Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Chesham

My daughter has been attending Monkey Puzzle since September 23. The settling-in process was seamless and one my daughter took to. Within a couple of days, she was waving goodbye to us at drop-offs. I have been really impressed with the planned activities which have structure and are aligned with her development - this is great for working parents who sometimes struggle with this. She adores the staff - often referring to them at home. Overall this is a great nursery and one I have recommended to other parents I know.

My two sons have been attending the Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Chesham for 1.5 and 1 year respectively. They both settled in well almost immediately and absolutely loved it there. The staff is amazing, they make you and your children very welcome. There is a great atmosphere and you leave the nursery trusting the children will be well looked after. They had some issues with staff shortages, but I believe the management managed to overcome this.

Our 2 year old son has been attending Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery 5 days per week for the last 8 months and he seems so happy there and it's been so great to see how he has developed in so many ways since starting. The nursery sends us photos each day of the children's activities which include regular trips to the park as well as fun activities that the staff have arranged. He seems to have really developed socially since attending and we are constantly amazed at the things he has learnt and how his speech has developed. The staff seem to genuinely care about our son and I can see how happy he is to see them each day. As well as all the fantastic care the food options there are really impressive with a varied and nutritious menu available each day. I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough!

We genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing about Monkey Puzzle Chesham and we’d recommend it in a heartbeat. Our child is so happy there and really thrives in the caring and supportive environment the staff provide for him. The rooms are well equipped with good outside space and lots of different activities, the food is varied and healthy, the staff take the children out and about regularly, and they keep us updated every day with photos and developmental notes, which we love seeing - it’s been such a joy to see him grow and develop since joining last year and see him get excited about going to nursery in the mornings.

We’d recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a kind and fun place for their child to develop.

However, the staff at Monkey Puzzle were fantastic in helping my child (and myself) settle into his nursery routine. They kept me fully updated throughout the day via the nursery’s app and also provided me with updates at drop off/collection. The regular updates really helped to put my mind at ease. I was lucky that my child settled into the nursery quite quickly (in my mind I thought he would never settle in and I thought he would hate me and not trust me for leaving him). My child would not have settled in so well if it had not been for the care, kindness and patience shown by the staff at Monkey Puzzle. They truly have a great team at this nursery from the management to the nursery room staff all the way to the kitchen staff.

My boys joined Monkey Puzzle in September the same week we moved house so it was a huge transition. I was immediately impressed as the staff are all so friendly. My boys always seem to have had a great day with all the activities that are set out for them, from gymnastics to Spanish lessons. Thank you to all the team for taking such care of them for us!

Our son moved up from the babies to toddlers and has been slowly introduced and met all the new staff. All staff members are so lovely with the children. The food choices are excellent and home-cooked, and he has learnt and developed so, so much since starting.

We couldn't be happier with the care and support Monkey Puzzle Chesham have given our son since he joined the baby room in September. Despite suffering the inevitable illnesses that come with starting nursery, particularly for a baby born in lockdown, they helped him to settle in wonderfully. He only attends two days per week, but within two months we were lucky enough to see him off in the morning with a smile instead of tears and are collecting a happy, waving baby at the end of the day.

The staff form strong, genuine bonds with the children. It is obvious how well they are getting to know him and this is reflected in the feedback they provide. Our baby absolutely loves his food and always has something new to try each week, and plenty of it!

The owners and management team are so approachable and always receptive to feedback and happy to answer any questions we may have. We are already seeing how he is thriving from attending the nursery and we are thrilled with our choice of setting.

Our son absolutely loves Monkeypuzzle, the staff are fantastic with lots of activities, great meals, and a personal service. We have seen great changes in his development since starting, and he genuinely enjoys every day he is there.

We are very impressed with the nursery. Our daughter's been to a couple of nurseries in the area, and at Monkey Puzzle, there's a real sense of family and genuine care and interest in children. The size of the nursery is perfect. It feels so much more personable than bigger ones. Our queries are responded to quickly, the staff are so professional and welcoming. The room staff update me daily. My daughter has settled really well, so thank you.

My child went to Monkey Puzzle for two weeks. He is outgoing and very social who loves to talk and play with other kids as well as grown-ups. He was extremely unhappy in the period he spent at Money Puzzle. Knowing him we realised that there is something he doesn’t like about the place as he used to love his previous nursery that unfortunately shut down because of the pandemic. We finally decided not to send him anymore and after we told him, he finally expressed his feelings as he was under no pressure and he said he was ignored by children and grown-ups, kids wouldn’t play with him and he would be left on his crying!

My daughter loves going and cannot wait to wave me off in the mornings so she can get on with her exciting day ahead!

I would 100% recommend it to anyone in the area.

I cannot recommend Monkey Puzzle Chesham highly enough. My daughter had a very difficult time settling at nursery due to shyness (which was quite extreme maybe due to lockdown) and the whole team at Monkey Puzzle went above and beyond to make her happy and comfortable. The whole team are so kind, caring, fun-loving, enthusiastic and very creative with the activities they come up with for the children. My mind is totally at ease about her welfare when she is there, and the strong bond she has now formed with the staff is so wonderful to see and credited to the wonderful work they do. We are sadly leaving the area and so have to find a new nursery, and Monkey Puzzle really has set the standard for what we are hoping to find.

Overall, my son really enjoys attending this nursery, and the activities and encouragement from the staff have definitely encouraged his development. I would definitely recommend this nursery to another parent!

My daughter started with Monkey Puzzle Chesham a few weeks ago. I was really worried about how my Covid baby would settle, having had very little contact with others. The first few settles were tough and I was feeling very anxious. It’s been three weeks now since she has been attending the nursery full time and she has settled so much quicker than I expected, which I believe is a testament to the team in her room and management. I am so grateful for the way the team worked with me to settle my girl and make things work for us. They have been very flexible and very happy to listen. It’s a weight off my shoulders. It’s lovely to see the updates I get now throughout the day and the wonderful photos showing her enjoying nursery!

Thank you to Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Chesham for making the first few days of my little girls’ nursery journey so calm and easy. She’s had a year of being locked away during Covid-19 but is coming back happy and chatty from nursery which is a pleasure to see!
