Since my children started at this nursery beginning of the year 2025 they have seemed to appear very happy and relaxed within themselves. They would happily run to the nursery and the staff always greeted my children with such passion. It's such a lovely happy environment. My children has started learning
so much. They deliver a great service and always update me how my kid's day went. As a parent I'm very happy with this nursery and I would recommend this to many out there.

My daughter who's almost 2 in August, has been going here since last year and she absolutely loves it. I love seeing the updates and photos sent through the app during the day. Staff are friendly and seem to be caring. Sometimes they run extra activities which parents can attend, free of charge. Highly
recommend this nursery and we glad we chose it for our daughter.

I was very apprehensive of sending my daughter to a nursery as I was getting back to work after my maternity break. She started as a 1 year old learning to walk, communicate, eat, etc. Staff of YMCA, Pelsall really supported and comforted her so well that she loves going to nursery. It's like her second
home :) special mention about the manager and 5 other members of staff in particular. Great place for children. :)

This nursery is so convenient for me and my child as I also work close by at PVC.
I was a bit reluctant to send my daughter to nursery at the beginning as she was comfortable with family members looking after her. Although I felt she was ready to mix with other children of similar ages.
Initially
when she first started I found it difficult to drop her off as I wasn't sure what was best for her at the time. Now she looks forward to attending, she has a good rapport with all the staff and even comes home signing songs that she has sung during the day. Morning's are now easier as there are no more tears or awkward goodbyes, with after school pick up's being the best- just seeing that big smile on her face saying bye to the staff with the comment 'had a good day, mum'. My daughter is a fussy eater as well as being vegetarian, but the nursery has really accommodated for this. My daughter is even trying foods she would not attempt to touch at home. Great nursery, recommend 100%

My little boy has been going to this nursery for over a year, his confidence has grown so much, he's comfortable with all the staff and I've have not ever had a doubts about his care. The team are wonderful and always take the time and make the effort to talk to me and my boy on drop off and pick up.
He will happily go to any of the team which makes drop offs easier. The team always go above and beyond. I know its a while off but I know my lad will miss the team so much when he has to move on to big school. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Fantastic nursery, the team are so supporting in all areas. My daughter has been going here for nearly 2 years and she loves going knowing shes going to have full day of fun and love.
The bond the staff have with the kids is incredible and they invest so much time and effort to getting to know your
child.
It fulfills my confidence to know my precious little one is in safe hands.

My daughter started this nursery 12 weeks ago, she absolutely loves it. The staff are incredible they have been understanding and helpful in certain situations that have happened in the short time she’s been there. She always comes out with the biggest smile and tells me she’s had the best day. She
also loves the commitment that the nursery has shown to her development by teaching her new things all the time. My daughter loves how she’s allowed to access all parts of play without restrictions. I wouldn’t have chosen another nursery for my little girls it’s absolutely amazing

Our foster child has come on in leaps and bounds since attending nursery. She was very clingy at first but it has helped her to enjoy other company and she really enjoys her mornings and is always happy and chatting about her time when collected. Thank you.

My daughter has been attending YMCA nursery since she was 7 months old and has recently been transferred to Pelsall (we attended the Walsall nursery previously) the staff are so lovely and welcoming and make you feel at ease, as it not easy sending your child to any nursery. My little one always comes
out full of smiles and loves to tell Mummy about her day and the new friends she has made. Keep up the good work.

My son has been attending this Nursery since January 2021. I was worried about how he might settle after spending the last year with just me and his father due to the pandemic, but he has settled in really well. He’s well cared for, enjoys the activities and playing outside with the other children.
We are amazed with the things he learns from being there and his speech is getting better and better every day. The staff are lovely at drop-offs and pick-ups and my son adores the staff there too. Very happy with his progress and we definitely recommend this nursery.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.770)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.770) out of 10 for YMCA @ Pelsall Village Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.870 for YMCA @ Pelsall Village Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (97 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.87
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for YMCA @ Pelsall Village Day Nursery is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 number of registered child places is 6.4, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
