Early Years Foundation Degree

I have worked within the Early Years sector for over 30 years and believe that every child should have the opportunity to play, learn and have fun. No two days are the same here at Little Vines which always makes the job challenging and keeps me on my toes!

I began my journey training as a Nursery Nurse and have had the opportunity to work in all types of settings, one of which was a Montessori school, where I gained a great deal of experience and knowledge. I am extremely proud to be the Head of Little Vines Nursery and Kindergarten here at Vinehall School and be supported by such nurturing, experienced, passionate and fun Early Years Practitioners.

I began my Early Years journey as an apprentice, which gave me a strong foundation and a real appreciation for hands-on learning from the very start. Over the past 10 years, I’ve built on that experience, developing a deep understanding of how children under five learn and grow. I’m committed to continually developing my practice, always looking for ways to learn and improve. I’m passionate about creating a warm, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child feels supported and able to thrive.

I have worked with young children for my whole career, wearing several different hats! Firstly, as a creche manager, riding instructor and children's book illustrator, before moving to be head of a school-based Nursery, where I took great delight in watching many children embark on their learning journey, so much so, that I was there for ten years!

I am absolutely delighted to now be a part of this fantastic, committed, passionate and highly skilled Early Years team at Marlborough House Vinehall's Little Vines.

Outside of work, you will find me in the garden (or the greenhouse) or with my nose in a book. I have a large family of my own and love nothing more than us all being together around the table, sharing special times and making memories.

I have been part of the Little Vines Team for many wonderful years now. Back in 2010, I started my journey as an apprentice and voluntary co-play group leader. In 2017, I became a Professional Early Years Practitioner and proudly started a full-time position at the Nursery. I am now working alongside the talented Little Vines Team on a part-time basis, whilst also introducing and continuing to develop fun woodwork activities for the children.
