The Orange Tree Day Nursery @ Burton is part of the Orange Tree family of nurseries. Situated on a residential street in Burton-upon-Trent, it is easily accessible by car, with parking available, or by the 11 and 12 bus routes.
The nursery follows the EYFS curriculum and emphasises the importance of learning outdoors. Children enjoy seasonal outdoor activities, from sweeping leaves to growing vegetables.
The pre-school for children aged 3 -5 is led by a qualified teacher to ensure that each child is ready to start school.

My daughter loves going to nursery, all the staff are great and make me feel comfortable leaving her in their care. They do a wide range of activities and have a great outdoor area.
Safeguarding is very good from what I've seen. My grandson loves being outside and joining in the activities.
I don't see the food given but I am told he does eat all up and seems very happy.
When me and my child's father enrolled our daughter we were greeted with the warmest welcome by staff and management.
During our show around, not one detail about the nursery was missed. Each area was described in detail about how it will help our child's development, growth and also allow her to have fun while doing so.
Since our daughter has attended she's gone in happy reaching out for all staff as everyone has made an effort to get to know her and create a bond. We've had daily dairies and the best feedback in an evening helping our home routine run well. Also alongside these we have some lovely images of our daughter thriving with the orange tree setting which fills me with confidence!

I collect my granddaughter twice a week and I often just spend a few minutes watching her and she is constantly smiling but today I got to drop her off and she was so happy to be handed over to the baby room staff which was great for me! I always get a detailed review of my granddaughter's day when I collect her which is great. In summary I couldn't ask for a better nursery for my granddaughter and would highly recommend.
Management would fob me off with oh well, this happens in nurseries. As this had started to affect my child and was so frequent, I complained and met with the owner, to see if she could prevent it from happening so frequently.
Her distorted views, and ridiculous excuses, that this behaviour is 'normal' within her nursery is completely unacceptable to any parent. Not the sort of attitude you would expect from someone running a nursery. Maybe if it was her own child on the receiving end of constantly being hurt, she would feel more understanding rather than expecting parents to just accept it. She was unable to grasp how this behaviour was having such a negative impact on my child.
Their latest Ofsted report clearly states that challenging behaviours need to be managed better by members of staff!

Staff are caring and friendly. My daughter is always happy to go to nursery and she is gaining confidence every week. The nursery have also supported with potty training well. Thank you for all you do!
We viewed lots of nurseries in the area for our daughter, as soon as we walked through The Orange Tree Burton we know we wanted to send her there. The atmosphere of the nursery is fantastic, it feels bright and inviting, a lot of thought has gone into the layout and decor of each room. The staff are brilliant, really friendly and positive and easy to talk to. I'm incredibly impressed with my baby's development so far and I'm excited to continue to watch her learn new things with the help of The Orange Tree.
My daughter has been at The Orange Tree Day Nursery since September 2023. She's always been really happy when she's there! She's been developing nicely and learning new skills. Most of all - she's safe! That's what matters to me the most!
I couldn't personally hand-pick a group of nicer people I would trust to look after my children. They are so friendly and so welcoming both of my children adore them. They have no issue working with you to achieve goals with your little ones and will also help with advice and reinforcement when needed.

My child absolutely loves the Orange Tree Day Nursery. The staff are so kind and caring, they really do go above and beyond to meet the needs of my child. They provide a range of fun indoor and outdoor activities and keep us informed of our child's development and their day at nursery.
The ladies at the nursery are fantastic. They are great with my son and he loves it there. The nursery itself is amazing. It looks fantastic and is a very clean outstanding place to take your child. 100% recommended.

My son loves going to Orange Tree Day Nursery, he asks if it is open on the weekends too. He has learnt a lot and is developing so much in his language, skills and manners I would say. Amazing staff, clean and tidy environment, yummy meals. My son learns new songs every day at the nursery and sings continuously at home. Big recommendations to The Orange Tree Day Nursery and a big thank you to all team!
This nursery is absolutely fantastic! The staff are very welcoming and friendly with the children. The children love it there and always leave with a smile on their faces. The nursery manager is very supportive and creative.
Excellent nursery. Wonderful staff, always cheerful and smiling at children and parents. My daughter loves going to this nursery. She has been going there for a year and a half and thanks to the staff I can see how much progress she has made in development.
The nursery is great. My little one (1 year old) seems to really enjoy her time at the nursery. The staff are all very friendly and seem to get on great with her. The app and daily updates really help me and my wife feel connected to our little one throughout the day.
Since attending The Orange Tree Nursery in Burton on Trent ( Branston) my daughter is a happy and confident little girl! Her language developed massively. An amazing nursery where I can feel that my child is loved and staff are taking good care of her. My daughter loves going there. I'm sure she is going to miss nursery a lot once she will start school. I highly recommend the nursery.
After a poor experience at a previous nursery, The Orange Tree has been an absolute godsend for my daughter. She has got all of her confidence back and comes home each week having learnt something new. The staff are all amazing and you can tell they all genuinely care about the children and their development. She has so much fun, learns lots and eats yummy food each day. Will definitely be sending my little one to The Orange Tree when he's a bit older too.
My little one loves it here. She's been going to the nursery for the past 6 months and settled in really well. All the staff are great. It's really clean and tidy and the outdoor garden is really big. I would really recommend the nursery.
