Purple Lion Day Nurseries (Buckhurst Hill)

We have been incredibly impressed with the Nursery since our child started in October 2024. There is a great energy which runs throughout the nursery, and all members of staff are very caring and engaged. Our toddler has settled quickly and is happy to go to nursery each time.

Great facilities, great staff, and a great environment. From the support with learning to the extracurricular activities, there is great attention to detail. Our son really loves attending and we appreciate everything you all do.

My daughter has been attending Purple Lion Nursery since she was 1 and almost 2 and half years later I cannot fault it. The staff are kind, generous and thoughtful. We recently attended the nursery’s Christmas party; the children performed songs and there were lots of Christmas crafts to take part in after. Our daughter is wonderfully happy and thriving under their care.

We joined Purple Lion Day Nurseries (Buckhurst Hill) a couple of months ago and I can see how my little one is changing every day. He is getting involved in multiple types of activities which helps him grow, learn and develop in a wonderful way. The weekly updates are a great tool to demonstrate this and the love and care from the staff is absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for your great work!

Excellent establishment with caring and friendly staff. My son has been there for 3 years and he loves the school and his teachers! The staff are working with each child and focusing on their development, and learning but most importantly on the child's independence and readiness for the future!

We truly appreciated the care we received from the Buckhurst Hill Purple Lions team. From the very first day, they greeted us with warmth and care. We appreciated the updates each day when we picked up our daughter from the baby room and enjoyed seeing photos on the mobile app. The staff were so lovely with our baby, and we felt comfortable handing her over each day, and excited to pick her up and see her and the art projects she brought home. She developed so much during her time there, and we know it was in part due to the modelling and input from the staff, as well as interaction with the other children there. It really was such a welcoming, warm, and positive experience.

I am extremely happy about my daughter's development and care. I can always check her profile and see her daily routine and I feel very secure that I can call anytime and ask about how she is. I trust the staff that is always friendly and smiley and always looking after my daughter. When I pick her up she is always happy and I can see she enjoys nursery. I feel secure to go to work and leave my daughter in excellent care.

I will recommend the nursery to every parent who wants flexible days for their kids.

This was the best choice for my son!

My daughter started nursery in January and she was very shy and not used to being away from me. The settlement took a very long time and I appreciate the love, attention and patience the teachers gave her from the beginning. 3 months in and she loves going to nursery, she made lots of friends and I'm very happy with her progress so far. My daughter loves that they play outside a lot when the weather allows it, she really enjoys the food and all the activities they have. I'm very pleased with my choice of nursery for her.

There is high competition in the area. My son is very active and vocal, he needs to burn a lot of energy and remain engaged. He has been treated amazingly at Purple Lion! I couldn't be happier with my choice! The ladies who look after him are kind and compassionate and always have a smile on their faces. The best!

I want to express my sincere gratitude for all the efforts that the teachers have put into helping my son grow over the years. Thank you for all the great activities planned by the teachers and for getting him to engage with his peers as well as helping him to develop the skills required for him to learn. It has been wonderful to see him so excited in the mornings to go to nursery and come home just as excited to share his day with me. I would like to say a big thank you to all the teachers for providing a safe environment for my son to be around. My son has grown to become so independent, and more willing to try and do things for himself, and everything he does I know he learned from his teacher. I am very appreciative of all the teachers and for their support towards my son.

My son started the nursery at the beginning of the month and has really settled in. The staff are very polite and they take the child’s needs into consideration. They have and continue to give me daily feedback and how he is doing, what he ate, and his overall interaction with the other children.

The safety and welfare of the children are the top priority of the whole team and staff goes beyond to make sure that children are looked after at all times.

The nursery as a whole is impeccable and has a warm welcoming feeling. The meals prepared are healthy and everything is clean.

My little one started at the setting a few months ago. We could not be happier with the way she settled and how she managed to grow in such a short time. Staff are lovely and very attentive not only to my child needs but also to us as parents. She became more independent, more vocal and less clingy with us! We always get daily and weekly updates from staff and management team about my child day in nursery through the app, this reassures us that she is safe, happy during the day. I am happy to say that we made the right choice to start with Purple Lion Day Nurseries, I cannot recommend it enough.

My daughter and 17 months old have been going to Purple Lion since the beginning of October. My little girl has excelled in all areas, she absolutely loves going to nursery (she can’t wait for a Monday) talks about her teachers all the time and knows them by name. My little boy has settled in incredibly well, happily goes to his teacher when being dropped off in the mornings. I especially enjoy the updates that I receive from the nursery on the famly app, showing what they do every day and how they are interacting with the activity. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The nursery teachers and staff are amazing and incredibly caring! I feel at ease knowing that my children are looked after really well when I’m at work. This is a fantastic nursery. My daughter has been attending since she was two years old and her speech and confidence has grown. She has made a lot of friends and has a good relationship with the teachers. They learn something new every day and I love that they play outside in the fresh air every day which I think is extremely important
