Belton House Nursery is a fantastic nursery run by nurturing, highly qualified and caring staff who go that extra mile to make sure your child is receiving the input that they need, whether it’s on the settling or confidence side of things or extending their interest in their learning, it’s all geared
to go at your child’s pace and interests which we feel is so important. The outside space and outdoor learning opportunities are wonderful and are incorporated daily into their routine and the fact that they have specialist teachers from the main school for music, French and P.E is incredible. The food is nutritious and delicious too, very important for keeping my son happy and healthy! It has been so rewarding to watch his personality and learning blossom since being at Belton House Nursery and the excitement on nursery days is through the roof!

My daughter moved to Belton House Nursery last year from another nursery. It has been amazing fun filled experience for her. She was very clingy in previous nursery, however it has been a great change for her in this nursery. Belton House Nursery is early education focused unlike other nurseries which
makes it unique. My daughter attends nursery all week which means she takes benefit of all the lessons provided by the school teachers, such as music, French and P.E at this early age. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent nursery. My son has come on leaps and bounds since attending. I can't believe how well his written skills and number skills have developed. They settled him well, after some nerves and he has been going happy ever since. They have dealt with Covid-19 well and I have been impressed that they
only shut for a period in the first lockdown. This showed great dedication and effort to keep open and safe when others facilities were shut. I really like the teachers and the range of teaching they get is superb. Such as French, phonics, P.E and cooking. I would definitely recommend and have signed my second son up already.

Belton House Nursery is a wonderful setting! We loved that the class size was small and so the children received very attentive care, which became noticeable with how our daughter progressed in terms of reading and numbers. She really enjoyed the weekly baking class and getting to know new friends,
who she continues to see now in reception. The staff were approachable and our daughter formed a strong bond with them. We feel that Belton House Nursery has the perfect mix of interactive fun, alongside structured rules and learning to prepare them for starting school. Whilst the nursery is part of a school, we liked that the nursery was in its own building with a separate entrance to classrooms and outdoor facilities, whilst also making our daughter familiar with the big school. It has made the transition from nursery to reception seamless. We will definitely be sending our second child there!

Our daughter started at Belton House in January 2021 and absolutely loves it. She quite often bounces up and down with excitement when at the entrance door and is often disappointed on days she doesn't go in. The manager and the team made sure the transition from a previous nursery was extremely smooth
and that our child settled very quickly.
Each day is filled with varied activities and our daughter especially enjoys the extensive outdoor play area. She never has any trouble going to sleep at night after she attends! Educationally we can see that number skills have improved since joining and there has already also been an expansion in reviewing books both with adults and on her own.
With specialist subjects such as Music, French and PE being offered and taught to pupils by the Micklefield school teachers we believe that Belton House is providing excellent all-round early years educational experience for our daughter that she thoroughly enjoys.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.810)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.810) out of 10 for Micklefield Belton House Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Micklefield Belton House Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (48 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.81 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Micklefield Belton House Nursery is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 number of registered child places is 9.2. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.2 = 0.435
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
