Bright Star (Chingford) is a privately owned day nursery dedicated to providing exceptional early years education and childcare for children aged 3 month to 5 years.

The setting offers a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow, and thrive through play-based experiences.

There is a passionate and qualified team following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring that learning and development are tailored to each child's individual needs, interest, and ability. Curiosity is valued, independence, and creativity, helping children to build confidence and a love for learning from the very beginning.

The nursery is purpose-built, with two outdoor play areas that encourages physical activity, nature play, and outdoor learning. There is great importance on health, nutrition, and wellbeing, providing freshly prepared, balanced meals cooked on site each day.

Working in partnership with parents is important to them, maintaining open communication and regular updates through daily feedback and digital learning journals. The goal is to create a family-like atmosphere where children feel secure, valued, and ready for their next steps in education.

They is limited funded places available, and the nursery accept childcare vouchers, student finance, and childcare tax credit to help toward the cost of childcare.

Our daughter attends this nursery and we are happy with it so far. The staff are friendly, calm, caring and they accommodate your baby's needs. Whenever our daughter has nappy rash, they apply nappy cream. They encourage naps after lunch and try to get the baby to sleep. Our daughter didn't want to
sleep at the very start due to new environment and new people looking after her but after a couple of weeks she was fine and started eating and sleeping well.

We have had a positive experience with this nursery. The staff are attentive and our son is so happy and settled there, since he started 5 months ago in the baby room.
The manager and deputy manager are great and quickly respond to emails and questions on the phone. Always greeting us with a smile
and positivity.

We are so delighted with Bright Star Day Nursery and their care for our son. The staff are kind and welcoming, they clearly know every child well and are warm and nurturing in their care. Every evening at pick up our key worker takes time to chat to us about our son's day and we discuss any plans that
we have for him in terms of new skills etc so that home and nursery life tie together smoothly. Our son is blissfully happy going to nursery here, he can't get in the door fast enough! We couldn't say more positive things about our experience, would highly recommend to anyone.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 8 months old and I couldn't be happier with the care she has received. The staff have always been very accommodating and reassuring, making the transition to nursery life much easier for both of us. They were especially encouraging during the
potty training phase, providing support and guidance.
Now that she is in the preschool group, I am impressed with how they prepare the children for primary school. The nursery does a great job of fostering early learning skills in a fun and engaging way.
I also appreciate the frequent updates via their app, which keeps me informed about her activities and progress. We recently received her two-year development feedback and I am very pleased with how she's progressing.
Overall, the nursery provides a nurturing and supportive environment and I highly recommend it!

Bright Stars is an amazing nursery. My twins started here in January 2024 the team are amazing and attentive. On my tour the deputy manager showed us around we looked at some work the children did to show what type of activities my twins would be doing, the sensory room the twin's room and the garden.
As they only went 2 days a week and constantly being ill it was hard for them to settle at first but the team were awesome and patient.
The manager is an amazing lady I like that she or the deputy manager responds to emails quickly and she's involved with the children doing activities and so forth. Overall this nursery is one to have a look at I am sure your child would love it here.

My daughter has been going to this nursery for the past 3 years and now starting Reception in September. I really cannot fault all the staff, very approachable and friendly and dealt with enquiries promptly. My daughter loved the nursery from day one, she settled there very quickly and I never had any
problems. Booking extra sessions for my daughter was never an issue. I am very satisfied overall, they are doing a great job.

I am very pleased with the staff and management of the organisation. My child is well looked after, any queries/concerns are addressed in a timely manner, we continued to use the nursery even after moving out of the area, definitely recommended.

My little one started in the nursery in February and he has settled in very nicely. He seems very happy when he stays there and when we pick him up. All the practitioners seem very caring and they always do a good variety of activities. The food offered is healthy and there is always variety on the
menu. We are overall very happy with the nursery so far.

