Centre Place Nursery in Southend-on-Sea offers flexible, affordable childcare for children aged between 0-5 years.

The friendly, dedicated and highly qualified team organises the day to enable children to participate in a variety of child-initiated and adult supported activities.

The nursery caters for each individual child's needs and they have the freedom to choose from a range of exciting play and learning activities, including group activities.

Funding & Fees

0-2 Room - we do accept 15 hours and 30 hour funding - this is stretched across whole year and no term time contracts. A minimum of 3 days a week booking. Each session £74 for full day 0800 - 1700. No half days available.


2-5 Room - 30 hour funded Sessions are stretched all year round. Sessions are either 0800 - 1230 or 1230 - 1700 or full days 0800 - 1700 . A minimum of 2.5 days each week.
2-5 Room - 15 hours universal funding - we accept universal funding also limited spaces.

PM session 1230 - 1700 - £37.

We do have some spaces for next term. Please check your eligibility for funding on the gov.uk website.

Both of my children currently attend this nursery and have since they were both under 1 year old. The staff are absolutely incredible and my children love coming here. The communication between staff and parents is fantastic, be it via phone, face to face or on the app. There is such a family feel and
they treat each and every child as if they were their own. The facilities in the nursery are amazing. The garden is huge and has lots of equipment and activities set up for them to play with and inside there are reading nooks, sensory areas and lots of imaginative play. I honestly cannot fault this nursery and would recommend it to anyone who wants their children to go somewhere safe, fun and inclusive.

Great employees, very loving, good organizer. I 100% recommend the Centre Place Nursery to any mother who is unsure about their choice of nursery. My son loved visiting the nursery every day. Center Place also has its own app, in which you are always up to date.

My daughter loves her nursery and teachers. She is singing songs, counting and knows the letters. She always comes back happy from nursery and always goes to nursery with pleasure and a big smile. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always trying to find a solution if you are in trouble with money
or any other life problems. We will miss our nursery when she goes to school.

My child has had a wonderful time at this nursery if only for a short time, I have had no issues at all, all of the staff are great, easy to talk to and have always kept me up to date with progress, my child has learnt alot since going here, it's a shame she has to go to school. The nursery itself is
great, a nice place to be. My child settled in straight away, it's a great nursery for all children who attend.

I have used this nursery for two of my children now and I cannot fault the staff one bit, we are always kept up to date with what they are doing and how our child is getting on. The new app is brilliant for two-way communications, especially during the recent Covid times. I highly recommended this nursery

My two children couldn't wait to get back to nursery after the holidays. They have both formed good relationships with staff members and always come home and talk to me all about their day. I have been very happy with the way the nursery dealt with Covid-19 and helping to ensure my children are safe.
Would definitely recommend. I feel comfortable leaving my children knowing they are happy and are going to have a lot of fun!
