Sunshine Community Nursery is an award-winning and renowned nursery, rated OUTSTANDING in every area by Ofsted (August 2021). Sunshine provides the highest quality childcare for funded and private children aged 3 months - 5 years old as well as a Holiday club for children up to 11 years old.

Children at Sunshine are cared for in a happy, stimulating and safe environment. Each room and outdoor play area is carefully designed for each child's age and stage of development, providing age-appropriate rooms for babies, toddlers and preschool children. Each room has an extensive amount of space and access to its own outdoor play area.

The children and families at Sunshine are at the heart of everything that they do. Sunshine employ highly qualified and experienced staff who provide a professional, safe and stimulating environment that responds to each child’s individual needs, nurtures their strengths and develops their unique characters whilst following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

I love this nursery because it does not feel commercialised, which was really important to me when choosing a nursery. It is a small nursery which is friendly and very tactile. Every time I have visited, I have never seen children crying alone, and often I have witnessed nursery workers sitting on the
floor with children cuddling and attending to their needs, which gives me comfort and reassurance knowing my son's needs will be met. All staff have always been friendly and welcoming, and they are all very understanding of changes and life situations.

My son attends this nursery, and he absolutely loves it! Always comes out smiling and talking about his day. The girls are absolutely lovely who look after him, and are slowly transforming my shy little baby into a confident boy. The whole nursery is lovely, and there are plenty of toys and activities
which they do. Could not recommend enough!

Excellent staff. Lovely school. My son loves going to this school, he will be sad when he leaves in September, but he has come on loads since being at school. He is always happy to go to school and is always excited when we walk past. Overall an amazing school

Best nursery my child attended to. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and always keeping me up to date with my child's progress. My son really enjoys attending the nursery. I definitely recommend Sunshine Community Nursery.

Since my daughter started at Sunshine Community Nursery, she's come out of her shell and is much more confident; her speech and learning are soo much better too! She was a timid, shy girl when she started, but now she just runs in and waves me goodbye! Definitely would recommend this nursery!

One of the best nurseries my children are attending. The staff are very friendly and always keep me up to date with what my children are doing; what they have had for breakfast and lunch. As a parent, we have access to a portal that is constantly updated with pictures and even announcements regarding
holidays, etc. Cannot recommend enough.

Lovely staff and they are very patient with my child as my child does not like to go to nursery. In this place, he is better every day, and with the app, I can see what is he doing. I am grateful for this because my child can learn to play and have activities with other kids.

Sunshine’s is an amazing place to start your child off. My son has been a lockdown baby and hadn’t socialised much, but absolutely loves being here. The nursery and its staff are absolutely brilliant. Activities and menus are so great for the children.

It's my pleasure to recommend Sunshine Community Nursery to anyone who is interested in enrolling their children in the school. Although it has been a short time my son was enrolled into the school, but I must say, I'm very pleased with the education he is receiving from the school.
My son's progress
is amazing and really enjoys coming to school. The teaching staffs are very good and nurturing and developing the children's academic skills as well as social interaction.
I recommend Sunshine Community Nursery to everyone because the school is very welcoming and has a very safe environment.

All the staff at the nursery are friendly and welcoming. My child has attended since he was a few months old and he is now four. Never had an issues with child development or health and safety. Very good at open and honest communication with parents and a great setting for your little ones development
and social goals to be met. Highly recommend this nursery for its devotion to teaching and guiding your little ones through some important years.

My daughter loves this nursery. She has learnt so much from staff here. All staff are very welcoming and kind. They’re able to cater to my child’s needs in regards to her allergies, which is good for me and gives me peace of mind that she is in safe hands! You’re able to keep track of your child’s day

Having recently moved to Leeds, it was a fresh start for my daughter and I. I tried four different nurseries and came across Sunshine Community Nursery on my way to top up the electric. Upon entering for an enquiry, we got assisted straight away. The manager gave us more information during our pop up
visit and I was very impressed. She made me feel very comfortable and my daughter who had struggled with attachments seemed to warm up to her. During her one hour visit she settled better than I expected and I just want to appreciate the ladies that did make sure she was okay. They have an app which is very handy for first time parents and it keeps you up to date with your little one during the day. This helped me as I had a lot of anxiety upon leaving her in a new setting. We receive up to date information and even during Covid-19, their health and safety measures have been brilliant! The teachers are very sweet, cuddly and informative too. We appreciate you! Keep up the good work in raising tomorrow’s champions.

This is the second nursery my son has attended. Since attending he has come such a long way with his confidence and skills. All the staff are welcoming and friendly and my son looks forward to his time at nursery. I would one hundred percent recommend this nursery.

Sunshine Community Nursery is a nursery I would readily recommend to any parent. Once a first time mom, I had at a time had to put my little girl of few months in nursery. Obviously this came with great concern. They took magnificent care of my child. She felt totally and comfortably settled-in that
I knew right away from then, that she couldn’t be any safer and well taken care of than she was. This quality of care and attention hasn’t warranted one bit, three years now and counting!

My son has attended Sunshine Community Nursery since he was eight months old, he’s now four years old and the staff have been great from day one. My son absolutely loves going to nursery and the care and effort they put in to teaching and helping him learn and grow really shows. He has attended full
time from quite a young age and it’s not the easiest thing leaving your child for such a long time each week. However, I know that he’s well looked after and the staff absolutely adore him. The staff are always polite, helpful and always understanding. Thank you so much for all you do for us!

My name is Ayesha, I am the nursery manager at Sunshine. I have a degree in Early years, providing all children with the best nursery experience and start in life is my aim and passion. I have worked at Sunshine Community Nursery since the nursery opened in 2018.
