The nursery always go above and beyond for my daughters who attend. The care the staff provide to my children is exceptional, this is consistent throughout all rooms and staff, from key persons, room leaders, kitchen team to the management team, they always do this with a smile on their face. The activities planned have had a huge impact on my daughters development and skills, both my children nave made huge progress since joining the nursery. I can't thank them enough!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful feedback with us. It is great to hear how well your daughters are progressing and the quality of care which is being provided.
Our son loves this nursery! All of the staff are so welcoming, friendly and caring. There is a great range of activities daily in the classroom and garden areas. The children have also enjoyed trips out which is a nice experience for them. It's good to have a key worker who looks after him so well and all the team are brilliant.
Thank you for taking the time to share this lovely feedback with us. It's great to hear that your son has received great support from his keyperson and he has enjoyed trips out into the community.
Our son has been at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Orpington since he was one and he is about to leave for primary school with so many skills, talents, ideas and happy memories. The staff are incredibly professional, compassionate and knowledgable and the success of the nursery and the children is absolutely down to the commitment shown every day by the management team. Parent opinions and ideas are listened to and actioned and there are lots of ways parents can get involved. We absolutely made the best choice for our son.
Thank you for sharing this lovely feedback with us. It is great to hear about your positive experience and wonderful to hear the strong engagement with parents which the nursery promotes.
My son has absolutely loved his time at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursing so far! From the settling in sessions to the daily activities, meals, Parents' Evenings and special events, so much care and thought is put into what they provide. It was important to us that our son received the love, fun and nurturing that he would at home. We've loved both of his key workers, and the staff, in general, are just phenomenal.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. It is great to hear that you are having a really positive experience and your son is enjoying his time with us!
The staff are amazing and passionate about what they are doing with a great management team who inspire them. The care they receive while there is great and I've always been confident about leaving them there.
Equipment is updated on a regular basis and they have great external experts coming in to help the child where needed.
I would recommend it to anyone.
This is an excellent nursery. Wonderful and friendly staff, very professional, clean and modern and always striving to improve for the children they care for. As a mum I feel well informed on my sons days and development and I can really see how much he gets from being there. Highly recommend!
My daughter started at Monkey Puzzle around 6 months ago, and she absolutely loves it, she settled in amazingly and feels completely at home with all the staff. I have been so impressed with how the nursery is run, all the staff are so friendly and easy to talk to, and whenever I pick my daughter up she’s engaged in something different, she’s not once looked bored or upset, the food offered is varied and healthy, and they really put an emphasis on getting the kids out to the garden space which is great! I love how involved I feel in my daughter's time there, with detailed updates throughout the day about how she’s eating and sleeping, as well as regular uploads of photos of what she’s been doing. Overall I really recommended this nursery, and will be very sad to leave when my daughter moves on to school!
My daughter has been at Monkey Puzzle for nearly a year. She loves going to nursery and has built up fantastic relationships with the staff. They constantly challenge and encourage her to learn new skills. The garden space is a particular asset for the nursery, especially in the warmer months.
The best Nursery, my child has developed a lot since he came here. At first he was crying because he didn't know anyone, especially since every day he was only with me, but now he is happy and eager to come there
My sons have been at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Orpington for over six months now and I have found it to be an outstanding nursery. I work in education myself and have found the standards at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Orpington to be so high in terms of everything from safeguarding to encouraging the children to thrive in any way they can. My two are so loved, cared for and are lucky to have such an incredible team supporting them. The manager is an exceptional leader with such great attention to detail and care for the children. We were previously with a childminder and it is the best thing we ever did moving them to this environment. A huge thank you to everyone who supports my sons, too many amazing staff to mention individually.
Very friendly staff, nursery provides good facilities and outdoor space. Our daughter loves being in the nursery a lot.
My 2-year-old son hadn’t previously attended a nursery or a childminder and had only been looked after by either myself, my husband or my mum. I was very anxious for him to start in a nursery setting, but after looking around at the friendly, modern and creative environment at Monkey Puzzle we decided to try it and started a 2 week settling in session. There were of course, the classic parental guilt moments during this time, but the staff were so friendly and helpful (and even obliged my phone calls after half an hour of dropping him off to update and reassure me!) He settled by December and before I knew it instead of clinging onto me and crying during drop-offs, he was letting go of my hand and running into nursery! The staff really strive to create a true partnership with us and help towards any developmental issues we may have. Any issues we have they do their utmost towards helping us (i.e. speech development) they say it takes a village to raise a child after all!
