Kids Planet Shrewsbury, is located in the former Chiquito restaurant on Battlefield Road. The building had a complete fit out, which includes a sensory room and large outdoor areas. The 120 place nursery provides the highest standard of childcare for babies through to preschool. Just like other Kids Planet nurseries, the children's interests will be at the heart of everything that they do. The enabling environment will provide ample opportunity for each child to learn, play and grow at their own pace and pursue their interests.

My son has been in this nursery now since June and he's so happy there. The staff are lovely and constant communication throughout the day.
He's so cheeky and loves all the practitioners.
Great fresh meals too! Always being told he's having second helpings when wanted which is nice for growing babies.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since March 2022 and already I’ve noticed her speech has come on massively. She’s far more sociable and loves interacting with people and other children. She settled in straight away and loves all the staff. Her key worker is amazing and my daughter absolutely
adores her. If she ever has a bump or little accident they let me know straight away and fill out an accident form. They update the app throughout the day so I know exactly what she’s eaten and how much, how long she’s slept and show photos of what she’s been getting up to. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough. All the staff are amazing and so so lovely.

Our daughter really enjoys her time at Kids Planet. Her personal and social development has come on leaps and bounds since joining. She is well cared for and feels safe and happy. The variety of learning activities is excellent. The nursery is really well maintained and all the staff are friendly, professional
and approachable.

I cannot praise Kids Planet and the team highly enough. The care shown for the children's well being is exceptional. The facilities available, particularly the sensory room and outdoor area are fabulous and always immaculate.
Our little one's key worker is dedicated to the children in her care as
are every one of the team I have met in the tot's room. They show kindness and understanding to all the little ones and the app updates parents hour by hour of the children's progress every day from meals to play and sleep. Exceptional.

I cannot fault anything or anyone at Shrewsbury Kids Planet. Every single member of staff always has a smile on their face, always willing to listen to you about your child and what they need etc. My daughter runs into nursery every session that she has .

My 2-year-old boy was a lockdown baby and is always with me his mum. When he first started at the nursery he was upset and unsure due to this being new for him. I myself also found it hard to leave him, the staff were, and still are, so supportive and did not make me feel silly for all the calls to
check on him. The staff always have a smile and the atmosphere you feel when you are in the nursery is lovely. All staff are helpful and the care they have is seen, they are patient and that's so important. I love the activities my son gets involved in and since he has been going he has become confident and has come out of his shell and his personality is shining through.

My daughter has been attending Kids Planet for almost a year and she is so happy, it feels like a second home to her.
All of the staff are so nurturing and supportive, they provide her with so much care, attention and positivity. I have also found the staff to be very communicative and the management
team are so efficient.
I would highly recommend Kids Planet to anyone looking for a nursery and I feel extremely lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my daughter.

Michelle Edmonds

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024

I am the nursery manager of Kids Planet Shrewsbury. I have previously been the nursery manager at Kids Planet Mablins Lane (Crewe) and prior to that a room leader in the out of school club at Kids Planet Haslington. I hold a BA(Hons) Primary Education without QTS along with Paediatric first aid, food hygiene, Level 3 Safeguarding and Designated Safeguarding Lead training and a Level 3 ILM.
I have worked with children professionally since 2012 working in the Nursery and Out of School Clubs. I really enjoy the variety my job brings on a daily basis and how I have watched the children transform through their childhood.
In my spare time I am an active member of Girlguiding UK being a unit leader of a Guide and Ranger unit. This includes planning and running various activities, trips, camps and holidays as well as fundraising and taking part in community work. I also enjoy going to the theatre, visiting National Trust properties and I have a keen interest in anything Harry Potter!
