Harrow Day Nursery & Montessori

My child has only been here a month but they have already grown and developed more in speech and character.

My son has been attending Harrow Day Nursery for a year now and has settled in so well there. His primary caregivers always go above and beyond to make sure he is happy and comfortable in his environment and developing well. The staff are excellent, always happy and create a safe and loving environment for my child to learn and develop.

The team are amazing at looking after and caring for my son. He is always happy to be there. I’m 100% confident that my son’s physical and emotional needs are met at the nursery. The management team and staff do a super job of caring for our son.

My baby started at Harrow Day Nursery & Montessori a few months ago and I could not be happier with how he has settled with thanks to the staff who are kind and welcoming. For me to see my baby excited to see his key worker and other members of staff at the start of the day is lovely and reassuring. The building is spacious and clean and staff have lots of activities going on. After being obviously very nervous about my baby's start to nursery, my experience at Harrow Day Nursery has been nothing but positive.

My little boy has been attending Acorn Montessori since he was 11 months. From day one he settled in so well with the baby room staff. They made me feel so relaxed and kept reassuring me. He is now in the toddler room which is a busy room. He talks so much now about the things he has done. He loves the nursery and enjoys his time there. He talks about how much he loves his teachers and hearing him say how they help him, is so nice to hear.

My child loves going to nursery, marching in, and skipping out. The key worker is lovely, giving out lots of cuddles and giggles. This is our 2nd child through Acorn, and we are very happy with our experience.

Acorn is a wonderful nursery with a brilliant set of staff and key workers. My daughter enrolled at Acorn 3 months ago at the age of 11 months. They are always available to help and answer questions. They go out of their way to ensure that the babies are settled, exploring, and enjoying their days.

My grandson has been attending Acorn for 1 year now, he started when he was 11 months old. We have seen him blossom, learning new words every day. He is not even 2 yet and tells us what he’s been up to at nursery. He loves it so much, happily saying bye in the mornings and not wanting to go home. Staff are so loving and caring.

Our family is very happy with Acorn Montessori Nursery. The staff is friendly and both my kids learned so much there. It is really a great way to prepare the little ones for school. My children enjoyed the time there, especially the garden play area and doing arts and crafts. Thank you all from Acorn Montessori.

My niece really enjoys it there. The staff are very good. Dealt with the deputy manager a few times - totally amazing. They have so much to do in the nursery and my niece really likes it. The activities and the interaction have been amazing.

I have two children currently enrolled at Acorn Montessori and am delighted with the time they spend there. Not only do they engage in fun and exciting (and messy!) activities that keep them happy and engaged, they are learning a tremendous amount. They get to play in the large garden with lots of toys when the weather is suitable, which I am sure they love. They come into nursery happily; my toddler walks in confidently to his key person, whilst my baby gets a cuddle from his. The children come out clean and tidy, and fully evident of having been properly looked after. The staff are truly lovely with the children and they have formed secure attachments. I was always wary of nurseries after my experience of several with my oldest child - Acorn Montessori was sadly full at that time. However, since sending my two little ones to Acorn, I can honestly say I think it is a fabulous nursery and I am so glad I can send my younger children here.

Acorn is a wonderful nursery and I would highly recommend it. My son loves it there and has developed into a confident, chatty toddler. He frequently comes home singing songs he's learned there and tries to teach them to us! The staff are great, incredibly caring, and were instrumental in helping him build his confidence when we started toilet training.

Acorn is a wonderful nursery and the staff are great with the kids. My daughter has progressed so much here and learns a lot from her days at nursery.

Our experience of the nursery has been very positive - caring and thoughtful staff. Our daughter has attended since 10 months and has transitioned from the baby room to the toddler room in a seamless manner.

Acorn Montessori have been absolutely fantastic with my two boys. Since they started here I have noticed that they are much more articulate in their speech, their knowledge has improved with my 3-year-old learning new words and using the words in context such as 'mummy I am generous' when sharing food with his 18-month-old brother. My 18-month-old sings the alphabet from A to Z regularly and is able to use words such as 'share it' 'thank you', 'sorry' all in context and appropriately. They are very happy here. The nursery workers are always happy even at the end of the day. They are genuinely patient and appear to enjoy what they do. As a professional, I have noticed that the manager and all the workers are professional in their approach yet approachable, caring, compassionate, and really kind. They always seem to have and make time for you as a parent and nothing ever seems too much of a bother when it comes to them caring for your child. I highly recommend!

Our daughter is currently at Acorn Nursery upstairs in the Preschool room and she is absolutely loving it. They do lots of cooking, planting, and creative activities. The outdoor mud kitchen is always a favourite of hers too! The team are super kind and available to speak to, we always know what they have been doing and what we can do to help as parents. The online system in place works really well. Our eldest son also attended the Nursery and we have felt the change of ownership since his departure has been dealt with professionally and sensitively. The ethos is still very much child-centred which we feel passionately about and we would still recommend this Nursery to other families.

I feel genuinely lucky to have found this wonderful nursery. I had no idea how hard it would be to leave my 2-year-old son and the staff have been very understanding of this. The manager and deputy manager are such positive and supportive people, who radiate warmth towards the parents and children. My son’s key person is kind and sweet and has really taken the time to help him settle in at his pace. The 2-3 year old room is big, bright and clean and the outside play area is spacious and very well equipped. I am also very impressed with the variety and cleanliness of the indoor toys. There is something very special about the premises and the staff at this nursery and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Everyone is really nice and they take interest in helping my child's development. My son is really happy when I take him to nursery in the morning. His key person does different, interactive activities with him and I’m noticing he’s more keen to learn new things.

My son has been at Acorn Montessori since he was fifteen months old and I've been very happy with the nursery. It is difficult to leave your child in the hands of strangers, but Acorn Montessori has become like family to us and I really appreciate the way they have cared for my son. They do a range of activities and my son has always come home smiling and full of knowledge. He has turned into a remarkable young lad and I have no doubt that Acorn Montessori has contributed to this. As an NHS doctor, I have been impressed with the handling of the nursery during the pandemic. Thanks, Acorn Montessori team! My daughter will be the next to arrive and I'm sure you will give her the same level of care and love.

My daughter, who is now 7, started off at The Harrow (Acorn) when she was 1, before leaving for school at 5. My son who is 4 is still currently with Acorn. We have been very happy with the care provided to both our children. In particular, 2 of the managers who have managed the nursery impeccably ensuring the children are happy and comfortable. They have also attained the highest level of communication with parents, so as to build a sense of trust and ‘family feeling’ within the nursery. We have felt very comfortable in being able to call or attend the nursery with any doubts and they have in turn made all information available. Both my children have loved going to nursery and settled very well. They have learnt to a high preschool level, due to the attention given by the key workers and teachers. The work done by these 2 managers is highly commendable and I would recommend this nursery to all my friends and family.