My 1-year-old son has had a very positive experience of settling in at Monkey Puzzle Orpington. The staff are really friendly, the building has just been refurbished and feels really nice and modern and I like the fact that there is a garden at the back. He gets to do lots of creative things which are more difficult to do at home and loves being with other children. We get a full update on how he's got on at the end of every day. Highly recommended.
Our main caregiver is friendly and approachable and seems to really care for our daughter. But all of the staff have been excellent. They all care about their job and the children they look after.
Our experience in settling our eight-month-old has been amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and have made us feel very welcome and comfortable. I was very nervous leaving my on at nursery and now having had out settling sessions I do no worry at all. Thank you to the team for all the help settling our little one in.

The nursery is owned by local businessman Arlind Marku, who graduated from Middlesex University in 2007 with a BA Hons in Business Studies and Italian. Since graduating he has run a number of family businesses, always with the intention of returning back to his dream of owning a children’s day nursery. Arlind was always aspired “to own a nursery that is full of happiness and joy, creating an environment where children can thrive”.
I enjoy using my business knowledge and passion for children to support our team and improve the opportunities for our children. I am a firm believer that children are our future and we must give them an understanding of how powerful, important, valuable and perfect they are.” I am now extremely excited to be embracing the challenge of opening our third nursery and creating another wonderful setting within the local community of Orpington. Keeping children safe and happy alongside meeting and developing their needs will always be at the forefront of what we promote and value as a team.
“Our vision is to create a wonderful space where children will be safe, cared for, loved and happy. Our children and families will always remain at the centre of what we do. We will provide a space where children and our team can learn, grow and develop with support, encouragement and positivity being the keys to ensuring a high-quality provision.” Nick has previously worked for Asquith Nurseries where he began as a volunteer. He completed his Early Years qualification and worked towards becoming Manager of the company’s flagship nursery helping to achieve an Outstanding Ofsted grade twice and being held over 9 years. Nick’s passion is focused upon supporting both the children’s and the team’s development and helping to deliver the highest standards of childcare across all areas of the nursery. The best part of the day though is always seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as they laugh, learn and play. Nick is a huge sports fan, who especially enjoys football, tennis and cycling. He also loves watching films, reading, visiting the seaside and meeting up with friends over a good cup of coffee to help relax.
I have been in childcare for 24 years now and I absolutely love it, I started out as an apprentice and gained my level 3 in childcare through work.
I was lucky enough to get promoted throughout my career, right through to a manager where I gained my level 4 in management, followed by my diploma in management. I absolutely love being around children, seeing them progress through nursery life, and knowing that I was privileged to be a part of that.
I am a mother myself, to my son of 12, stepdaughter of 17 and stepson of 22. I love baking cakes, but they’re not always very good and I’m also a keen fisher lady.
I am based at our Bromley branch but I also support our Orpington and Tunbridge Wells nurseries.
I have worked in Early years for over 10 years and I could not imagine doing anything else. We have achieved the highest standards for our families and team.
I love being a part of watching the children develop and grow, supporting them to reach their personal milestones.
I have previously supported and led Ofsted inspections supporting nurseries to achieve Outstanding outcomes. I felt extremely proud that
I have had experience in a variety of different roles, I started my childcare journey, newly qualified as a bank member of staff. I was offered a full time position as a nursery nurse and not long after I became a Room Supervisor and began to develop my leadership skills.
A few years later I was given the opportunity to work as a third in charge in the nursery. This is where I gained more managerial skills and began the children and the teams across a range of ages. After a few years, I was a Deputy Manager where my passion for supporting children continued to flourish and I added the role of SENDCO, supporting children with additional needs and further developing our inclusive practice.
I continue to support many children with additional needs, their families and our staff teams with children’s learning outcomes working closely with the Bromley Borough and relevant agencies.
As part of my role, I support providing enabling environments and with the quality of teaching and learning.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and going on holiday to visit new places.
My favourite part of working with children is observing and supporting their experiences, seeing how they navigate between their different emotions. Watching and supporting them in their very own unique way of learning and creating an enabling environment based on their personal needs is extremely important to me.
In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with some good music or a wonderful book but also enjoy powerlifting as a form of exercise.
