A wonderful nursery!
Blossoms on the Common is a fantastic nursery. The staff are caring, attentive and genuinely passionate about what they do, creating a safe, nurturing and fun environment for the children. The setting is welcoming and well organised, with plenty of engaging activities that support
learning and development. It's very reassuring as a parent to know your child is so well looked after. Highly recommended.

My son started in September 2025 and has progressed soo much during his time at Blossoms. It amazes us how his learning and skills have transferred into home life and his confidence is building in outside activities and when socialising with others. The nursery girls have all been fantastic and so nurturing
- my little boy loves them! The nursery is really maintained and the rooms are lovely and clean and appear fit for purpose and the ages of the children.

My daughter has been attending since January 2024 and she loves going to 'nursery'. She has had great bonds with her key workers and other staff members. My daughter was quite shy, but they have helped build her with confidence and she is learning lots. She loves attending rhythm time. Staff are welcoming,
and will play hairdressers with my daughter and make her hair look pretty. My other daughter will be starting this nursery in September 2026.

Really great place for our daughter who attends. The staff are really lovely and encouraging. She always has the best days at Blossoms and she loves the activities. Her social skills have really developed since attending and she always eats and sleeps well there. Would recommend Blossoms to anyone!

Our firstborn has been going to Blossoms on the Common Day Nursery since he was 7 months old and he is just finishing his last term in sunflowers before going to reception - they have only ever supported, developed his growth and encouraged him in every single way. He has established good relationships
and is a delight to be around. Staff are always supportive and encouraging of children and do become like part of the family, communication is always top-tier. The staff always go above and beyond and we love the family days that they organise to celebrate our children, we have just enrolled our second child from the age of 7 months to help with development - we really wouldn't choose anywhere else for our children and always recommend them to people looking for a caring nursery.

Blossoms on the Common Day Nursery has made my daughter's transition to nursery nothing short of a dream. I was so anxious about returning to work and sending my daughter to nursery two days a week but they have been simply amazing. They have clearly invested time to create a wonderful relationship
with her as she smiles from ear to ear every morning when she sees the girls at drop-off. They do lots of activities, send regular updates and pictures which provides such reassurance - especially in the first couple of weeks. They also regularly go out to the park and to see the horses nearby and I have huge trust and belief that my daughter's life is enriched by being there. She's been given the freedom to explore, build relationships, explore new foods and tastes, making me much more confident at home and establishing a new routine. I now feel so at ease taking her knowing she is so well looked after and having the best time. I simply can't put my thanks into words!

Couldn’t be happier with our experience of Blossoms on the Common Day Nursery. Our daughter has been there coming up to a year, starting in Seedlings and moving up to Sweet Peas more recently. The team go over and above to support the development of the children with fun, interesting activities. Lovely
touches as well, such as photos of family in the room etc., and the rooms themselves are lovely and homely. Our daughter can be shy going to others but has always been happy going into Blossoms and to her key worker which really puts my mind at ease. Not a bad word to say.

Absolutely the best nursery I viewed. All the staff are so lovely, kind and supportive. The children’s welfare is paramount. The nursery setting is like home from home it’s so comforting for the children and loads of activities to do! Very pleased with my son’s time there and he loves the home-cooked
food. 10/10.

My son has been attending Blossoms for a month now, he only does 2 days but has come on leaps and bounds. He is such a special little boy with a rare birth defect that he doesn’t let define him. The staff at Blossoms are so loving and encouraging towards him, he is so happy there that when I pick him
up he frowns at me! Blossoms is such an amazing nursery, I would recommend it to anyone.

My son has been attending Blossoms since September this year and, ever since day 1, we have felt that our son is in such safe hands. The staff have been incredible at ensuring my son settled in well and, when he did become unsettled, they would update me on how he was throughout the day. He has such
a wonderful relationship with his key workers and it’s lovely dropping him off with a smile on his face. Blossoms apply the curiosity approach and it is something that my son loves - he has even begun exploring more at home! Blossoms use an app that allows quick communication to happen. It is wonderful to see how much he has slept and eaten. I always look forward to seeing photos and videos of my son at nursery. It’s such a relieving feeling to be able to drop my son off at nursery knowing he’s happy, safe and well looked after whilst I work. I would highly recommend Blossoms to anyone looking for a nursery - I already have been recommending it!

Lovely nursery, the staff are kind and caring, and the setting is calm and homely. My daughter loves going in the morning, and they have supported her transition to nursery life beautifully. I cannot speak more highly of the sunflowers room and their play-led approach to preschool learning; they somehow
manage to incorporate learning whilst allowing the children to play and explore naturally, and it works wonderfully.

The Blossoms nursery, especially the Seedlings room, has been wonderful in helping my daughter develop socially and in helping her develop her confidence in trying new things. They keep consistent communication when it comes to her well-being and when they take her on field trips.
To anyone considering
Blossoms as their nursery, it is the safest and best choice to make.

My child has been attending for over a year now and he loves it! He moved from seedlings into sweet peas in June and the transition has been so smooth! He has loved his key person in both rooms and has built incredible bonds with them both. The first thing he does when he goes in is look for them to
have a cuddle. He has lots of fun and eats well! We can see such a big difference in his development. We speak a different language at home and the nursery encourages this and uses Alexa to help him. The app is really good at keeping us updated with his daily activities.

I can’t speak highly enough of Blossoms on the Common Day Nursery. Our little boy thrived under their care and our little girl is now following in his footsteps and absolutely loves her nursery days. The support they have given to our family at quite a tough time has been so very appreciated. Thank

My son has been attending Blossoms since September and we honestly couldn't be happier with how amazing the nursery is!
My son was very nervous to start due to having a bad experience at a previous nursery, however, after only a week he had settled in and he absolutely loves it! The ladies in the sunflower
room are amazing, they're such kind, caring, and friendly teachers and they have gone above and beyond to help my son feel welcome and settled. He loves his teachers so much and is always excited to see them. The activities are brilliant and he has learnt so much already in the short time he has been there. I'm so happy we chose blossoms and I would recommend it to anyone
Thank you to Blossoms staff, especially Sunflowers for everything you've done to make our son enjoy nursery again.

Blossoms is an excellent nursery. My little boy has just joined this September, and
I can see the progress in his development already! He has so much fun, makes lots of new friends, and certainly eats well. The thought that goes into each activity and each occasion is out of this world; it really
is the best! My little one will be with Blossoms up until he starts school, so he has a long way to go and a lot of fun ahead of him! Exciting times. Thank you, as ever, Blossoms.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.401)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.401) out of 10 for Blossoms on the Common Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.975 for Blossoms on the Common Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (117 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 120 Ratings = 4.975
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.426 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Blossoms on the Common Day Nursery is based on 10 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.75
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 74 number of registered child places is 14.8. 10 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.8 = 0.676
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
