Little Delwood Kindergarten

Our daughter has been attending Little Delwoods for about six months now and we are so happy we chose Little Delwoods for her. The nursery staff are always so kind and attentive and always appear cheerful. We know how much our daughter loves attending Little Delwoods from the way her little face lights up when she knows it's a Little Delwood day. The Famly app is a great feature enabling us to see what she has been up to at nursery and it's lovely to see her with her peers and teachers. I would definitely recommend Little Delwoods to anyone looking for an outstanding place for their little ones.

Little Delwood is a fantastic nursery, my daughter looks forward to attending every week. We transferred in September from a different nursery which was no longer offering the nursery experience we were looking for. Little Delwood more than meets our requirements. They have a lovely nurturing environment and do so many fun activities such as baking and taking lots of walks in the local area. They also do a fantastic job in helping the children gain independence skills in readiness for school.

I feel my daughter is well taken care of and at the same time helped in her development.

Fantastic setting with great staff who really care for the children and who make sure there is a wide range of interesting and fun things for them to do. Our child loves their time there and we will be sad when the day comes that they won’t longer be attending.

Our son has been attending Little Delwood Kindergarten since March of this year. I am so grateful that we have been able to find such an excellent setting with such kind and caring staff who are so fond of and bring out the best in him. We have noticed so many positive changes in his development, his speech, how he communicates with us and views the world. He literally skips into Little Delwood for his two days a week and always comes home happy and eager to tell us about his day. I feel that the staff at Little Delwood all have a unique set of skills and bring something very special to the setting. They seem to complement each other well and they create a lovely atmosphere filled with positivity and fun for the children. The updates we receive via the Famly app are always interesting and lovely to read, giving great examples of the experiences of the day. I am so happy with our son’s pre school journey at Little Delwood and would whole heartedly recommend this setting as an outstanding place for little ones.

Little Delwood is a fantastic preschool. The staff are very caring and it is a very homely environment. My son enjoyed going to the pre-school everyday and he made some great friends there. All the children there are always happy and smiling. The staff put in extra focus on my son's eating as he was a poor eater and they were so accommodative when I had concerns. I am so glad my son attended this pre-school.

The Little Delwood Kindergarten team have provided an outstanding service and level of care to my little boy since starting in March 2020. We have been so pleased with the high standard of staff, care, learning and overall feedback provided by management and all the key workers. After a short start due to Covid-19, they settled my little one back in so quickly. They always go the extra mile and really take an interest in your child’s needs, likes and what they enjoy. The structure of my little boys day is filled with fun games, lots of learning, reading, storytime, baking, painting and going for long walks in the woods in the mud! He always comes home with a happy, tired boy.

My daughter absolutely loves being at Little Delwood! She is always happy at the end of her session and is full of all the fun activities she has done that day. Every day is different, with lots of variety and time spent outdoors. They are given delicious and healthy snacks, which she loves! Daily photographs and updates are posted on to the parent app and it is wonderful to get an insight in to their day. It is lovely to see my daughter so happy, settled and making lots of little friends. Little Delwood has a real family feel to it, the staff are all really lovely and very approachable. They are doing an amazing job in these difficult times, to keep the kindergarten safe and as normal as possible for all the children. Thank you Little Delwood!

My daughter loves it here! A very positive and happy place to send your child. The staff all know the children well, they keep parents informed through daily tapestry observations and my daughter always comes out smiling. There are focused daily adult-led activities which engage my daughter and she enjoys and talks about when she gets home. She particularly enjoys the snacks provided and take fondly of the crumpets and fruit! The children are often outdoors or on walks and staff know how to move the children forward in their learning/development. Thank you Little Delwood.

I love the setting of the kindergarten as it is in a quiet area of Chandler's Ford. I was looking for a middles ground between forest school and nursery. Little Delwood ticks all the checkboxes. They went out every day to play and to the nearby woods to explore, but also offer the clean and stimulating inside environment. As my little one was not toilet trained yet, changing area and sleeping area are both very important in my checklist. I also like that we bring our own lunch so I know exactly what and how much my little one is eating every day. The staff are super friendly and accommodating to our little one's needs. I have visited more than 10 nurseries and kindergartens to finally settled on Little Delwood. Never a second we regret the decision! We get to see what happens every day in Tapestry photos. They now have a holiday club to cover school holidays which makes it even better and I don't have to worry about holiday childcare cover.

Absolutely love this kindergarten, never felt more comfortable leaving my child whilst my husband and I work. The staff are brilliant. My son loves each and every person there (child and staff members). There is never a day he doesn't enjoy going. They do so much exploring (offsite), painting, reading, singing etc. Won't hesitate to send my youngest there when he is old enough. They are always updating their Tapestry page so I know what my son has been up to each day too. So pleased I found this little gem of a place.

Our daughter has been attending Little Delwood since November 2020. The team have been wonderful at supporting her to settle, their communication at this challenging time is excellent and they’re always friendly and approachable. There’s a relaxed family feel and this helps me to feel comfortable when it’s always hard dropping off your children and going to work yourself. The daily updates the team provide via the online system help me to feel part of her day and I love how much they take the children out on walks and explore the outdoor environment. I would happily recommend the setting to anyone who was to ask and I hope our daughter continues to be as happy as she currently is when she attends.
