Sunflower Seed Preschool and Before and After School Care

Amazing pre-school! I found picking childcare hard, after working in the industry, I felt as if I knew too much and knew exactly what I wanted to see. Sunflower Seed ticked all the boxes. My daughter started attending in July and absolutely loves all the activities! She loves all the staff and you can tell all the staff care about the kids like their own. Always welcomed with a warm friendly smile in the morning and staff are always approachable. They use Tapestry for observations which is lovely to see what they get up to at pre-school! My daughter has medical and dietary issues, the pre-school are really accommodating with food. Great activities and lovely resources and use of the outdoor space. We love Sunflower Seed and all the staff. No better feeling as a mother leaving your child to go to work than knowing they are happy, safe, having fun surrounding by people you trust. Basically a thousand words is not enough to explain how amazing the pre-school really is!

Our daughter has SEN, and the level of care, the ‘we can do that’ attitude and the effort to make her feel cared for and settle in had been second to none. Our older daughter also attended and loved her experience.

They are a fantastic pre-school with very caring staff. My daughter immediately felt content with the staff and other children due to the warm atmosphere and the wonderful staff. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Sunflower Seed is a lovely setting for our three children, both in preschool and after school. The children do lots of great educational activities, and the preschool focuses well on preparing the children for the big school. Our children are so happy to go to Sunflowers and are usually sad to leave at the end of the day! The staff are wonderful, and all work so well with the children.

My son has made lots of lovely friends at Sunflower Seed. He loves his key worker and all the staff, who are fun and loving. His development has really come on in terms of speaking and playing with others. He has been at the preschool for nearly two years.

My 2-year-old son started in September and settled so well. The staff are all so friendly and having tapestry to see his progress is amazing.

My children have been attending the holiday club at Sunflower Seed. They attend a school in a different area so don’t know any children or adults there. The staff have been fantastic in making my children feel welcome and fit it so well. Great variety of activities for them to do throughout the day while there. It’s a lovely atmosphere and very family-friendly.

Both of my children enjoy attending Sunflower Seed for before and after school club, with the youngest having attended pre-school there since the age of 2. All the staff are simply wonderful and the relationships they have with my boys is lovely. It is somewhere they are happy, comfortable and well looked after. The change in management last year has grown the setting even more and the committee does an amazing job. We are looking forward to the start of the exciting new building project.

We all love Sunflower. It is a wonderful setting with lots of activities to engage and challenge the little ones. Our son has made such huge progress since starting Sunflower, he's much more confident, he asks lots of questions and he is supported so well. The ladies are very experienced and we have 100% confidence when we drop him off.

My son started just after he turned 2 and he always has a great time. He looks forward to going every day and comes out beaming and full of stories about his day. All of the staff are wonderful and so helpful. It is clear how much the staff care about the children and providing a high standard of care for the children. My son has developed so much in all areas since he started and they provide lots of opportunities to get the children ready to start school. We are kept fully informed of our child’s development via Tapestry, parents evenings and general chats with staff on a daily basis.

Truly an outstanding setting, always felt that the staff really cared about my children and went the extra mile to provide first-class care. Home away from home. My children love it there and I have peace at heart knowing that they are being well looked after and nurtured.

Our two children six and ten attended holiday club here. The staff are very warm and welcoming and the girls couldn’t wait to get there to see them. The variety of activities inside and out kept them entertained all day and having the option of hot food is great.

My son started at two years old and quickly adapted to the environment, learning lots every day. He loves the mixture of group activities, free-play and organised activities. He has come on so well since starting at Sunflower.

The quality of the care provided by employees who are genuinely passionate about nurturing and developing children is the main reason I cannot recommend Sunflower Seed in Northborough highly enough. Thank you to the manager and her team for their hard work and outstanding commitment to making this setting so welcoming.

I would highly recommend Sunflower Seeds, our daughter has already learnt so much in only a couple of months by attending this preschool and even more importantly my daughter loves it, she asks every morning 'is it open yet' so she can go.

Sunflower Seed is a lovely preschool for my children. Many of the staff have been at the setting for a number of years and provide a home from home environment. They are all so caring and are very knowledgeable about different approaches to preschool learning. My children absolutely love coming here.

The children have access to the school playing areas and orchard, which is a great experience for them. There are also plans for a new building for Sunflower Seed, which will provide an excellent setting for an already wonderful pre-school and after-school club.

My son attended the preschool there and now attends the after school club. He has always been happy there and the staff are always friendly.
