I am a mum to my own two little ones, which is why Banana Moon Barnstaple started in the first place!

I am Level 3 qualified and have nine years of experience in my Early Years, from Nursery Nurse to management level. I'm really excited about being back in childcare after taking some time out to have my little girl!!

I work in childcare because I love working with children; it is so rewarding seeing each child develop, grow and learn as their own character. I am creative and enjoy messy play, my favourite activity is exploring water beads looking at the different colours and feeling the different textures!

I wanted to work in my early years since I was a teenager, and always used to babysit for family members, so I chose to make this my career. I love seeing the children progress and development and love giving the children lots of opportunities to learn through messy play!

I started a career in childcare because I always enjoyed looking after my friends' children and therefore wanted to give childcare a go! I completed my Early Years apprenticeship in 2019 and worked in childcare for a number of years, before leaving the sector to pursue another career. However, a few years later, I really wanted to give childcare another go and working at Banana Moon has made me realise that this is the right career for me!
