Bright Horizons Leatherhead Day Nursery and Preschool

Our daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Leatherhead from a young age and our eldest son joined when it first opened. The management is fantastic and has completely transformed the nursery from when my son first started. They provide strong leadership, consistency and nurture the children. The staff who care for my daughter are kind, considerate and funny and a significant part of her life. I leave her in their care without a second thought as she's always happy stimulated and wants to stay until close. Not only do they care for my daughter but they also take the time to get to know us as a family. She is being supported to prepare for school this year but it is a sad thought that she and us will be leaving such a fun loving stable environment.

Our son has absolutely thrived at the Bright Horizons Leatherhead nursery - we couldn't be happier. The staff are attentive and caring, and they always give a thorough handover and they've even taken on board the preferences we have communicated. We have also been happy with the clarity of policies and announcements from the management team, and their genuine care for our whole family not only the child who is in their nursery! This has been a wonderfully engaging and supportive setting for our son, who loves the staff, the activities and the food. He has made great friends there and we are so pleased to see that the staff are happy to help the children to use the garden and the forest school and not be put off by the weather! Our son has definitely benefited from being around the adults and children in this setting - he has grown in confidence. We have also benefited from the empathy of staff, the great advice when we have asked questions, and the Bright Horizons webinars too.

All 3 of my children have & currently do attend bright horizons Leatherhead and I could not be happier. From the nurturing settling in sessions they receive, to preparing them for school, BH is amazing! Staff go above & beyond for the children and I particularly love how a day can take any direction depending on the children's interests. The daily pictures & app updates are very informative & lovely to receive. We are always greeted with a smile and welcomed as a whole family..the free coffee service station is a brilliant & thoughtful addition too! We have attended many lovely BH events including the Christmas fair and a wonderful Mother's Day afternoon tea. My children talk so fondly about their friends & teachers here; they feel safe, settled, secure, happy & content, as well as being given the confidence to thrive. The leadership is fantastic, which filters to all staff - overall BH is just a wonderful community to be a part of!

Our time at Bright Horizons Leatherhead has been incredible.

From day one, it's felt like joining a family, not just a nursery. Suzi, Lorraine, Harry, Chloe and the whole team go above and beyond, creating a safe, happy environment where children truly thrive.

What stood out most is their patience and support during key stages like potty training and tricky toddler phases. Suzi and Harry & the nursery team supported us so thoughtfully, using sticker charts, aligning approaches between nursery and home, and helping our son feel secure and understood.

They've played such an important role in his emotional development, helping him regulate feelings and express himself with confidence.

Lorraine & Suzi always brings so much warmth and care. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them and couldn't recommend this nursery more highly, so much so that we are also sending our daughter to the nursery too!

Fantastic staff and environnent. My child loves being at nursery. He has made new friends and loves the time doing activities with thevstaff and other chikdren. He loves the food and everything. Thanm you.

My daughter loves her days at Bright Horizons surrounded my warm and nurturing staff members who constantly come up with creative ways to teach her and keep her busy and happy. She is smiling when I drop her off and smiling when I pick her up which fills me with comfort.

Our son joined Bright Horizons Leatherhead in January 2025, and we've been so impressed with the progress he's made. Since starting, he has shown real development across all his milestones, and it's clear that the nursery provides a nurturing, stimulating environment that supports his growth.

He has built a wonderful relationship with his key workers, who are attentive, caring, and always encouraging. They really take the time to understand him as an individual, and we've noticed such a boost in his confidence and independence.

Most importantly, he's genuinely excited to go in each day, which says everything about how happy and settled he feels there. We're so grateful for the dedication of the whole team and the positive impact they've already had on his early learning journey.

Our son started at Bright Horizons Leatherhead in Jan when he was around 8 months old and it has been absolutely nothing but a pleasure since he first started. The staff are all outstanding and know all the children by name which is wonderful. Plagued with illness for the first six months, as expected. The staff are so understanding and accommodating whilst navigating illnesses, teething, and separation anxiety. We are so pleased we chose to go to BH Leatherhead and would without a doubt recommend to other parents. I leave the building knowing that my son is in good hands, will be cared for, loved, and fed with nutritious meals. He's so happy when I collect him, showing how comfortable and happy he is at the nursery. His development is staggering since joining. Thank you to all the staff and management team - particularly with two members of staff in baby room for their unwaivering support.

My son started Bright Horizons in Leatherhead in April and I can't recommend it enough. He found the initial few weeks a big adaption, but the nursery staff were great with him. He now doesn't even look back when I drop him off (which is great!). The staff are so friendly, know all of the children and it is such a warm and caring environment.

I would really recommend this nursery highly to anyone, my child really enjoys attending nursery and has created special bonds with the staff. I would say that the environment is perfect from them and you can really tell, just from the short time you spend there, that my child is really being looked after well. My child also learns really well here and their development is going amazing too since starting. The staff are really helpful with any concerns I've ever had with anything and help me with anything I need. Overall, I just feel happy and safe to bring them here everyday and I know he feels the same.

My son started nursery at the beginning of September just before his 2nd birthday. We had a couple of teary mornings as expected but he absolutely loves going to nursery. We have the app which allows us to see what he's doing each day, activity wise and food wise which is great. We always have a warm welcome every day and when we go to pick him up, we get a little run down of the day. Couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery. I feel reassured knowing I'm leaving my daughter in such safe hands!

Bright Horizons has potential with its location and facilities, but our experience was disappointing. Constant staffing changes made it hard for my son to form relationships, and he went 4 months without a key person, which is unacceptable for a child's development. Communication was inconsistent, staff said he had a good day, others said he was upset. We also got mixed messages about his eating habits, raising concerns about attention to detail. One upsetting incident during toilet training involved a male staff member who didn't help when my 3-year-old struggled to pull his pants down. As a result, he had an accident, getting urine on his pants and shoes. This avoidable situation made him anxious about using the toilet at nursery, leading to a long-term issue of holding his urine, which we had to work hard to resolve. On another occasion, I found my son crying while the preschool group was told to stay quiet because the toddlers were sleeping. No one followed up with us afterwards.

Our son joined Bright Horizons Nursery at 9 months old and recently completed his time there just before his 4th birthday. Over the three years, we had an exceptional experience. The positive developments in our son's growth were evident, and he absolutely loved his time at the nursery. The nursery manager and her team are outstanding. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure both our son and we felt comfortable and supported. We highly recommend Bright Horizons to any parent looking for a nurturing and professional environment for their child.

The staff is loving and caring and I felt safe and happy to leave my 14-month-old (back then April 2023) with them. What I appreciated highly was the love and the fact that they would comfort him every time he was upset. He was and is always happy to go back and would hug and kiss all the staff not just his key person: this was critical for me, reassuring me this was the right choice for our family. I also appreciate the fact that staff puts real-time updates on the app about his activities in the day, like food, nappies, sleep and play (really helpful to be able to track what he is doing during the day). Another positive: the food and the fact that they have a chef and in-house kitchen is a massive plus! (not many around the area are able to provide this). The nursery also has great facilities, particularly a soundproof room where babies can sleep there. They will be the number one choice for our next baby in the future.

Bright Horizons Leatherhead Day Nursery and Preschool was my top choice for my 1-year-old daughter, she has developed so much since starting the nursery last October and will happily go to the staff within the nursery. The team are very supportive and are happy to listen to any of our feedback about my child.
