Croft Day Nursery - Bexleyheath

My Daughter was eight months old when she first started at Croft Day Nursery - Bexleyheath and it's safe to say I was an extremely nervous Mum. She was a baby born in lockdown and therefore hadn't spent any time away from me. The thought of sending her to nursery filled me with dread. However, from day one all of the staff were extremely supportive and did all that they could to ensure she settled in quickly. Nothing is too much for the team and all of the staff are caring and attentive. The nursery itself is always clean and tidy and has a lovely garden area. Every day is filled with fun and educational activities and I love that we get sent observations and photos so we can see what they have been up to. My daughter has now been there over a year and has excelled in so many ways. She goes in happy every day and has built amazing bonds with other children and the staff. I can honestly say the key workers know her so well and truly show care and consideration for her and as a parent that is all I can ask for.

Croft Day Nursery - Bexleyheath is one of the best nurseries in the Bexleyheath area, having sent our daughters to 2-3 other nurseries. The nursery itself is spacious and facilities are new and purposeful. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and most importantly they show genuine kindness to the children they are looking after. I’d highly recommend The Croft to any other parents.

My son has been attending Croft Day Nursery since he was 10 months old (now 2). Croft Day Nursery Bexleyheath was brand new when he joined in Nov 2021 and the staff have worked extremely hard to ensure the children have a safe, fun and nurturing environment. The management are very open to hearing from parents and I have seen lots of feedback implemented which is great. The staff build strong relationships with the children and individual needs are taken seriously. Facilities are clean and modern, with good outside spaces and a variety in terms of meals and snacks. My little one is happy walking in and out each day and I am looking forward to seeing him continue to grow there.

Our little girl has been attending the Croft Day Nursery - Bexleyheath for almost a year now, and we are genuinely delighted that we found this gem of a nursery. The nursery setting is clean, bright and beautifully designed to stimulate play and development. We look forward to our little one getting stuck into the veg patch and cooking room later in her time there! The equipment and variety of materials for the children to engage with is also great, genuinely gave me lots of ideas for home! However, the absolute standout feature of this nursery are the staff. From the manager, assistant manager, key workers and staff in other rooms, it feels as though all the staff make an effort to get to know the children and families they work with. There are some days when our little one doesn't even turn round as she walks in smiling! We've had great communication from key workers via an app, chats at collection and parent's evenings. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Croft Day Nursery.

Wonderful setting, the nursery itself has great rooms with lots of activities for the children. The garden and little woodland garden are perfect for little ones to explore. The real cherry on top is the staff, they are kind and considerate and you can see how much they care for the kids. So glad I found this setting.

My son has a speech delay and the ladies at the nursery have been working closely with me and the medical professionals to assist with his needs. The staff there are amazing and genuinely do a good job with the children. My son enjoys going to nursery and has built such good relationships with the staff that it puts my mind at ease when he's there. I highly recommend this nursery - I viewed 11 in the borough and am glad to have chosen this one for my son.

A fab nursery. They really go above and beyond with activities to keep the kids busy. My little one is only two but I really value her education and they have been great at pushing her within the appropriate boundaries, such as practising writing and tracing her name, emotional development, learning about the world and its cultures as well as plenty of crafts, reading and playing. The staff appear engaged, attentive and caring. There is an app for weekly photo updates and her development is measured against the birth to five matters framework. Food is always great and they encourage good table manners. I couldn't recommend the nursery more, your child will thrive here.

My 3-year-old son has been attending the Croft Day Nursery since September 2021. He's only ever been cared for by family and myself, so I was incredibly nervous leaving him with "strangers" but I didn't need to be! Following the pandemic, he was a very introverted and anxious child and the ladies at the nursery have done an incredible job of bringing him out of his shell and helping him find his confidence. All of the ladies at the Croft are helpful, friendly and genuinely care about all of the children who attend. The nursery itself is very modern, clean and welcoming - couldn't recommend it enough. We'll be very sad leaving the Croft for school in the next few months!

Our 18-month old child was excluded from this nursery for biting, and the nursery only gave us 2 days' notice to find alternative childcare. The nursery themselves admitted they had staffing issues, which is why they ‘couldn’t handle our child' and since our departure, they also increased their daily rates £7 per month ‘to secure more staff’. From our perspective it also looks like not only they do not have enough staff, but that the staff they do have is not experienced enough to deal with any kinds of age-appropriate issues and/or needs. We chose this nursery because of the beautiful modern setting and the success of another branch. We learned the hard way that the ambiance doesn’t always translate into experienced and supportive staff, something that many families in that nursery are now becoming aware of as they are moving their children elsewhere.

I’m so glad I picked this nursery and when I hopefully have another child I will definitely be sending them too!

My daughter started at the Croft Day Nursery, Bexleyheath when it first opened in May 2021. Being only 8 months I was really cautious of putting her into nursery so young but having found the Croft I can honestly say I have no worries. She has settled in really well. My eldest daughter went to a different nursery 6 years ago and I was disheartened to find they had a waiting list when I initially enquired but was so pleased when they informed me of their new location. The nursery has been refurbished to a great standard. The staff are so warm and friendly and seem to genuinely care for my daughter. I would highly recommend the nursery!

My daughter has been attending this setting since it opened and I have nothing but praise for the staff and owners of this fabulous establishment. My family have owned and run a children’s day nursery for over 60 years so for me to send my child to another nursery I am in a great position to judge and compare. Well, the setting itself is incredible and complimented well by the staff that it houses and that run it, the development of our daughter is testimony to the level of care she receives and I openly recommend to anyone that listens. Thank you to Croft Day Nursery - Bexley Heath for helping us make our daughter have the best start to her life and giving her the tools she needs to be ready for school when she leaves. My younger daughter started nursery at the Croft Day Nursery Bexleyheath at the very beginning when it first opened and she has been enjoying it ever since. The premises have been refurbished to a high standard with everything a child could dream of, from a big climbing house with slide and a large garden with a nature corner where they can grow their own vegetables, to a messy-play room with a kitchen where they learn how to cook and bake. You can see a lot of care and thought has been put in it. Although it only just opened up in May 2021, our family has known the team, the manager and the owner for a number of years as my older daughter has been with another branch since she was a baby. What makes the Croft stand out from many nurseries in Bexley is the dedication, the genuine care and the warm and positive vibe of the whole team which is the most important thing your child needs. You know it when you walk in the room and see the staff genuinely happy and enjoying their job.

Our son has just started attending this nursery and the staff are amazing, so attentive and keep us informed about how our little one is doing. He settled in very fast in no small part due to the caring staff. The nursery itself is stunning and must be the best nursery in Bexleyheath and a contender for the best nursery in London!
