My daughter joined last year and has absolutely thrived in her environment with the dedicated care from all of the staff. The staff match her humour and provide a range of fun activities to facilitate creative thinking and exploration.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're delighted to hear how much your daughter has thrived since joining us and how well she's been supported by the team.
It's wonderful to know that her personality shines through and that she's enjoying the creative, exploratory environment we aim to provide. Your kind words mean a great deal to us!
The Little Forest Folk Team
Little forest folk in Wimbledon Village is such a special and unique nursery. Our son started off in a 'conventional' indoor nursery setting and we wish we had transferred him to this forest school setting much sooner. He absolutely loves it and it is so healthy for him to be in the great outdoors rather than cooped up indoors in a small inner city nursery (which also has more germs!). We were initially worried about the Winter months but do not be deterred by the cold! As long as they are sufficiently dressed and layered and their extremities are kept warm, the children are perfectly comfortable and happy. The staff are also extremely knowledgeable and know what to do in more challenging conditions to ensure the warmth, health and safety of the kids.
The staff are really energetic with the children, creative and clearly passionate about nature. We are big fans of the team looking after our son! I also love that many of the staff members are male, as there are not enough male carers
It's lovely to...
Our 2.5 year old daughter had a fantastic time during the summer at the forest school. The team members were very friendly and caring. We were fully impressed by the creativity of the activities they provided. Our daughter was very happy in the morning when knowing that she was going to go to the forest school. We were delighted to see that she was so happy every time when she came back home and told us the stories of what she did during the day. We were very appreciative for all the caring and support from the all the forest school team members.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We're delighted to hear how much your daughter enjoyed her time at Forest School this summer! It's fantastic to know that she looked forward to each day and came home full of stories and excitement about her adventures. We're so pleased that you...
The food variety they are given is excellent and whilst we do not follow a vegan diet at home, we love that he gets it there twice a week. For an energetic and adventive loving boy, LFF is the place to be!
Highly recommend.

Very grateful to all the staff especially one in particular who has welcomed our family and our son to LFF! Incredible at being attentive to our needs, reassured us when we first started. So grateful for everything LFF has done for our child - amazing outdoor experience.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're so glad to hear that you and your son have felt so welcomed into the Little Forest Folk family. It means a lot to know that our team, especially our staff member you mentioned that helped you feel reassured and supported during those early days. We're...
LFF Wimbledon Village is a magical place and I am so pleased my son has been able to experience their wonderful nursery setting within the forest. LFF have shown empathy and support for our son and his speech and language needs and they have given him room to grow and develop so many skills in a nurturing and kind environment. We love seeing the photos and updates as they come through on the app and picking our son up at the end of the day with muddy boots and a smiling face is the best!
Thank you so much for your beautiful words. It means so much to us to hear how supported and happy your son feels at Little Forest Folk Wimbledon Village. Watching him grow, find his voice, and embrace the forest with muddy boots and a big smile is truly one of the greatest joys for our team. We're so grateful to be part of his journey and to have your trust every step of the way!
Management and their team do a fantastic job of looking after our son. They are clearly invested in his well-being and development, always keeping us posted during the day with photos, descriptions of what he did that day, and on a more long-term basis, comments on how he is progressing and his future development areas. Our son naturally likes to be indoors where everything is clean and dry, and Little Forest Folk has been fantastic for his development as he has developed a great appreciation and love for the outdoors. Every day when he comes home he is happy and tells us what a great day he has had.
Thanks so much for leaving us a lovely review! We are so glad to hear that your little one is developing a love for the great outdoors and is getting on so well at Little Forest Folk Wimbledon Village!
My son started at Little Forest Folk Wimbledon Village in September and is really loving it! He is my first child, and this was the first time I had left him alone with someone who was not a family member. I will admit that I was very concerned, but the staff were so welcoming, polite, and reassuring that my concerns rapidly faded. They were incredibly helpful and accepting of my son's tears (more like screaming) upon drop-off in the first few weeks, but they were readily able to quiet him and constantly kept their app updated throughout the day, which calmed me! They give the children a fun-filled day outside and nutritious meals. We both love and highly recommend the experience at LFF Wimbledon Village.
We appreciate you leaving such a kind review & thank you for trusting us with your little one! We are so glad he has settled so well into life in the forest!
