The facilities are the best of any nursery in Southfields. They have a large playground full of toys, games and fun activities, as well as a second playground with slides, swings, agility courses. There's a lovely woodland walk where the children go on a bear hunt, or look for safari animals, birds, shapes, sounds, etc. We have loved how much the team prioritises outdoor play and spending time in nature.
Inside, there's also a great soft play room with ball pit, slides, hiding places, trampoline - it's amazing! They also have special visitors every month for sensory and music classes!
We'll really miss Seahorse and the team!

Hi - I'm the Principal of Seahorse Nursery. I’m the person who is responsible for making sure all our children are learning, happy and safe while in our care. I grew up in Southfields living above the original term time setting and have been teaching in Early Years since 2012. Before moving into Early Years full time I worked for the Home Office in London and the European Parliament in Brussels. I studied at Kingston University for my Early Years Teacher Qualification and more recently studied at the Said Business School at Oxford University through a Goldman Sachs small business programme. I live locally in Southfields and have two children. My main responsibilities are teaching and learning, day-to-day operations, recruitment and safeguarding. I look forward to welcoming you to Seahorse!
Carly has been the Area Manager of Seahorse Nursery since joining the team in 2017, after gaining years of experience and training since starting her career in the early years of 2011. She received her degree in BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education from the University of Roehampton and continues to take part in training every year on a range of different topics and is especially knowledgeable in Safeguarding, SEN and Health and Safety Practice.
Carly is involved in all aspects of nursery life, and although she is primarily office-based, you can also find her in the classroom, helping with meal times, and getting involved in a wide variety of activities and parent events.
Hello and welcome to our website for our beautiful nursery in Southfields! Feel free to take a look around and contact me if you'd like to schedule a tour. I'm excited to meet you!
I joined Seahorse Nursery in 2022 as a deputy manager and later transitioned to Manager. My journey in childcare began in 2015 as an apprentice studying for my level 2 and 3 qualifications. Drawing from my 10 years of experience in childcare, I ensure that my team of dedicated and passionate teachers delivers high-quality teaching and care to the children in our setting. I serve as the Designated Safeguarding Officer and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). I am committed to supporting parents from diverse backgrounds and helping them transition into joining the nursery. Whether it's returning to work after maternity leave, moving to the UK from another country, or enrolling your child in a nursery for social opportunities, I am here to support you. The children are at the heart of every decision I make, and I ensure that the children are at the utmost priority. I work in partnership with our ethos, 'Learning about the world through play' and help to inspire my team to embed this into their teaching daily!
