Headstart-On-The-Hill Nursery & Pre-School

A nursery like no other, unique, original and thoughtful in so many ways. As a first time mum selecting a nursery in an area which I had recently moved to, I found I was initially apprehensive. I could not have been put more at ease, the Headstart-On-The-Hill team feel like family. My child loves the setting and has increased hugely in confidence. Thank you to each staff member.

My child is currently in Oaks. He has been in the nursery since he was 12 months old so he has been through all classes. The nursery but most importantly the staff are amazing. He is extremely happy there and he is developing really well, this development is down to the care and nurturing he receives. Quite simply 10/10 Oaks. Thank you.

My child has been extremely happy since starting at nursery. He’s come on leaps and bounds, he always leaves and goes with a great big smile. They always accommodate to his needs and any requests I ask for. He loves trying all the different food and has such a varied diet and will try anything.

My child has been attending this nursery over a year now and he is so happy there. All staff are lovely and welcoming. He has developed so much here, everything is just brilliant and I love to hear what he has done throughout the day. Highly recommend this nursery.

My eldest son started at Headstart-On-The-Hill in January 2018 and my youngest is currently in his final year with them before starting school in Sept 2024. This means as a family we have been using the nursery for almost 7 years and naturally it goes without saying that I would highly recommend Headstart-On-The-Hill. I hadn't really appreciated back in 2018 how important choosing the right nursery was and how much the team would help and support you in nurturing your precious babies. It's very much a team effort. We genuinely see the whole team as an extension of our own family, both boys have loved their time there, running to nursery every day, they were so excited to be there. The weekly updates on the app I cherish and I made a keepsake book of them all when my eldest finished. The team work so hard and care very much for each and every child. I'll be so sad when we end our time with the nursery in July 2024, I have the tissues at the ready.

My little girl has come on leaps and bounds since starting at on the hill. Her confidence has grown and she really is thriving. The activities done with the children are amazing and she particularly enjoys the messy play and the trips out. It’s lovely to know your child is having an enjoyable time when you leave them and Headstart goes above and beyond to ensure this happens. The staff are amazing and so attentive. I cannot fault the nursery and I would recommend the nursery to any potential parents.

I feel that I have a lovely child because of his environment and what surrounds him and Headstart and its staff play a big part in this.

A great nursery. The staff are excellent and very caring and nurturing. They really go out of their way, very professional. Lovely social parents evenings, Christmas events, make an effort to include siblings from other rooms. One day my child was poorly and they got the elder one from the garden so they didn't see me, so they didn't get upset. Outdoor space could be better, especially for older kids and forest school provision could be more frequent. One of the more expensive local nurseries and not as flexible as they need to be.

I could not be happier. They do activities with my son that I could never afford to do because of time or money. Their messy play is great. Something I greatly admire about their program is their focus on different cultures. They sometimes have days where they do something in the colours of flags of other countries or eat food and I think that sort of exploration is so valuable to children. The staff are excellent. Shout out to 5 members of staff in particular in his current class and my son was previously in Blossoms (which he loved) so shout out to 3 particular members of staff. My son looks forward to going to nursery and he doesn’t realize it but he is learning. I wish they had Jo Jingles back because I think it’s beneficial to have diverse voices (different artists) presented in the child’s journey. Great location. Great engagement with the parents. I do not shut up about how much I love my son’s nursery.

We cannot fault Headstart on the Hill Nursery. Our son has enjoyed his experience in both blossoms and willows so far and this is a credit to the amazing staff. All staff are always so helpful with any personal requests without hesitation. Every transition has been seamless and we have felt very well supported by everyone at the nursery. Our son enjoyed all of the activities that they offer and is constantly learning new experiences.

My children adore nursery and we feel totally comfortable leaving them in each day. There are some very special people as staff, we feel very lucky to have such a great team caring for our children in their early years.

Our whole experience from the very beginning of our child starting at Headstart on the hill has been truly wonderful. For any parent this is an emotional time, but every single member of staff made us feel at ease instantly and made our child feel welcome and settled. He goes in every day happy and excited which is credit to the staff and everything they do for the children. His development continues to wow us and I will be eternally grateful for all of the support everyone has given to us as parents, but most importantly to our child.

Headstart on the Hill is an amazing nursery. My son has recently joined the toddler room and is thriving. The staff are so lovely and caring and it has such a wonderful feel to it. Every day he does many exciting things and he's so happy to go. We couldn't ask for a better nursery.