Our 2.5-year-old son has been going to Little Forest Folk Wimbledon Village since he turned 2. Initially he was going for 2 days a week but we've increased it to 3 days a week as he absolutely loves it! He's happy to be dropped off in the mornings and is happy at pick-up. His creativity and imagination have also really developed and his vocabulary is advancing well too. I love that there are no screens, and the children spend the majority of their time outdoors. It's obvious the educators pay attention to the children as individuals and provide a nurturing environment for development. I'm so pleased we chose to send our son here rather than a traditional nursery.
Thank you for your lovely review! We are so glad that you are happy with your decision to send your little one to nursery with us & that he is thriving in the forest!
The nursery manager and his team consistently show genuine care and kindness toward my son, always coming up with exciting new adventures for him to enjoy. After each day, he's always really positive about his experience and they bring the outdoor fun regardless of the weather. Their thoughtful approach brings fresh activities that have been instrumental in his growth and learning. It's a nurturing environment that truly supports his journey toward independence.
Thank you for your lovely review! We are so glad your little one is enjoying his adventures with us in the forest!
Little Forest Folk Wimbledon Village is the nursery we always hoped would exist! It's such a wonderful feeling to know that our daughter is outside in the fresh air, looked after by incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and playful staff and being encouraged to roam and explore the natural world. My initial worry about the children being exposed to the wet and the cold has completely been removed. The set-up ensures the children stay warm and dry but the staff are also incredibly reasonable. If the rain is set in, they head inside to their lovely space. Everything about this nursery experience has been outstanding. The admin communication feels very personal but is also highly efficient, the app integration is great, payments are simple and transparent and the updates throughout the day are consistent and helpful. I cannot recommend this setting highly enough and I sincerely hope that all children return from their nursery days as buoyant, content and engaged as my daughter does.
What a lovely review, thank you for your kind words! We are so glad to hear your little one is thriving with us at Forest School!
This is our second go-round at Little Forest Folk and we couldn't be happier. The staff are so caring, they are truly child-led. My kids could not be more different from one another, and both of them have been extremely happy there. They love being outside, they love the variety of activities and they've both made some really lovely friends. It's magical!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled that both of your little ones have had such magical but unique experiences in the forest!
Our son absolutely loves Forest School and the team at Wimbledon Village. We’ve been so impressed with how the Forest School is run and how creative the team are with play and learning. We’ve noticed our son now loves imaginative play, is very courageous and explorative and as the groups are mixed ages his confidence in speaking and playing with older children is really good. We highly recommend it.
Thank you for your review - we're so glad to hear that your little one is getting on so well with us in the great outdoors! We'll be sure to pass your kind words along to the team!

Meet the Team (3)
With over 11 years of experience working in early years, Jamie became interested in forest schools through a college placement, and it is because of this that he has followed this path to where he is today. With previous experience of being Deputy Manager in a Forest School, his love for the great outdoors stemmed from growing up living near Kingston Gate of Richmond Park, with many fond memories of exploring the wilderness it has to offer (Penponds and Isabella Plantation being his favourites!)
Since moving to Worcester Park, he has discovered the natural beauty of the Hogsmill Nature Reserve and enjoys regular walks here with his fiancé and daughters. Jamie has a real passion for early years and believes the great outdoors is imperative to children's development.
Paula is passionate about education and has spent the last 18 years in the primary sector. Whilst this has been a wonderful experience, she believes it does not always allow the time and space for children to naturally interact with the outside world. Paula believes that allowing children to take the lead in key areas of their learning helps them to foster independence, encourages them to explore their interests and offers children a unique, hands-on experience that fosters curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection with their environment. Paula is very excited to join the Little Forest Folk Team so that she can plan for lessons that naturally fit into the outdoor environment, encourage projects that require children to observe, interact with, and learn from their environment, and teach children about the cycles of nature and the different flora and fauna they encounter throughout the year.
Paula loves the outdoors and, because she doesn't have a garden of her own, spends a lot of her free time at her allotment, growing a wide array of flowers, fruits and vegetables. Paula especially loves the sound of the wind through the trees and finds being in a woodland a very calming experience - something she feels is especially important for children and adults, in an increasingly digital world. When she is not on her allotment, Paula loves to read, take short breaks to explore the world and go for long walks among the Surrey Hills.
Sam has worked in 3 different styles of forest school’s over the last 8 years. He is keen on exploring new ways to support children's learning in new environments. Sam has studied practical habitat management at Merrist Wood Agricultural College in Guildford, Surrey. He also has his Forest School Leader, level 3 from the Surrey Wildlife Trust and a level 3 in Children and Young People's Work Force. Sam’s hobbies include going to music festivals, repairing and driving old British cars and cycling.
