Little Vines at Marlborough House Vinehall School, the children are nurtured in a welcoming family atmosphere.

The Early Years of a child’s education are crucial to their future development, enjoyment and achievement. Marlborough House Vinehall provide high quality early learning through play in a happy, fun and caring environment. The youngest children are cared for in a vibrant, family environment and participate joyfully in whole school activities and celebrations.

The children are accommodated in the purpose-built Pre-Prep School which benefits from a hall for dance, music and gym activities as well as a library and art area. The Nursery opens out on to a large, safe outdoor play area for the youngest children. This area has imaginative and investigation zones as well as a woodland exploratory area with dens and logs for climbing over. Wellington boots and waterproofs are essential!

The nursery works closely with families and has excellent communication links with parents. Throughout the Early Years, the nursery bases the learning and play activities on the children’s existing stage of development and personal interests, providing stimulating experiences for every individual.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Having worked in school and nursery environments for a number of years before having my own children, I understand how difficult it can be to find the "perfect" setting for your child/children. But Little Vines is by far the best setting I know. All of the staff are fantastic with the children, they
know just how to help them settle in and develop to their full potential. Their equipment and resources are fantastic - always exploring new and exciting things to keep the children engaged.
Our son always leaves with a huge smile on his face, full of excitement to tell us about his day. He has made some lovely friends and has learnt so much. We have seen his confidence grow enormously. The setting has helped us through some tricky times which we are so very grateful for. They really are like our extended family, we couldn't recommend Vinehall School enough.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our little lady loves her time at Little Vines. It’s a superb setting, a lovely warm bright environment for little ones, with plenty of stimulation, play and also quiet time. Outdoor fun whatever the weather, the grounds are amazing. The staff are just wonderful, kind and also supportive, we’ve been
lucky to experience both nursery and kindergarten. We are blessed she has been so nurtured, from the start it has been home away from home, all we could ask for, for our precious girl. Highly recommend in every way.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.973) out of 10 for Little Vines at Marlborough House Vinehall School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.973 for Little Vines at Marlborough House Vinehall School is calculated as follows: ( (256 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 263 Ratings = 4.973
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Vines at Marlborough House Vinehall School is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 number of registered child places is 8, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

A little bit about me:
I have worked within the Early Years sector for over 30 years and believe that every child should have the opportunity to play, learn and have fun. No two days are the same here at Little Vines which always makes the job challenging and keeps me on my toes!

I began my journey training as a Nursery Nurse and have had the opportunity to work in all types of settings, one of which was a Montessori school, where I gained a great deal of experience and knowledge. A little bit about me:
I began my Early Years journey as an apprentice, which gave me a strong foundation and a real appreciation for hands-on learning from the very start. Over the past 10 years, I’ve built on that experience, developing a deep understanding of how children under five learn and grow. I’m committed to continually developing my practice, always looking for ways to learn and improve. I’m passionate about creating a warm, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child feels supported and able to thrive.

Interests outside of Nursery:
Travel, woodland walks and time with family.

I have worked with young children for my whole career, wearing several different hats! Firstly, as a creche manager, riding instructor and children's book illustrator, before moving to be head of a school-based Nursery, where I took great delight in watching many children embark on their learning journey, so much so, that I was there for ten years!

I am absolutely delighted to now be a part of this fantastic, committed, passionate and highly skilled Early Years team at Marlborough House Vinehall's Little Vines.

Outside of work, you will find me in the garden (or the greenhouse) or with my nose in a book. I have a large family of my own and love nothing more than us all being together around the table, sharing special times and making memories.
