My son absolutely loves Evergreen! Since moving here in January he has learnt so much and made so many friends! I have only good words to say as my son loves going here every day, and has improved so much with his social skills and especially his vocabulary!
My daughter has recently started at Evergreen, she hadn’t left me since March when the pandemic started. I was very worried about how she would adjust in a new setting but it’s safe to say she loves it. She’s been a little upset but as soon as we get to the door and the staff say what they are up to she is straight in waving me off. It’s so nice knowing my child is happy and in safe hands!
We left our son in the nursery as both I and my wife are key workers during these difficult Covid pandemic times. The staff were very accommodating and flexible. My son really enjoys being in the nursery. I would highly recommend this nursery.
We would highly recommend Evergreen to anyone looking for a high-quality caring learning environment for their child.
We moved our daughter here from another nursery over six months ago and wish we had done it sooner. She settled immediately, as all the team are amazing, genuinely care about all the children, work brilliantly as a team and are passionate about what they do. There is a great involvement with us as parents with regular stay and play sessions as well as regular updates on what they’ve been doing. Highly recommend.
Our son has gained so much confidence and knowledge whilst at the nursery and he has made some wonderful friendships. The nursery building is bright, clean and welcoming and has different areas that enable the full curriculum to be delivered.
Teachers often share their knowledge with parents, which allows them to have efficient time with their child at home. They also keep parents up to date with the child's development, pointing out next steps and topics which they are going to teach, so parents can talk about the same things with the child at home. Nursery staff prompt parents daily about meals the child has had and pass on all the necessary correspondence. The nursery works with third-party organisations, so children could have supervised activities such as; swimming, rugby, football, etc.
My child has grown so much, socially too.
My daughter has come on in leaps since we moved her here - re her speech, table manners, social aspect, eating more veg/less picky with food. She always wants to go every morning and rarely wants to leave. The mixing of pre-schoolers with toddlers means toilet training progresses quickly. Most importantly, they spend a huge amount of time outdoors regardless of the weather and consequently she is raring to walk to nursery, come rain or shine and is keen to ride he scooter/bike daily. Fantastic. Regular time spent sitting with books is also paying dividends. Thanks.
Fantastic nursery, friendly and welcoming and have dealt amazingly with our child’s sensitive needs. Would definitely recommend.
As parents, we cannot recommend Evergreen more highly. No two days are the same and the staff put their all into creating activities that are not only a lot of fun but educational too. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting there and surprises us every day with something new she’s learnt. There is a big emphasis on spending as much time as possible outside exploring and playing and the outside area is fantastic and changes as the weather does - in the summer the paddling pool often makes an appearance! The nursery staff genuinely go above and beyond to make Evergreen what it is - a wonderful nursery with happy children and a real sense of community.
Our little boy settled in quickly and absolutely loves going here. The team are an absolute credit and put in 110% consistently. Would highly recommend.
My daughter attended two nurseries before she started school and neither were up to the standards that Evergreen demonstrates on a daily basis.
My son's confidence and learning ability have come on so much since starting at Evergreen and not only are the staff supportive and encouraging to my son and the other children that attend the nursery, but they have been supportive and encouraging to me as well.
I can't thank them enough for the time and effort they have put in to help us. For all these reasons I can't recommend them enough.
Nothing but goods words to say about Evergreen, fantastic and they all do an amazing job with all the kids. You can tell that from the moment you walk in. My little girl loves going. I would highly recommend to other parents, as I think the staff are doing an amazing job with the children, they all seem so happy.

Meet the Team (17)
Hi, my name is Alison Astley, and I am an Early Years Teacher at Evergreen Early Years. I lead on Pre-School, the curriculum, and SEND.
I have been a teacher for over 20 years and hold a BA (Hons) degree in English. My belief that a child’s love for learning begins in the early years has led me to work at Evergreen, supporting our youngest children at the very start of their learning journey.
I am passionate about helping children to become confident, happy learners who develop strong language skills and a natural curiosity through everything they do.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including long walks on the beach and in the woods with my husband, our two daughters, and our dog, Obi.