Very happy with Bright Star and the care they provide for my son (19 months, has been attending since he turned 1). He settled in well and is now very happy to be dropped off. He loves all the staff and has a great attachment with them. He eats really well there and staff always update us on all the
activities he’s done throughout the day. He is quite an ‘intense’ baby and needs lots of physical contact with adults to feel safe, and lots of support to get to sleep - staff have always been amazing at meeting his needs and I trust them to look after him in the way he needs.

My son has been at the nursery since he was 8 months old (now 2) and I honestly couldn’t ask for better care. He absolutely loves going to nursery and we receive regular information on activities he’s involved with, as well as a daily update on how his day has been/what he’s done. The staff are brilliant,

Our daughter has just spent two great years at Bright Star Day Nursery, going from 11 months to just under 3 years old. In that time, she has learned to crawl, walk and talk and we really believe the nursery environment and staff have been instrumental in her development. The nursery building and outdoor
area are safe and secure and backs onto green space, parking is easy and the supermarket being right there is a bonus! We have always found the staff to be very friendly towards us and our child and to develop caring relationships with her that they really cherish. We are moving out of the area but would happily have kept our daughter in the nursery and also taken our baby son there; the nursery is one of the main things we will miss - highly recommend!

It’s a very nice nursery. I would say best in Chingford. My first daughter was attending this nursery and my second daughter going to this nursery. All staff are very experienced and kind to kids.

We recently moved to the area and were a bit nervous about changing nurseries as we weren't sure how our little one would go with the change, or if we'd be able to find the right nursery.
After meeting with the deputy manager and seeing the nursery, I was impressed. The premises are fantastic, with
a sensory room, outdoor play areas that are both covered and uncovered, secure entry, plenty of buggy parking space, and conveniently located next to a supermarket!
My son has settled in nicely with his key worker and the lovely team, and really seems to be thriving. Each of the team I've met has been caring and wonderful. The nursery manager has been great to speak to about any questions I have as well. We're very happy to be sending our son here and feel safe in knowing the team here is as good as they are.

My son started his nursery journey in March 2021. He settled in so well. I felt extremely comfortable leaving him when I would go to work. He left in July 2023 and the amazing graduation party was a lovely send-off for him and the other children who were embarking on their new journey into primary school.
I would highly recommend this nursery.

After viewing 5 different nurseries in the Chingford area we finally came across Bright Star Day Nursery and booked a tour, the deputy manager showed us around and we instantly got a warm feeling from herself and the nursery staff.
The nursery is spacious and colourful with different rooms to cater
to the different ages of kids. They also have a lovely sensory room which I knew my twins would love! The nursery has 2 big outside areas for the children to play, my twins are very happy and settled here after starting a month ago.
The teachers are especially amazing, my twins seem to really take to them, there is another great teacher my kids like, and the nursery manager is really easy to speak to and cares about the children. All of the staff at Bright Star are kind, caring and patient, they really work hard to provide a safe and fun environment for the kids to learn and grow in, we couldn’t have picked a better nursery!

I’m very happy with the nursery. My son loves his teachers.
The manager is amazing, she is so organised, lovely with the kids and always responds immediately to our mails.

I found my daughter to be very happy at the nursery, the staff are caring and communicate well. Love the fact that my baby girl is now waving goodbye to the teachers and blowing off kisses.
Whenever I had questions or concerns the staff were very helpful. The manager is amazing and reassuring as I
have called in every day for the first two weeks to check how my baby was doing.

I really recommend this nursery, as your child can develop perfectly in a circle of pleasant educators and children. The child has a large space for learning, entertainment and development with other children.

Absolutely brilliant. The teachers are amazing and very helpful.
They do lots of activities that help my child learn.
They have a good-sized playing area inside and outside. Enough for the children to have space.

My child has been enrolled at Bright Star Day Nursery since June 2023.


The staff is exceptionally welcoming and nurturing. I've witnessed significant improvements in my son's motor skills since he started attending. Whenever I have inquiries, the staff is readily accessible and helpful, particularly

when I sought guidance on introducing solid foods to my child. The nursery's flexible operating hours have been a tremendous help, especially given my long work hours. I am genuinely delighted to have discovered this nursery, and it has brought me great satisfaction.
