall I genuinely wouldn't have my child anywhere else, super happy !!!!!

A truly wonderful nursery. My son loves his days at Cherubs and all the staff genuinely care about the children. There are loads of activities and outside space for the children to explore and play, and opportunities for parents to get involved. The nursery itself is modern and tidy. I'd throughly recommend
it!

Cherubs nursery is absolutely exceptional. I am so grateful for how well they take care of our daughter, she is besotted with her key workers and on days when she isn't in nursery, talks about them constantly. I receive regular updates throughout the day and I never go a day without photos of my daughter
which is the highlight of my day when at work. Every day they set up special, themed interactive areas or activities. They are incredibly thoughful and take time to give an overview of my daughter's day every evening on pick up. It feels like they really care and it is a close knut group of people who are all really positive, sweet and kind. I sent our son to a different nursery nearby and was so pleased I changed to cherubs as the difference is huge. Cherubs feels very personal and like a big family, you don't feel like a number. My daughter also suffers from a dairy allergy and they managed this really well, offering excellent alternatives every day.

My child has attended Cherubs for around 2-3 years now. We have been really happy with the care she has received, particularly in the baby room and in Snowdrops.
The nursery is well run, safe and has good options in terms of nutrition.
Special mentions to two members of staff in particular for their
help in the early years of my child being at nursery. They made us feel like we were leaving our child in a safe and caring place.
Also to the manager, whose management of the nursery has displayed some great improvements and changes. She has always been very responsive and flexible. She is a great leader and it was noticeable how she has impacted the nursery.
Lastly, to another member of staff in particular, we have seen some amazing changes in our child's confidence since her input. We can't speak highly enough of her.
We will be forever grateful to Cherubs for their help and support over the years.

Very happy with Cherubs Mapperley - very friendly, understanding and informative management. The staff that look after our child are always friendly, polite and informative of how she has been during the day. We feel like they care and love our child and always update us. The food served is great and
our child always eats it all. The app is great for being updated and seeing photos. My child speaks about her key workers and feels happy with them. Any requests and questions we've had have always been answered and have been very helpful. The staff are always warm and friendly and we are so happy to have chosen Cherubs through a recommendation.

My daughter has been at the Cherubs Nursery since February 2023.
The staff were amazing in helping settling my daughter in to the nursery and reassuring me by letting me stay with her and work upstairs in the parent room in the initial stages.
My daughter has made great connections with the nursery
team and made lots of friends.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.894)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.894) out of 10 for Cherubs Mapperley is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.894 for Cherubs Mapperley is calculated as follows: ( (236 Excellents x 5) + (28 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 264 Ratings = 4.894
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Mapperley is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 73 number of registered child places is 14.6, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
