YMCA Merstham Hub Pre-school

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Merstham's YMCA preschool. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly warm, caring, and supportive, creating a safe and nurturing environment where our daughter has truly thrived. The team has gone above and beyond to help make our daughter feel valued and it's been wonderful to see how much she has grown socially and emotionally. The activities are engaging, creative, and well planned, encouraging curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. Communication with parents has always been excellent, and it's clear that the staff genuinely care about every child's wellbeing and development. We always feel informed and reassured that our daughter is happy and well looked after whilst in their care. We are so grateful for everything the preschool has done for our family and would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a caring, friendly, and inspiring early years setting.

They do brilliant work every day, and we're greatful our child had the opportunity to spend his pre-school years there. Wishing the YMCA every success for the future in helping other children develop in the way they've helped mine to.

We are extremely happy with the nursery and with the care our child receives. The staff are kind, attentive and supportive, and it is clear that they genuinely care about the children. Our child is happy to attend, feels settled and secure, and we can see how much they are learning and developing. They often come home with new knowledge, skills and confidence, which is wonderful to see. Communication with parents is also very good, and we always feel well informed. We are very grateful to the whole team for creating such a warm, caring and positive environment.

A great team of staff well communicated with me and updates on lilahs day in the app lilah knows every staff member name and will be sad to leave this year a great nursery if i lived in the area I would keep lilah there.kayleigh has been lilahs staff member and she is always saying I will show kayleigh she loves the outside space as well as painting and learning alot would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a great nursery team.

The staff at this nursery have been consistently lovely, warm, and genuinely committed to the children in their care. From our very first day, it was clear that this is a setting built on strong values, teamwork, and a real sense of community. Communication has always been excellent, with staff keeping us well-informed about the boys' progress, their daily activities, and any important updates. This openness and reliability made us feel confident and reassured throughout our time here.

Although we are now preparing to leave, we do so with a great deal of gratitude. The boys have been incredibly happy at this nursery, and they often came out at the end of the day with big smiles on their faces. They were excited to go in each morning, which speaks volumes about the relationships they built and the care they received. It has been wonderful to watch them grow, learn, and gain confidence in such a positive environment. Your hard work and kindness have meant a great deal to our family.

They always have so many fun activities on like when the reptiles came in and the baby chick's. It really makes this pre school so special.

My children have attended YMCA for around a year and a half and they absolutely love it. The staff at YMCA are beyond amazing. I have them to thank for improving their speech greatly as well as motor skills. They have learnt so much being there, from letters, colours, shapes, numbers, writing their name, cooking, the list goes on. My children come home so happy everyday and always tell me about their adventures at nursery. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you again for making my twins so happy :-)

My daughter absolutely adores this pre school and so do I, I find the staff so lovely and friendly. They do so much fun things and have really taught my daughter a lot, I would highly recommend this pre school.

It'll be very sad when our children have to leave and move on!

YMCA Merstham Hub Pre-school has been the perfect start to my son's education. The staff are brilliant, attentive and kind. We're so happy with how our son is developing and growing in confidence, and there's no doubt that the preschool has played a big part in this!

My daughter settled in so well when she started thanks to the lovely ladies at the pre-school. She is flourishing since and I never had any concerns. I honestly can't even think of anything they could do better. All staff are very friendly and supportive, really couldn't ask for more. Huge thank you to the manager, deputy manager and all the ladies for their brilliant job.

The way the staff helps my son to improve day-to-day tasks is fantastic and I can see lots of good changes in him. Thank you!

My daughter started in September 2024, and settled so well as she was very well supported by staff! As her first time going into a setting, the staff supported us as parents and communicated with us and gave regular updates over the weeks! My daughter loves it at preschool and is very settled.

I'm very happy with this nursery and so is my daughter she has improved with her communication, vocabulary and socialising. The staff are very kind and friendly. I would recommend it.

My child and I were always greeted with a warm smile and made to feel welcome. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, answering all of my questions and providing great advice on my child's development. The variety of activities available was impressive. The staff took excellent care of my child and were always available to answer any questions I had. The nursery also offered a wide range of educational tools and supplies, making it a great place for my child to learn and grow. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for high-quality care and excellent service.

Excellent Pre School children are really looked after from ice creams when it is hot to pizza and garlic bread when it’s cold. A range of educational experiences including, chicks hatching at Easter was lovely going in as a parent to see the chicks. The management team are brilliant managers, as well as all the pre-school members, who are always happy and easy to talk to at handover. The team are caring and compassionate and really do go that extra mile. Highly recommended.

I’m so glad I chose YMCA Merstham Hub Pre-School for my children. They have had a great time at YMCA. I’m so grateful for having them in our children's lives. They were caring, kind and considerate to all of our needs. Amazing team that understand and don’t judge. Thank you all so much once again!

My daughter has just finished two and a half wonderful years at the YMCA Merstham Hub Pre-School. She skipped in every morning and was always greeted with a smile from every team member. Their use of the online learning journal meant that I could see pictures at least weekly of the activities she was doing, the friends she was playing with and the teachers she loved spending time with. It is a wonderful pre-school and has prepared her to take her next steps with confidence!
