Good Manors Day Nursery Queenswood Lodge is located in the market town of Waterlooville. The nursery building previously served as a doctor’s surgery until its refurbishment into a nursery in 2020.

The nursery has three light and open plans rooms, which are carefully designed for the children to become independent learners. There are plenty of natural resources and furniture, inviting children to control their own learning and development. The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The large garden has room for exploring, with space to run and explore, as well as areas for the children to discover the world around them.

The setting is lucky to be located opposite the Queens Inclosure woodlands, which allows the children to use this 100-acre woodland for adventures outside of the nursery.

The team liaise with local primary schools to ensure that children are well prepared for the next stage in their education when it is time to progress on to ‘big school’.

My daughter has been going to Good Manors Day Nursery at Queenswood Lodge since January this year and the staff had made her transition into daycare very easy for us. She absolutely loves going to nursery and we have very quickly seen her turn into a confident little girl. All of the staff have been
very warm and welcoming. The diary system is really nice too so we can see everything she has been up to all day including knowing about all her naps and meal times. It is great to see our daughter learning new things all the time and seeing how many different activities she gets up to whilst she is at nursery, including spending time outdoors. I am also really pleased with the varied menu offered, my daughter gets to try lots of different foods each week. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery from all that I have seen so far.

My son loves his time spent at nursery, staff are all very welcoming and caring. On the whole a lovely nursery however would benefit from more varied activities and planning around events taking place to aid Children's learning.

I cannot speak highly enough of the nursery. My son had a really hard time adjusting at first, how they dealt with it made me feel at ease leaving him with them. The updates they provide on the app are amazing, I know everything he has done throughout the day. Seeing his little smile in the pictures
is evidence in itself how much he loves it. His key worker and the whole team are really caring. He’s only a couple of months in and already he gets sad when we leave after picking him up. He absolutely loves it there.

My little boy absolutely adores everyone at Good Manors Day Nursery Queenswood Lodge. He’s only 1 and walks in every morning with the biggest smile on his face and doesn't even look back to say goodbye most mornings because he’s desperate to get in! Everyone is so lovely, approachable and welcoming
and I go to work every day he’s in nursery knowing he is in the safest hands with them all.

My son has been attending Good Manors Day Nursery since he was 9 months. He enjoys his time at nursery and all the activities and delicious food. The staff are all lovely and friendly and have helped out with additional needs where required. There are plenty of play areas and toys which allow him to
explore and develop at his own pace with the support of the team. The app is brilliant and the staff are always taking videos and photos so I can see what he's been up to throughout the day. I would happily recommend the nursery and think it is good value for money.

Since my son moved to this nursery he has progressed leaps and bounds with his vocabulary and social skills. He cannot wait to go every day, running through the door as quick as he can, the staff are all lovely and so hands on with the children

I have had a pleasant experience with Good Manors Day Nursery and my son really enjoys it there. However my only concern is that I do find it cheeky that we still have to pay for bank holidays when the nursery is shut, that would be my only negative. - as us parents loose a days money if we can’t get
childcare but still have to pay out for a days session when it’s not our choice that the nursery is shut, however the service and care does outweigh that but I would still only give four stars for value of money because of it. The staff and the nursery itself I absolutely love and my sons key worker is amazing. I love the app and the updates I get throughout the day and that you occasionally get to see videos of your little ones on the app. Very friendly environment and the girls and chef do an excellent job!

My daughter has been going to this nursery for over a year. She absolutely loves it. The staff are great with her and when she started she settled in straight away. The updates we receive from the staff/app are great. So much information with pictures is very nice when you miss them during the day.
The
change in ownership has become a concern with parents as they have increased the price and changed a lot of the T&Cs to benefit themselves, which is a shame.
Overall, the staff are fantastic with the kids, food is great but very expensive.

My son has attended Good Manors now for over a year, he was one of the first babies to join when they opened. I have nothing but positive things to say about the nursery and the whole team! They cover every little detail and are always thinking of the children's needs. The nursery itself is very well
set out and always very clean and tidy. The home-cooked meals always smell so good and definitely a huge advantage to the nursery. I always feel my son is safe and cared for. Communication is always very good and efficient and the app they use is fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for the girls, they have a brilliant manager who organises everything so well. I honestly would recommend Good Manors to everyone!

