Bright Little Stars Nursery in Barnet opened in November 2020 and is situated on a quiet residential road opposite beautiful green space near High Barnet Town Centre. They believe that it takes a big heart to shape little minds. Their passionate staff team pride themselves in creating a warm & loving atmosphere.

The high spec nursery features a newly renovated purpose-built, gated property over three floors with four modern & bright learning rooms specifically tailored to each age group. The learning rooms have dual air conditioning/heating, modern interactive LCD computer screens & high-quality resources to ensure children have the best care & learning facilities.

Large, bespoke outdoor play areas have been carefully designed with all areas of learning considered. They include a tranquil sensory garden and a custom-made playground activity centre for climbing, creative and imaginative play which balances freedom with safety. In addition, sheltered areas give each room direct access to the outdoors.

Bright Little Stars also offer a unique Learning Programme that nurtures a love of learning by bringing play & teaching together into the curriculum. Prime areas feature phonics & literacy, mathematics, science & botany, culture & geography, ICT, expressive arts and home learning. They even provide a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs at no extra cost. The nursery is committed to providing healthy and wholesome food freshly prepared by their onsite chefs and designed by a nutritionist.

The nursery has strong partnerships with parents and provides a secure app to share daily activities and learning progression for each child, as well as a ParentCam for parents to ‘drop in’ via a secure webcam facility at any time. Their Head of Teaching and School Relationships supports parents when it is time to think about sending children to school by building relationships with schools and holding Parent Workshops.

After moving house and leaving the only nursery our 2-year daughter has ever known, we were filled with trepidation with her settling into a new nursery. We need not have worried. With the fantastic support of the management, admin and teaching staff at Bright Little Stars, our daughter not only settled
well but has been thriving in this new learning environment.
The learning offering is creative and fun. As a parent, I'm informed of their current topics and how I can extend this learning at home. The nursery offers training courses for parents, which is so helpful.
The manager has been very supportive and accommodating. One lady is a superb teacher; she is very approachable, listens to concerns and provides detailed feedback on my daughter's progress. She has made small adaptations to activities to allow my daughter to flourish.

We just love this nursery and our child is so happy. There were a few teething issues when we first started but since the new manager has taken over, the place has gone from strength to strength. Informative webinars are planned so that parents can engage in developing their own knowledge. There are
also events so that parents can get to meet each other. We love the events where we can come into class and be involved with our children. Within the class, a range of stimulating activities are planned and the outside clubs are fantastic. We particularly love the yoga classes. The management is approachable and understanding when discussing any issues and they are always resolved fairly. The manager clearly has a passion for what she does, she goes to lengths to make sure that the nursery is always at its best. Our child comes home and talks fondly of the activities and experiences she has had and loves the adults supporting her. Thank you, Bright Light Stars for making our time with you so happy.

My 3-year-old goes to this nursery and now my 9-month-old has just started. They have been amazing at nurturing and building confidence in my 3-year-old, to prep her for school. She's been there for 1.5 years and I've always received regular feedback with how she's progressing. They've also been so
great at helping develop her in areas she may require support. I've been so impressed that now my 9-month-old has also started. I'm overwhelmed by how caring the staff have been over her and give you constant feedback, which I value so much. They send you lots of updates and pictures, so you feel like you're not missing out. What a great nursery!

My son started at this nursery in November 2020 and now my daughter is there too. The nursery have great facilities, fantastic staff and really wonderful teaching. The children are taught to be independent and the nursery support you in all aspects to push your child onto the next level. They have pool
parties in the summer, discos in the party seasons, external companies to provide even more opportunities for learning through play. Both my children rarely want to come home.

Our son joined when he turned 2 years old, back in May this year. We were so impressed by how well he settled and in the months since, his development and progress has been a joy to see. The staff provide really comprehensive feedback at the end of the day and it is clear that they pay close attention
to all his small and big milestones and interactions with other children. A big reason we chose Bright Little Stars was the fact that they have CCTV access if we wanted to log in and see our son throughout the day. However, we feel so reassured and comfortable that we rarely even log in! He really looks forward to being there and the extra-curricular activities. As parents, we've even joined a few optional evening zoom meetings, which provide advice and guidance on things like helping with learning/behavioural development.

