We have had two children move through the nursery and both have thrived there. It is a wonderful place and I recommend it without reservation. The head and deputy head lead a committed team of really kind, experienced and passionate teachers and staff, each of whom takes an interest in every single child. The staff are constantly looking for ways to develop and enhance the nursery experience for the benefit of children and parents alike and I am consistently impressed. The inclusion of Forest School in the pre-school year is also a wonderful bonus. Bravo Hurlingham! We will miss you!
I first visited Hurlingham Nursery in November 2021 and my only regret is not starting our daughter there sooner. Due to various circumstances affecting our family's living location, we couldn't move to the area and settle our daughter into Hurlingham Nursery till April 2023. I cringe now when thinking about the extra year we put up with substandard childcare at our daughter's previous nursery. The Hurlingham Nursery setting is quiet and calm, with beautiful little rooms brimming with happy, engaged children. The interior is bright and light, with lovely colours, soft music playing and children's artwork everywhere. Two outside play areas allow for fun and fresh air on sunny days, and the internal areas are equipped with fantastic facilities - including the use of the main church building for dance and exercise, and a huge internal slide! The staff and teachers are outstanding; caring, supportive and sympathetic to each family's needs. It is a truly exceptional place.
We love Hurlingham Nursery! Both our children went/go there and we have found it to be an exceptional place. The staff are all highly qualified, experienced, nurturing, and kind. They all fully appreciate the anxieties and concerns parents with young children might have and are always supportive towards both the children and parents. The curriculum is creative and children-focused. As a bonus they offer extended hours and holiday clubs for families who need them. We cannot recommend it more highly.
We have been delighted with Hurlingham Nursery School. The education and stimulation is excellent, the staff are kind and accommodating and the communication has been great. We are also very happy with how they are facilitating the transition to reception. We highly recommend it.
A superb setting where children are cared for and educated with equal importance. The range of activities and facilities on offer is first class. The flexibility that the nursery offer in terms of all day or wrap around care is life saving. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
We have been very happy with the nursery since our son started in Jan 2020. The staff are very engaged with the children and have exceeded our expectations.
A warm, happy and nurturing school, with a nice balance between teaching kids the essentials whilst also letting them discover things for themselves through play.
This nursery is outstanding, the staff are extremely warm and friendly. The teaching quality is exceptional. My daughter really enjoys her time there. We look forward to seeing how she progresses.
Hurlingham Nursery School is everything you could ask for in an Early Years establishment. The environment and provision are excellent but above all, the staff makes the place special. They are professional, highly qualified, and ultimately caring. I feel like they really know my son and genuinely understand how to maximize his potential. I couldn't be happier.
Hurlingham Nursery is a wonderfully warm, nurturing learning environment. The staff are excellent - so engaging and enthusiastic. The vast array of activities on offer e.g sport, languages, dance and yoga. In addition to maths and phonics taught in a fun way, gives children an all-around learning experience and provides such a rich early education. My daughter absolutely loves it.
Friendly staff, great variety of classes and activities. Efficient method of pick-up and drop-off despite Covid restrictions. The addition of forest school is also very well received by our child and their favourite part of the week.
Hurlingham provides a nurturing and structured environment which works very well both for children and parents. We have seen tremendous progress in the maturity and language of our child. We would highly recommend.
Hurlingham is an excellent nursery. As a family, we are so pleased with the wonderful and nurturing environment, and warm welcome when my daughter arrives and she is extremely happy there. Our little girl speaks fondly of the staff and pupils and is delighted with the activities and engagement with nursery life.
I have been so impressed with Hurlingham Nursery School. My daughter started just before lockdown and the nursery have been absolutely marvellous in terms of how they have nurtured and cared for the children throughout this tricky period. The first thing my daughter says on weekdays when she wakes up is 'nursery'! To say she absolutely loves every minute is an understatement. I cannot emphasise how much her learning has come on since she started. Her speech has improved beyond recognition but so has her imaginative play, her counting and her reading. We also get demonstrations of the yoga right before bathtime. She loves it, and we love it - a very special place!
Whenever I collect my Grandaughter, I am extremely impressed with the warm and nurturing environment. My granddaughter always has a smile on her face at pick and gives a happy goodbye to all the staff. I am thrilled that my granddaughter has begun her education at such an outstanding nursery school.
Fells like a school, so perfect preparation.
Good communication with parents and cosy surroundings.
Happy child and stimulated.
Amazing staff and facilities. Very human and honest teachers and committed to the care of the children.
The staff at Hurlingham Nursery School are very caring towards the children, and they are passionate about creating an environment for the children to learn through play. My daughters both love/loved the nursery and all of the activities they took part in. Most notably Forest School, karate, drama and phonics games. Keep up the great work!
I think this is an excellent nursery, and the quality of teaching is well above the norm. Every aspect of learnings is taken care off, and my son has enjoyed his time there enormously.
Our son has been at Hurlingham Nursery School since February 2018. He absolutely loves being here. All the children at the nursery appear cheerful and happy all the time. This is due to the wonderful teachers and teaching assistants who are always happy, caring and respectful towards the children. Our son walks into the nursery happy and confident. As a parent, this offers me reassurance that he is going to be happy and looked after. He has clear affection and has bonded well with his teacher/keyworker. I have no reservations about leaving my son in the care of Hurlingham Nursery School and would recommend to other families. Thank you to all the staff at Hurlingham Nursery School.

I have been hugely passionate about working with young children and this made my decision to qualify as a Montessori Teacher. I have been working in the Hurlingham Nursery for 14years and through this time my two children attended this Nursery and still have many fond memories of it. I’m passionate about the children’s well-being, happiness and learning and I have spent the majority of my teaching career working with children in this wonderful phase. I’m trained in mindfulness and music which I share with school and children as part of my daily routine while teaching. I believe that simple mindfulness practices are essential learning for our children, who are growing up in a turbulent world. They can help kids release anxiety, improve their ability to focus, and develop compassion and empathy for others. What more valuable skills can we give them?