Hi, my name is Laura Davy, and I am one of the Managers at Evergreen.
I have worked in Early Years since 1997 and bring many years of experience to my role. I hold a Level 5 qualification in Childcare Education, Leadership, and Management.
My role at Evergreen is to oversee the quality and consistency of the care and learning provided across our three settings. This includes supporting the team to access learning and professional development opportunities to enhance their practice. I also lead on internal operations and support the nursery owner with wider nursery developments.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cycling, spending time outdoors, and crocheting.
Hi, my name is Charlotte, and I am the Nursery Manager at our Fulwood setting. I also lead on Pre-School, Parent Partnerships, and EAL provision across our three Evergreen settings.
After spending one year at our Ladyewell setting as the Pre-School Lead Teacher, I was delighted to join the Fulwood setting as Nursery Manager. Before joining the Evergreen family, I spent ten years teaching and leading across Early Years and Key Stage One in a large primary school.
I am passionate about providing children with the best possible start in life, building strong foundations, and supporting them to become confident, inquisitive, and independent learners.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two children, along with family and friends. Together we love spending time outdoors, sharing stories, and finding joy in the small moments.
It is a privilege to be part of such a wonderful team at Evergreen, where nurturing each unique child is at the heart of everything we do.
Hi, my name is Mehz, and I am the Deputy Manager at Evergreen Early Years, Fulwood.
I enjoy working with children and supporting their individual needs. I have worked in Early Years for several years, both within a children’s centre and here at Evergreen.
I am calm and patient and take great pleasure in helping children to progress and develop further in their learning.
Outside of work, I enjoy going on walks and exploring new places that I have not visited before.
Hello, my name is Jackie, and my role at Evergreen Early Years is Family Engagement Lead.
I joined Evergreen in February 2026 after having been at a local Primary School in Preston for the past 26 years, where I was a Family Support Worker. Within that role, I have supported many families who have been facing difficulty but who also just felt they needed a listening ear and somebody to talk to. I have also supported the children in school with their learning in many ways.
I decided to move over to Early Years as I felt that I needed a new challenge, and I was lucky enough to obtain my position at Evergreen.
I have two grown-up children, a daughter aged 35 and a son aged 31. I also have a 6-year-old granddaughter. I love family time and making lots of memories with them. In my spare time, I make sure that I continue with my hobbies, which include walking, reading, crochet/knitting, puzzles, yoga, crafts, and baking.
Within my job role, I love that every day is different, and I hope that I can support and make a difference to the families of Evergreen Early Years.
Hi, my name is Amy Chappell, and I am a Senior Practitioner at Evergreen. I also lead on Physical Development, Oral Health, and Outdoor Learning.
I hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and have worked at Evergreen since the nursery opened in 2017.
I absolutely love working with children and supporting them as they develop and reach their full potential. I have eight years of experience working with children aged 0–5 and enjoy sharing my knowledge and ideas with the wider team.
Outside of work, my hobbies and interests include reading, running, photography, and being creative.
Hi, my name is Samira Secretary, and I am an Early Years Practitioner here at Evergreen Early Years. I hold a degree in Teaching and Learning.
I enjoy spending time with children and supporting them as they learn and develop.
Outside of work, I like to spend time with my friends and family and enjoy travelling. I have big dreams for the future and look forward to continuing to develop and reach my goals.
Hi, my name is Mia, and I am a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner at Evergreen.
I have always enjoyed working with children and love supporting their development through fun, creative, and stimulating activities. I particularly enjoy baking, dancing, singing, and finding new ways to help children thrive while learning through play.
I recently moved to Preston from London and am very much looking forward to being part of the Evergreen team. I take great pride in helping children move forward in their development, building their skills and knowledge with confidence.
Outside of work, I enjoy creative activities and spending time exploring new interests.
Hi, my name is Harpreet, and I am a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner at Evergreen Early Years.
I have been a qualified practitioner since 2011 and have a strong passion for teaching and learning. I find it extremely rewarding to support children to reach their full potential and love watching them grow and thrive.