This has been a great nursery for my daughter! They have really helped a lot with her speech and language development over the last few months. I don't normally leave reviews but I know how helpful they can be when looking for the right setting for your child. My daughter has been at Bright Little Stars since it opened and we have been so happy with the care, the teaching, general ethos, facilities and activities. This is a really incredible
nursery. The staff are all absolutely lovely, kind and caring. There are lots of extracurricular activities offered for the kids in the preschool room including forest school, yoga, mindfulness, Spanish...it sets them up amazingly for reception. Everything is delivered in a way that puts the kids having fun at the centre of it. Bright Little Stars is a really lovely setting - I don't know anyone who is less than happy with it!!

It can be daunting leaving your child in a nursery and difficult to find the right one. Our daughter has been at Bright Little Stars since opening and we could not be happier with the nursery. The staff are warm and friendly and always greet us with a smile. We find out about the children’s day from
thorough updates and receive excellent advice. The facilities are incredible and it is maintained to a high standard.
Our daughter is always excited to get through the doors she has developed so much since being here. It is a safe and secure environment and could not recommend enough.

My 2-year-old has been going to Bright Little Stars in Barnet since January. He absolutely loves it and looks forward to going in each day. The facilities are great as it is all brand new and has lots of space. He is engaged constantly throughout all the various fun learning activities. The staff are

At first, I was nervous about leaving my daughter at a nursery but when I had a look around and saw how welcoming, clean and friendly Bright Little Stars Barnet was, I was put at ease straight away.
It is a state-of-the-art nursery, with so many fun things for babies and toddlers/young children to
get involved in. The staff seem very enthusiastic and encourage the children throughout the day. The children seem to enjoy their time there and my daughter seems so confident and smart, which I think is wonderful!

My one and three year old children both go to the nursery and absolutely love it. My one year old was born in lockdown and didn't have much experience with other people but the nursery have been excellent in making her feel comfortable and happy. She is like a different child now. The facilities are
excellent, clean and spacious. The menu is great, the kids eat better than I do! The children are constantly supported in their learning and as parents, we get regular feedback on their progression. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this nursery.

My daughter started at Bright Little Stars Barnet in January. I signed up as soon as they publicised they were opening and have not looked back. It is a state of the art nursery - every small detail has been considered for staff and children.
Though we drop my daughter off every morning we still feel
involved in her life and play by nursery CCTV provisions and regular updates on their parent portal. She has come on leaps and bounds in the last month alone. The staff are so attentive and I feel reassured leaving my daughter with them.
We have strict dietary requirements and the nursery has also catered to this fully.


I especially cannot recommend the staff in the Orion room enough.

I am so glad that I chose Bright Little Stars for my daughter.
We researched a number of nurseries and even tried a couple in Barnet but none were satisfactory.
However, Bright Little Stars Barnet, has been the right fit from day one. My daughter has loved every minute. She’s always eager to go
to nursery and has thrived so well there.
I am grateful to all the staff at Bright Little Stars for the excellent work they do especially in these tough times. All the staff are so lovely and caring and they make you and your child feel special.

Karma Kaur

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Karma is the Nursery Manager at our Barnet Nursery. Karma has over 15 years of experience working in childcare, having started her career at a Montessori Nursery. She holds a Level 3 Qualification in Early Childcare and also a Level 2 in British Sign Language. She is passionate about the development of children and believes that creating a safe and fun environment ensures that every child reaches their full potential. Karma has excellent communication skills and is keen on sharing her skills and experience with her team to support them to provide a high level of care and education for the children.


Karma loves the outdoors and is interested in incorporating a Forest School Approach where children can learn through their own experiences in the world around them. Being a parent herself, Karma understands the worries and concerns that parents have regarding the care of their little ones; she has a very warm and approachable manner.