Good Manors has been wonderful for my two sons. The transition period is very well managed and done with a lot of care for the individual child. The staff are well informed about the stages of the curriculum and have been very helpful in supporting my child with additional needs. The nursery facilities
are clean and there is a lot of space for children to explore. I would definitely recommend.

My child has been attending this nursery for just over a year now and we could not be happier with them. The app is excellent and their communication is great. All the staff are so friendly and caring, the activities they do with the children are great and a good variety. The nursery itself is beautiful,
still very new and the children have access to the toys so can make choices themselves. The food is fantastic, my child was a fussy eater when she started and now eats almost everything they give her. We are so pleased we chose this nursery and reassured that she is happy there.

I couldn't recommend Good Manors Day Nursery Queenswood Lodge enough. My little boy started when he was six months old, they made the transition for me and him so lovely and easy. He absolutely loves going to nursery and the staff are all so warm and welcoming. I love being able to look at his daily
diary on the app to see what he has been up to and love looking at all the pictures they post of him. He's always smiling when going in and comes out with the biggest smile on his face which is so reassuring as a parent.

Our son has attended the nursery full-time since he was around six months and is nearly two. He enjoys going to 'school' as we call it. They offer a range of activities each week and the log of their days is very informative and a lovely evening read after a day at work. We enjoy looking through the
many photos of the day and try to engage with the little one so he knows we see what he does. The nursery is well presented and the staff are absolutely brilliant, so friendly and will do anything to help.

My only negative about the nursery is the pricing, especially when getting funding. £12.90 for a day towards food and resources is extremely high, especially when you can't bring a packed lunch, and seeing on the food diary that she hasn't eaten much is a crazy amount to pay. With looking at moving
pre-schools because of this one nursery charges £1 if they want to stay for dinner with other meals included so I can't understand where the rest comes from, as this also includes resources. My daughter doesn't eat £12.90 worth of food in a week at home let alone 1 day a week in the nursery. On another, I can't thank the staff enough for bringing her out of her shell since starting.

We could not recommend Good Manors nursery enough. The staff are fantastic in every way and we couldn't wish for any better for our daughter. I am so happy with this nursery. We moved our son here after a bad experience at another nursery and couldn't be happier with our choice. We feel confident leaving him there, the staff are so lovely and nurturing - you can tell they really love their jobs. They are so interactive with our baby boy,
he just loves them and really enjoys his time at nursery. We are kept well informed by the app and the updates are really lovely and show that staff are actively developing his skills. Lots of fun activities as well like messy play. The facilities are lovely as well especially the outdoor area. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Our daughter has only been attending for just over a month now, but we are so happy with our experience of the nursery so far. It was in fact recommended to us by a friend and we are very grateful to them, as it is the setting we were looking for; calm, well resourced, nurturing and child-focused. The
staff are friendly and knowledgeable; and seem to really care pastorally for the children. Feedback from staff is regular and detailed, not just sweeping statements like 'had a good day'. Staff appears to actively seek to develop your child's skills at their identified pace and engage parents in this process. Our daughter has settled well and we feel confident in her safety and well-being at Queenswood Lodge.

My child has attended the nursery coming up to roughly six months. He has settled very well and loves coming in. I love the blossom app and that I am able to have pictures every day of the activities he has done so I can discuss these with him. All the staff we speak to are really friendly and emails
are always answered promptly.

Hi! Claire and I are the Nursery Managers here at Good Manors Day Nursery Queenswood Lodge. I am also qualified for Level 6.


Having worked in Early Years for 12 years, I have loved every minute of it; from watching babies take their first steps to waving our pre-school children off to school. I am passionate about my job and my team, and I strive to support each child to develop to their fullest potential through a range of fun and exciting activities; while also getting to know their families. Here at Queenswood Lodge, we love the outdoor environment and making use of the local wooded area, taking the children on exploratory walks and picnics, and supporting them in exploring the world around them.