Outside of work, I have a loving husband and two children. My children previously attended Evergreen Early Years Fulwood and thoroughly enjoyed their time there, developing so much during their journey.
In my free time, I enjoy baking with my children and spending lots of time outdoors with my family.
Hi, my name is Jasmine, and I am an Early Years Apprentice at Evergreen.
I am really enjoying working in the early years and will soon be starting my apprenticeship. I currently work with children aged 2–4 years while learning and developing my knowledge and skills.
Outside of work, I live with my mum, dad, sister, and brother. I have two dogs, Tess and Izzy, and I love spending time with my family and friends.
The best part of working with children for me is seeing them grow, learn, and develop each day.
Hi, my name is Heather, and I am an Early Years Practitioner at Evergreen, Fulwood.
I enjoy working with children and take great pleasure in supporting their learning and development. I am a creative person and especially enjoy arts and crafts, both in the setting and at home with my children.
Outside of work, I am married and have two little girls. I also have four rescue rabbits and a rescue cat, which we love caring for as a family.
I enjoy spending time outdoors and being in nature, particularly walking in the countryside. I also enjoy running and socialising in my free time.
Hi, my name is Rebecca, and I am a Nursery Assistant at Evergreen Early Years.
I have always worked in care and went on to study nursing for a year before leaving to have my children. During this time, I discovered how much I love spending time with children, which inspired me to begin my journey in Early Years.
I am passionate about supporting children in their learning and development, and I look forward to gaining my Level 3 qualification in the future.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our three young children. We love going to the beach for walks and enjoying whatever fun activities the children choose.
My favourite part of working in Early Years is building strong relationships with the children and watching them develop, grow, and gain confidence.
My name is Lucy, and I want to work with children after enjoying a placement I went on.
I am signed up to study my level 2 and have recently joined Evergreen as an apprentice.
Hi, my name is Katey, and I am an Early Years Apprentice at Evergreen.
I have previously worked at Rascals Play Centre for a year and have also gained experience through babysitting for family members. I chose to work in the early years sector because I wanted to have a positive impact on children’s futures and help make their nursery experience the best it can be.
Outside of work, I live with my mum and brother. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends.
My favourite parts of my role are seeing the children smile and planning fun, engaging activities for them.
Hi, my name is Imen Bouzabia, and I am an Early Years Assistant at our Fulwood setting.
I hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and have spent three years volunteering in a local primary school. In addition, I have 13 years of experience teaching children to speak and understand the Arabic language, which has strengthened my passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
I am passionate about helping children grow in confidence, supporting their individual needs, and celebrating their progress as they learn new skills. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the children at Evergreen and being part of their early learning journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, walking, and spending quality time with my family. I am very proud to be a mum to three wonderful children, who are my world.
It is a pleasure to be part of the Evergreen team, where every child is supported, valued, and encouraged to thrive.
Hi, my name is Fiza, and I am part of the Business Administration Support team at Evergreen Early Years at all three settings.
I have a background in running my own business as an aesthetic practitioner, which gave me strong experience in administration, organisation, and working closely with people.
I was drawn to the Early Years Sector because I value the importance of supporting families and creating a well-organised, positive environment.
At Evergreen, I support the nurseries with administrative tasks, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, I’m a mum to two wonderful girls and enjoy spending quality time with my family.
I love knowing that the support I provide helps our nurseries focus on caring for children and families every day.
Hi, my name is Heather, and I’m part of the Central Admin Team supporting all three settings.
I’ve worked in a variety of administrative roles over the years, including running my own business for 10 years, which gave me a strong foundation in organisation, communication and supporting teams.
I have two young daughters who have both attended Ladyewell since they were nine months old, so the nursery is very special to our family. Outside of work, I enjoy going for walks with my two dogs and making memories with my family, especially during holidays in Cornwall and the Lake District.
One of the things I love most about my role is working alongside such a wonderful team. Everyone is so enthusiastic and passionate about helping to shape young minds in the early years, and it’s a privilege to support the important work they do.
