Little Vines at Marlborough House Vinehall School, the children are nurtured in a welcoming family atmosphere.

The Early Years of a child’s education are crucial to their future development, enjoyment and achievement. Marlborough House Vinehall provide high quality early learning through play in a happy, fun and caring environment. The youngest children are cared for in a vibrant, family environment and participate joyfully in whole school activities and celebrations.

The children are accommodated in the purpose-built Pre-Prep School which benefits from a hall for dance, music and gym activities as well as a library and art area. The Nursery opens out on to a large, safe outdoor play area for the youngest children. This area has imaginative and investigation zones as well as a woodland exploratory area with dens and logs for climbing over. Wellington boots and waterproofs are essential!

The nursery works closely with families and has excellent communication links with parents. Throughout the Early Years, the nursery bases the learning and play activities on the children’s existing stage of development and personal interests, providing stimulating experiences for every individual.

Little Vines Nursery, Vinehall School is a wonderful place for little minds to blossom. The staff are keen to tailor each child’s experience to their preferred interests, which keeps them engaged and enthused during their time. The nursery is situated in the most spectacular setting which has proved
an invaluable resource during the last year, enabling the children to escape the classroom and feel a sense of freedom once again while remaining safe. We love everything about it.

We sent our son to Little Vines after looking at several other nurseries in the area, it was the clear favourite!
We loved the outdoor approach to play/learning which really suits our son, the teachers are all incredibly caring and nurturing and take the time to understand each child as an individual
and what works for them.
Our son bounces into school every day, it is a very happy environment that I would highly recommend.

Little Vines Nursery, Vinehall School really is in a league of its own compared to other nurseries we visited and have used in the area. After moving our daughter there when she was three, we couldn’t wait for our son to start as soon as he was old enough to! The surroundings and classroom are lovely
environments for the children to learn and develop in and you couldn’t ask for better care from the manager and her team! It is like a home from home. We are extremely pleased we found the nursery and feel very lucky that we have Little Vines Nursery, Vinehall School close enough to us to send our children there. You will not be disappointed!

Our son's nursery life has been so lovely.
He started at 2 years old and loved it immediately. He's now in his final year at kindergarten and has blossomed into a lovely young man who absorbs things like a sponge. The nursery staff are incredible and I wish I could take them with us for every school
year!

The staff and school have been really supportive during these strange times. The setting has worked really well being able to be in bubbles as each room has its own dedicated outside space and different entrances. As always the staff are brilliant, encouraging and proactive. The atmosphere is caring
and all the children seem happy. My daughter loves her time there.

The Little Vines kindergarten is an extremely supportive place for my son. The staff are friendly, very kind, engaging and take time to make sure all the children are involved and happy. I chose the kindergarten because I wanted my son to be exposed to new things and learn new things about the world
around him. (Simply adding a breadth of things for him to do). What Little Vines isn't is a pressured environment; they learn by doing, making and having lots of fun - which suits my son, and I am sure all children aged 3-4. An upshot of this approach is that I am glad to say that his language, understanding of the world and others around him have improved hugely since he has been at Little Vines, something noticed by all those who know him. I would highly recommend the nursery and kindergarten to all parents thinking of sending their child there, its a pretty wonderful place.

My son has been at Little Vines Nursery since September 2018, and his sister was there before him. We are very pleased with our experience there. The staff are excellent, offering a good blend of play and learning within a really great environment. We particularly like the outdoor play and experiences
that the children enjoy, and the extra-curricular clubs available - my son loves cricket coaching after school one day a week. We will be sending our third child there in due course!

A wonderful setting where both my children have arrived racing to get in and refused to leave at the end of the day. The experienced staff always talk to the children and at the children’s eye level. They have the perfect balance between play and learning and the children know and love adhering to the
boundaries. I could not ask for a more caring and safe environment to nurture my children!

We are so pleased we picked Little Vines Nursery for our son, he has settled in so well over the past few months and is always excited to go in and see his friends and teachers and discover what exciting things he’ll be doing that day. The nursery is in a wonderful setting, with beautiful grounds to
be explored and fantastic outdoor play space and a welcoming bright indoor space with plenty to keep inquisitive minds busy. The teachers are wonderful and encouraging and provide a warm and nurturing environment for the children to develop and gain independence in and we feel delighted for our son to attend and are always excited to hear the stories of what he has been up to that day.

Little Vines Nursery offers a caring, nurturing and stimulating environment for little ones to grow, explore, learn and have fun! I cannot fault it and of all the other nurseries I saw before enrolling my daughter, Little Vines was heads and shoulders above the rest. It was the only nursery that I immediately
walked into and felt, this is the 'one' and it continued to be the 'one' for over two years for my daughter who has now moved across the corridor into reception. This proximity also made it a very easy transition.

We have only just joined, however, I'm already delighted with Little Vines Nursery. My daughter comes home with a big smile on her face and with a multitude of stories to recount. Both the staff and the facilities are everything and more than you could ever wish for.

Very nice atmosphere with great staff. The structure and inclusion within the school really assist in creating a whole school ethos.

The children are confident and polite with opportunities to explore the world around them through play and learning.

My daughter loves ‘school days’ and adores

her uniform.

Dining properly is a real bonus plus the grounds they get to explore (supervised of course) is a real highlight.

What can I say? Truly excellent in every way. Both of my daughters attended Little Vines Nursery and absolutely loved it. The staff go above and beyond to look after your children. I never had to experience the tears at drop off with either of them and that says it all really, they both absolutely
loved going and almost didn’t want to come home! What more could you want as a parent - a happy contented child who’s first experiences of school are happy and positive. Little Vines Nursery fulfils this in every way from the absolutely amazing and caring staff, the beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities to the wonderful and varied activities the children get to do. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. A fabulous nursery.

I can't recommend Little Vines Nursery enough. I have had three children there over the past few years and currently have two in Nursery and Kindergarten. The care they receive and the range of experiences they have are incredible. The facilities are better than any of the other nurseries I looked at
and the outdoor provision is really excellent. Mine enjoy gym, ballet, forest school and music and they're not even there full-time!

Our 3 and a half-year-old daughter has been one year at nursery and since September at kindergarten. We cannot speak highly enough about both. The teachers are amazing, up until this age, I would not leave my daughter with anyone else including friends and family, that is the confidence I have in both
teachers. The environment is lovely. Teachers have gone the extra mile to help me as a mum settle in with school.
Other schools do not come close.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.973) out of 10 for Little Vines at Marlborough House Vinehall School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.973 for Little Vines at Marlborough House Vinehall School is calculated as follows: ( (256 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 263 Ratings = 4.973
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Vines at Marlborough House Vinehall School is based on 22 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 number of registered child places is 8, which has been reached with 22 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have worked with young children for my whole career, wearing several different hats! Firstly, as a creche manager, riding instructor and children's book illustrator, before moving to be head of a school-based Nursery, where I took great delight in watching many children embark on their learning journey, so much so, that I was there for ten years!

I am absolutely delighted to now be a part of this fantastic, committed, passionate and highly skilled Early Years team at Marlborough House Vinehall's Little Vines.

Outside of work, you will find me in the garden (or the greenhouse) or with my nose in a book. I have a large family of my own and love nothing more than us all being together around the table, sharing special times and making memories.
