Holly Lodge Nursery

I absolutely love Holly Lodge, there's a great energy there, it's a really special nursery! My son has been there for the last 18 months. Every single staff member is lovely, so friendly, caring, and kind! I know my son is being looked after well, and that he feels loved there! HL have always done what they can to help if I contact them with a question or request! I couldn't be happier with the nursery :)

Our one year old daughter recently started at Holly Lodge and she has been enjoying her days there. The management and staff made her settling in a very natural and relaxed process, which was so amazing as I was so worried about her starting. She is really thriving, it's great to see! Really looking forward to our future at Holly Lodge Nursery.

Our daughter started at Holly Lodge when she turned one and she stayed there for the following 18 months. The only reason we left the nursery was due to moving to a different area. This is a wonderful place, the nursery is situated at the heart of Holly Lodge Estate surrounded by greenery. This is a very small nursery where the staff and kids know each other really well. The staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating, our daughter loved going to the nursery where they taught her valuable skills, songs, and games. Her carers gave her so much love and attention - here is a big shout-out to two staff members, who are simply brilliant. We were extremely satisfied with the rest of the staff as well and would highly recommend the nursery to anyone. This is a very special place, don't miss it! Thank you for everything.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Holly Lodge Nursery. Our son settled in smoothly, thanks to the loving environment provided by the staff. In just eight months, he's blossomed into a confident and sociable little one, forming strong bonds with both his caregivers and friends. He just loves going to the nursery! The support we received in navigating milestones like ditching the dummy and overcoming 'fussy eater' habits was invaluable. The nursery's serene setting, nestled away from traffic amidst nature, provides the perfect backdrop for outdoor play. Holly Lodge has become a second home where our son thrives. We wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent seeking a nurturing and enriching environment for their child.

The senior staff are very knowledgeable and very attentive to all the needs of the children. My daughter is very happy to go there.

My daughter has been at Holly Lodge Nursery since she was 10 months and will soon be 4. It’s a huge part of her life and she loves going there. The staff are very supportive to her individual needs, and they encourage her to grow in confidence and personality. Holly Lodge Nursery was very supportive throughout covid, providing regular communication and zoom meetings for the children to stay in touch, which meant so much in those early months. We’re very grateful for all the wonderful members of staff (past and present) who have formed such meaningful bonds with our daughter, and for all their hard work and dedication. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

We have recommended Holly Lodge to friends and know they are equally as pleased as we are, so really cannot rate it highly enough.

Overall this has been a wonderful nursery for us and I just wish it was open all-year round!

My three-year-old son has attended Holly Lodge Nursery for nearly two years and really enjoys it. I chose Holly Lodge because the staff are smiley, happy, calm, knowledgeable, and engaged. It shines through that they really care about the children and enjoy spending time with them. I feel that my child is properly cared for. He does lots of fun things to help his development and his personal interests are catered for. His daily activities are recorded in photos and reports online on Tapestry and I receive regular reviews on his progress. The cook is amazing and prepares nutritious meals and snacks. It might look like a bit of a shack, but actually, the indoor spaces and two outdoor play areas are great. Everything is organised and not cluttered. I particularly like the flexibility if I need extra hours or occasionally want to change them. My littlest is really attached to all the staff and has made some great friends at the nursery. I have no hesitation in recommending Holly Lodge Nursery.

Our son has been with Holly Lodge for the last three months and since he has been with the nursery we have noticed a massive progression. The nursery has provided him with the best care and learning, he is so happy to attend his two days where he learns every day through play. He has settled in extremely well all thanks to the fantastic, caring professional staff. The facilities, the food and experiences planned for the children e.g trips to the zoo make it an exciting place to be and I cannot recommend Holly Lodge enough to all parents. I am looking forward to seeing his progress in the future.

Our daughter attends Holly Lodge, and we couldn’t recommend it more. The staff are so welcoming, helpful and friendly. They have an on-site chef that provides healthy, tasty meals, and this nursery has such a homely feeling to it. Since my child has attended Holly Lodge, she has progressed massively, and we look forward to her future learning and experiences with the nursery.

The nursery is very accommodating to offer additional hours and to change hours. They are very good at communicating development and progress upon request. My son loves the nursery and comes out very happy each day! Thank you all!

Holly Lodge has a uniquely homely and nurtutring environment, which my husband and I both felt as soon as we walked in. We did not experience this when viewing other nurseries. It is spacious and light, and it does not feel chaotic or overcrowded. It has a beautiful outside space for babies to play in, full of greenery an light. Since our daughter started there a coiuple of months ago she has become more confident and less shy, she's always smiling when we pick her up and has a visibly close bond with the staff members taking care of her. They have been very encouraging in getting her to forge her own independence in terms of physical mobility and eating, which are both areas we have struggled with, but without being pushy. She is generally a happier and more social child since starting.

Very good nursery. The teachers are all very friendly; it is felt that they love children and spend time with them with pleasure. My child speaks of everyone only positively. I am very satisfied and recommend this nursery.

My son has been attending the nursery since he turned 8 months and not a day goes by that I am thankful for finding such a gem of a nursery in the heart of the little Holly Lodge community. All the caregivers are so full of love and care as if they are looking after their own children and more. They give hugs and wipe tears and noses, they talk and play. Key workers really engage with children on individual bases and give a feedback and follow up on little tasks each every day. I feel an immense gratitude for all the care, attention and support I received as a parent for three long and difficult years.

I got a recommendation to Hollylodge from one of my best friends whose little boy also goes there. I honestly could not have been happier with it as a space for my little one to go. The staff are just so wonderful, gentle, encouraging and love what they do and that shines through in how the children are there. It has this wonderful homely, cooperative environment which I valued so much for my son's first nursery experience. The children all interact so much, they’re like a little gang which can only happen in such a small and intimate setting with such warm people around them. It’s like a home from home. My son settled so quickly and always excited in the mention of staff names and kids names. We are moving out of London and have been most devastated about Otis leaving Hollylodge. I could not recommend this cost, warm, fun place. It truly is special.

Our son joined the nursery at 7 months (currently 2 years old) and he is happy, loved and very well cared for at Holly Lodge. Development is very important to us and we can see that Holly Lodge has a strong focus on this area with a good curriculum throughout the year. The staff are friendly, engaged and they have a strong connection with the children. We feel that we can have a very open conversation with the management to ensure that our son is well supported. As parents we feel included in our son’s experience at the nursery through parents evenings and events. Happy to recommend this nursery to anyone in the area!

We are extremely lucky to have Holly Lodge Nursery on our doorstep. Our daughter absolutely loves it and can't wait to make her way to the nursery every day to meet her little friends and carers. She talks about them all the time and it takes me a good amount of time to persuade her to leave for home. We started trialling the nursery when our daughter was 11 months and gradually built her time. In the beginning, she was pretty shy, but now she runs around leading a group of her nursery friends and exploring all corners of the building. She has built confidence and trust in herself and her abilities very quickly, and I can see her becoming more and more independent with every passing day, thanks to the hard work of the staff. Each day we are provided with a personalised diary to see what she was up to and a digital weekly version with photos, videos, updates and next steps for her development. The food is also tasty, nutritious, fresh and cooked each day on the premises. Highly recommended.

Holly Lodge is wonderful - my daughter loves it so much she gets upset when we leave. The staff are kind and involved, and my daughter formed a strong attachment to them in a very short period. There are lots of fun activities for learning that vary every day. The staff give thorough updates regularly, and they seem to genuinely care about my daughter and the other children, relating sweet anecdotes about everyone at the end of the day. It's a happy, homely daycare - I couldn't recommend it enough!
