I have nothing but positive things to say about Cherubs Mapperley. My little boy has attended since he was 11months, and he's now 2.5 years. The staff are very friendly and approachable, even staff members not in his room make the effort.

The staff at Cherubs Mapperley are all really lovely and really care about the kids! Since joining Cherubs from 11 months old right up until pre school, my son has learned so much and flourished there. My little girl has recently started and the staff in the daisies room are making sure she feels safe
and comfortable, whilst updating me with her progress.

Cherubs nursery is absolutely exceptional. I am so grateful for how well they take care of our daughter, she is besotted with her key workers and on days when she isn't in nursery, talks about them constantly. I receive regular updates throughout the day and I never go a day without photos of my daughter
which is the highlight of my day when at work. Every day they set up special, themed interactive areas or activities. They are incredibly thoughful and take time to give an overview of my daughter's day every evening on pick up. It feels like they really care and it is a close knut group of people who are all really positive, sweet and kind. I sent our son to a different nursery nearby and was so pleased I changed to cherubs as the difference is huge. Cherubs feels very personal and like a big family, you don't feel like a number. My daughter also suffers from a dairy allergy and they managed this really well, offering excellent alternatives every day.

My child has attended Cherubs for around 2-3 years now. We have been really happy with the care she has received, particularly in the baby room and in Snowdrops.
The nursery is well run, safe and has good options in terms of nutrition.
Special mentions to two members of staff in particular for their
help in the early years of my child being at nursery. They made us feel like we were leaving our child in a safe and caring place.
Also to the manager, whose management of the nursery has displayed some great improvements and changes. She has always been very responsive and flexible. She is a great leader and it was noticeable how she has impacted the nursery.
Lastly, to another member of staff in particular, we have seen some amazing changes in our child's confidence since her input. We can't speak highly enough of her.
We will be forever grateful to Cherubs for their help and support over the years.

Very happy with Cherubs Mapperley - very friendly, understanding and informative management. The staff that look after our child are always friendly, polite and informative of how she has been during the day. We feel like they care and love our child and always update us. The food served is great and
our child always eats it all. The app is great for being updated and seeing photos. My child speaks about her key workers and feels happy with them. Any requests and questions we've had have always been answered and have been very helpful. The staff are always warm and friendly and we are so happy to have chosen Cherubs through a recommendation.
Thank you and I would recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been at the Cherubs Nursery since February 2023.
The staff were amazing in helping settling my daughter in to the nursery and reassuring me by letting me stay with her and work upstairs in the parent room in the initial stages.
My daughter has made great connections with the nursery
team and made lots of friends.
I would highly recommend the nursery.

My child is very happy at this nursery and couldn’t recommend it more. A few of our friends have recently joined and are also happy with the care that is being provided here. The staff are lovely and my child speaks about them at home. No request we have made is too much trouble for the management and
we really appreciate it all.

My son has been coming since January 2021, with little speech and seeing a therapist; he’s now a little chatterbox, and it’s all down to Cherubs. I can not thank them enough for everything they have done for him and for me! We will miss coming when my little one goes to school, and so sad to say goodbye
to the staff who have been fantastic, especially two particular members of staff! Thank you again.

We are so pleased we chose this Nursery, our son has blossomed so much over the years and has developed many positive relationships with children and the wonderful staff. The staff are all so smiley, welcoming and caring whenever you go in. They give good feedback and reassurance about your child's
day. They really do know each individual well! We love how the Nursery offers so many open days and events, making you welcome each time. The use of the blossom app is great, to help keep up to date with things and see what amazing things the children get up to. They sure do celebrate differences and are very creative in what activities they provide, always stretching each individual to be the very best! Thanks to all for your outstanding work and nurturing ways to help our son grow in each and every way.

Since my child has been attending the Cherubs Mapperley Day Nursery she has truly blossomed. Her social skills and vocabulary have come on faster than I ever imagined. The staff are very welcoming to parents and children and it's easy to address any queries or questions about my daughter's day-to-day
learning. We receive daily updates regarding the nursery and the activities that have taken place, the food always sounds amazing and, most importantly, my daughter seems very happy here!

We are very happy with Cherubs Mapperley. Our son is attached to the staff and feels safe and comfortable with everyone - it's clearly a very nurturing environment. This is reflected in his social skills at home and with his friends.
We are always informed of activities and milestones and there is
great communication from the nursery. The use of the app is very helpful.
We appreciate that our son is taken out to undertake activities in the local area/community.
Our son started nursery at 6 months only, when he couldn't even sit. Only a few months later, he has grown into an independent and adventurous boy. We are sure that the environment, activities and stimulation provided at Cherubs have played an important role in this.
In terms of the building, decor, equipment and toys available, Cherubs has been excellent so far. Whenever we come into the Daisies room, our son is playing with or exploring something new.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.223)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.223) out of 10 for Cherubs Mapperley is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.907 for Cherubs Mapperley is calculated as follows: ( (98 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.907
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.316 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cherubs Mapperley is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 73 number of registered child places is 14.6. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.6 = 0.616
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
