Kids Planet Shrewsbury, is located in the former Chiquito restaurant on Battlefield Road. The building had a complete fit out, which includes a sensory room and large outdoor areas. The 120 place nursery provides the highest standard of childcare for babies through to preschool. Just like other Kids Planet nurseries, the children's interests will be at the heart of everything that they do. The enabling environment will provide ample opportunity for each child to learn, play and grow at their own pace and pursue their interests.

Overall, I'm happy. I don't like it when they use spare clothes, and she still has her own clean clothes in the bag. Especially when someone else's underwear is put on, sometimes accidents happen, but that's normal when there are a lot of children around. They constantly change the hangers, and sometimes
we are with another child on the same one. It's nice for each child to have their own space for their bags. My child is still small and can't tell me everything, but for now, she seems happy there, which is the most important thing. It will be good to return the cameras because that was the main reason I chose you.

My son started at 11 months old and is now 4 years old. He enjoys his time at Kids Planet and they have helped him develop and grow. The staff are always helpful and approachable and will go above and beyond. The nursery is always clean and safe for everybody. I would highly recommend Kids Planet Shrewbury.

My son started in baby room and is now in toddler room and will soon to be moving to pre school room. I have never had any issues at drop off and more often than not at pick ip he'd happily continue to stay even after a full day. He likes all staff and I have had a great experience with them too. I

Very good nersery, my son absolutely loves going. The staff are always so helpful and lovely, nothing is ever an issue, the food is amazing and always a great choice daily. The manager is always there when needed. Always kept updated throughout the day, and even monthly with events. Would 100% recommend

Our son joined Kids Planet babies room in January 2025. The office team went through everything really thoroughly, we had a tour of the room and met all the lovely staff who would be caring for our son.
He has settled in really well, they always keep us updated and he gets to take part in lots of activities
as well as being able to mix with other toddlers his age.
We are looking forward to our son moving up through the rooms at Kids Planet and helping his development and preparing him for reception. Thank you.

My son has recently moved up a room and his development since then has been amazing. He is socialising with slightly older children and his speech is improving. He gets to do lots of amazing activities and they spend lots of time outdoors. The staff are really caring and he loves his time at nursery.

During half term I needed additional hours for my pre-schooler, Kids Planet Shrewsbury were more than accommodating with the short notice.
Due to unexpected work related matters staff made sure both my children were well looked after as always my children love all the staff & look forward to attending.
I can get on with work knowing my children are in safe hands.

My daughter has just started at Kids Planet. The reason why I brought her here? Because my two older children came here when it opened back in 2020 and they loved it! I was very sad when they left, but so glad my youngest daughter now gets to experience this amazing nursery! I remember crying when I
first went there. The rooms were beautifully presented and the staff were friendly and professional. They attend to children's needs on a one-to-one basis and provide the support that they need. My eldest son required extra help and he got it. They were very patient and caring as he struggled regularly. My youngest daughter who has just started is shy and she has been cared for and supported to make the transition smooth and as comfortable as possible for a little one who wants her mum 24/7. I have never had any concerns regarding their care and would highly recommend Kids Planet Shrewsbury to anyone! So glad to be back! Thank you!

It was not always great due to the management changes and communication issues. When my child was eligible for 30 hours free, it was challenging to speak to someone about the arrangements and plan what would suit us and our family. I nearly gave up and took my son out of the nursery as it was so stressful
and the invoices were coming incorrectly calculated. Also, I still have not received any response for the speech and language therapists that I requested over a year ago. However, I would like to acknowledge that my child enjoys attending the nursery. I appreciate the opportunities given to make friends. The activities offered appear to be adequate for supporting the kid's skills development.

My daughter has been here since she was 9 months old and is now 2.5 years old. They have always lots of engaging and fun activities both indoors and outdoors to encourage the children to explore and learn. My daughter's communication has absolutely blossomed since being here and she is always encouraged
to be herself and express herself. The staff are great and very supportive of parents and children. The food is fab - children never go hungry. Overall, my daughter loves it and so do we!

Since my daughter has been attending this nursery, she has come on leaps and bounds with her talking, communication, and connecting with other children. She comes home and sings nursery songs and shows all the moves to join with the song. The nursery teachers are a great asset to the nursery and are

I could not be happier that I found Kids Planet, my son loves going there and it's so nice to see the amazing staff make such a fuss of him when I drop him off. I can see he has formed such fantastic relationships with them and it's comforting for me to see that they've learned his likes/dislikes and

Michelle Edmonds

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024

I am the nursery manager of Kids Planet Shrewsbury. I have previously been the nursery manager at Kids Planet Mablins Lane (Crewe) and prior to that a room leader in the out of school club at Kids Planet Haslington. I hold a BA(Hons) Primary Education without QTS along with Paediatric first aid, food hygiene, Level 3 Safeguarding and Designated Safeguarding Lead training and a Level 3 ILM.
I have worked with children professionally since 2012 working in the Nursery and Out of School Clubs. I really enjoy the variety my job brings on a daily basis and how I have watched the children transform through their childhood.
In my spare time I am an active member of Girlguiding UK being a unit leader of a Guide and Ranger unit. This includes planning and running various activities, trips, camps and holidays as well as fundraising and taking part in community work. I also enjoy going to the theatre, visiting National Trust properties and I have a keen interest in anything Harry Potter!
