Miranda is the nursery manager at Twickenham and has been with Little Forest Folk for 4+ years, across various roles and nurseries.
Miranda is a Montessori trained teacher who loves working with the early years ages, especially in the outdoors. She has worked in day nurseries, private nurseries, as a tutor, as a nanny and she has also worked and travelled extensively abroad over the years.
Miranda loves walking and has conquered several coast lines and ancient walls, she loves creating and getting messy, she has climbed a few mountains, and has an allotment in her back garden. Miranda thoroughly enjoys exploring, learning and accompanying a child on their adventurous investigation of life.
Harriet has loved the outdoors for as long as she can remember, and is passionate about helping children explore, learn, and grow in nature. Harriet is forest school trained and shares in Little Forest Folk’s values of curiosity, resilience, and respect for the world around us. Over the years, Harriet has worked at LFF Morden and Fulham, and has helped on other sites, gaining a wide range of experience. Harriet spent three years working away from Little Forest Folk but chose to come back because she truly believes in the unique approach and community at LFF.
Harriet has always believed in the saying, “When life gives you rain, play in the puddles,” because every moment outdoors is an opportunity to discover, create, and have fun. Whether it’s building dens, discovering mini-beasts, or enjoying quiet moments under the trees, she strives to create a safe, nurturing space where every child’s unique spark can shine. Outside of work, Harriet enjoys walking, skiing, and paddleboarding, and she also volunteers with the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry — an experience that strengthens her skills in safety, teamwork, and problem-solving while serving the community.
Emer is passionate about delivering high-quality outdoor learning experiences to little people. Her love helped her obtain a first-class honours degree in the Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Education and Training awarded by Dublin City University.
Emer loves to motivate and create fun and thriving learning opportunities. She feels that creating a safe environment, helps children to explore and be active in their learning. She believes that children learn best in the great outdoors, and she hopes to help our Little Forest Folk-ers thrive.
