Little Forest Folk Twickenham

Lovely staff, great setting, happy kids. My son had a blast there this year. Sad to be moving to big school! The staff was great to help him settle and supporting me when drop off was hard. The outdoor environment is very freeing for the kids and allows for soooo much messy play which they love. Miranda and the team are very lovely. Thoroughly recommend it to anybody looking for something different for their little ones.

We couldn't recommend LFF Twickenham more. We moved our son from a more traditional nursery setting after moving to Twickenham and the change in him is amazing. He is a boy who loves being outside so the set up is perfect but LFF goes beyond just being an outside setting, he has thrived in the care of the staff which appears to be firm but fair approach based on imagination, trust and kindness. He has come on leads and bounds with potty training, independence and settled almost immediately (he cried going into his other nursery but actively asks to go here). We can't wait to send our second child, it feels like a really special place for families. Other stand out features for us are the communication methods, the healthy food, the focus on education even from 2, the list goes on..! We love LFF!

We found this nursery as we were keen for our active child to enjoy a forest school setting with plenty of outdoor learning during these precious years before starting school. We were very impressed from the morning of our first tour and found the staff to be incredibly knowledgeable and calm, caring and thoughtfully supportive with all the children. The staff to child ratio is great and they always bring plenty of new ideas and energy to every day, with weekly themed learning experiences. Whenever we had a question it was answered quickly and office staff have all been friendly and easy to deal with. Our child has had a wonderful time here.

Our daughter, Millie, has been with Little Forest Folk since she was two and half. She has loved being there and it is wonderful to see the photos of her having so much fun. She has developed a great sense of adventure and independence with the support of the staff there.

The staff have been brilliant and, on a personal level, I have so very much appreciated it when they've come out to help encourage Millie into the setting when I've been struggling to get her appropriately dressed in the car park. A special call out to Miranda whose name is guaranteed to perk Millie up from her occasional funk.

I would absolutely recommend the setting to everyone.

Our son absolutely loved his time at the forest. It really is a magical place where children have the freedom to play, explore nature and grow into lovely children. Our little boy spent over 2 years here in Twickenham, he has loved and been supported by the staff, especially Miranda and Denisa, we were very sad to leave and they have felt like family. In the winter time, there is so much care and attention taken to keep children warm and cosy, and advice on clothing, including warm hot chocolate and fire pits on those chilly days to make it more exciting. It has been a privelidge to have been part of this unique forest school. The staff have helped with every aspect from toilet training and eating, I have felt supported and also welcome by the staff, and the communication with the nursery on the app, every day photos has kept me informed from eating to how many times he went to the loo.I wondered how he would manage a classroom,but the social skills, listening, respect he has for others having been taught at forest school, he has flown into class with enthusiasm and courage thanks to the forest and teachers.We Will be back on holidays!

Our son had the most magical time at Little Forest Folk over the past year. From his very first day, he thrived in the forest school environment - exploring, learning, and coming home full of stories and muddy boots! As a parent, all you really want is to feel completely at ease when you drop your little one off each morning, and Miranda and her wonderful team delivered this and so much more. Their warmth, care, and attention made every day feel special and gave us complete confidence that our son was in the best possible hands. The nursery gave him amazing preparation for school, helping him grow in confidence and independence. Miranda is truly exceptional with the children - kind, patient, and full of energy. Little Forest Folk Twickenham was life-changing for our son. He thrived during his 2 years there, keeping active, engaged about the outdoors and the world around him, and made wonderful friends with the children and educators alike. As parents, we were kept up to date with photos, updates and chats at the gate, and had no doubt he was in the best hands. The nursery is incredibly well-managed and all the staff seem highly engaged and enthusiastic. The food also was excellent.

My daughter started at Little Forest Folk Twickenham just a week after turning two and attended for 2.5 years. It was her first and only childcare setting, and she loved it from day one. I've seen her grow both emotionally and physically, and I truly believe that unstructured, imaginative play has been beneficial for her-she often engages in creative play on her own at home. The outdoor setting of this nursery is an incredible way to help children develop a love for nature, no matter the weather. We feel so fortunate to have Little Forest Folk in Twickenham, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Well, what can I say about Little Forest Folk Twickenham? Since starting my elder son at the nursery in 2022, our values, in terms of how we choose to educate our children, have transformed. A truly child-led environment where every child is understood and known. They have had the freedom to grow and experience themselves as part of the community in nature. They are spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally stimulated in the outdoor setting and learning as such takes on a new meaning. We have chosen to continue educating our three children in this manner as we have seen how being outdoors, guided by supportive adults, fosters self-motivation, good health and academics later down the line. Special thanks to the Nursery manager, who is an expert in the field. Under her careful leadership, all staff have come to know my children as individuals, becoming key figures in their early years. The fruits of their hard work will extend far beyond their early years. Thank you!

I have only wonderful things to say about Little Forest Folk Twickenham. Two of my children went there and they absolutely flourished both physically and emotionally whilst they were there. It is a wonderfully serene outdoor space where the kids can let off some steam and also let their imaginations flow under the care of the patient and energetic educators. We loved that all ages of children mix together and found that it really helped our kids development both when they were the smallest and could learn off others and when they were the biggest and could use their ability to emphasise, something they had learnt so well at Little Forest Folk Twickenham and take on more of a caring role. We loved that the educators make such an effort to get to know each child's passion and interests rather than a one size fits all approach to activity based learning. We would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Little Forest Folk Twickenham is a brilliant setting which my son attended from the age of 3. He attended part-time (2 days a week) and was at an indoor nursery for 2 days, and honestly, it can't compare. He preferred the staff, the room for imagination, the outdoor openness and he also made much closer friends in the forest. If we would do it again, we would have put him in full-time. It is how childhood should be.

The staff are very kind, friendly and attentive. They are very passionate about the nursery's ethos and create the most wonderful place for the children to learn, play and thrive. The outdoor setting is fantastic for learning and open-ended play. My son's imagination has come to life since attending the forest. We will be very sad when my son has to leave!

We absolutely love Little Forest Folk Twickenham. It's a wonderful mix of a peaceful outdoor space with brilliant educators who bring such energy and patience to the forest. We have noticed such a difference in our son's confidence, ability to empathise with other children and language ability since joining Little Forest Folk from another nursery that was predominantly inside with segregated rooms by age group. We couldn't be happier with the nursery and would recommend to anyone.

My little one loves nature and being outdoors and so Little Forest Folk is a dream for her. The opportunity to explore and learn organically under the care of some lovely educators is essential for children in the early years and I feel this nursery definitely does that. The staff are caring and attentive and I love the daily snaps and updates on how she's doing. Definitely recommend.

We have direct experience as parents at three other local nurseries, and we can confidently say LFF Twickenham is in a different league!

Our older daughter attended Little Forest Folk Twickenham and our younger one still does. It is a small nursery and there is little staff rotation, so the staff really get to know very well the children. The staff is amazing, highly motivated and go above and beyond to provide the best care for the children. Children are encouraged to be curious, and independent and to respect and love nature. We could not have asked more for the EYFS education for our daughters. Thank you very much to all of the Little Forest Folk team!

Little Forest Folk is an incredible setting for children from 2 years. We moved our son there in September after he turned 3 and he has loved it. The children are outdoors all day, wrapped up in winter and in shorts and t-shirts in summer. Their philosophy is based on open-ended play and being in nature. I was nervous about the set-up at first but have seen our son’s confidence, resilience and imagination bloom since he joined.
