Staff are very friendly and attentive. My daughter came along really well there. Flexible to our needs, one of the only nurseries around to stay open through Covid, which meant I could still work and was amazing the whole way through. Would highly recommend if your looking for a safe, friendly environment
for your child.

We used Monkey Puzzle when our child's usual nursery was closed over the Coronavirus outbreak (Mar-Jun 2020). Monkey Puzzle was one of the very few nurseries in Wandsworth open for children of key workers.
Management: Excellent. The manager was extremely helpful in organising settling in and we hugely
appreciated the flexibility and support they provided, including short-notice additional sessions when required.
Staff: Very good. We were impressed with the staff - our child bonded with them quickly and will miss many of them when he goes back to his 'regular' nursery in July.
Cost: Over lockdown, Monkey Puzzle offered a 30% discount for children of NHS workers. This was a real boon at a financially uncertain time. Costs otherwise in line with other nurseries in the area.
Learning environment: Teachers seemed to make use of a lot of iPad/YouTube at the end of the day while cleaning. Hopefully, this is not the case in normal times!

My children go to Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Battersea. I am extremely pleased with the nursery. Enrolling children in nursery is always stressful (for parents more than children), but Monkey Puzzle Nursery Battersea have been brilliant! The staff is friendly, skilled, caring and have a very good rapport
with children. My children are happy to go and developed many skills (language, communication etc.) I am being updated about my children throughout the day (through the app). We receive updates activities, along with pictures, so we feel that we are connected with them throughout the day. The nursery is clean and safe. It is spacious and has a garden where my children love to play.
A special mention to the nursery handling during the COVID-19 crisis which has been outstanding! I’m a key worker and I needed the flexibility and safety of the nursery during these times. I would definitely recommend Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Battersea!

We are so happy that we found Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Battersea! Our daughter started attending when she was 10 months old, and we were very nervous about sending her into care for the first time. It has been very evident to us that she has gained new skills and confidence from her time there (as
well as having fun!). The Monkey Puzzle staff are all incredibly kind, supportive, caring, and professional, and it means the world to us to know that she is in such good hands. We also love that they provide updates and pictures throughout the day that we can check on their app.
We have been particularly impressed with Monkey Puzzle's communication through the Covid-19 crisis. They have kept us updated at every step along the way, and have been incredibly thoughtful about the safety, needs and, concerns of children, families, and staff. We are so glad to have found them and would highly recommend Monkey Puzzle to anyone looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for your child!

We absolutely loved sending our little one to Monkey Puzzle Battersea. The staff are all caring, informative and supportive. The management and leader are very organised, helpful and positive. Our little one was super happy and content there. I would 100% recommend it.

My child attended Monkey Puzzle Battersea from September 2019 to March 2020. Unfortunately the COVID breakout has ended his attendance but the time he spent there has been invaluable to his growth and development. This was his first time being away from his family for any amount of time and it was quite
hard in the beginning. The staff were very loving and caring towards him and it wasn't long before his crying fits were lessened to the point they completely stopped and he would confidently walk into the baby room and wave goodbye. It was very reassuring to know the staff are all highly competent and very nurturing. My son can be quite the fussy eater at home and enjoys launching food and cutlery around but since attending Monkey Puzzle and seeing other children eat in their wee chairs he has cut down significantly. His listening and attention have also improved a lot and he is recognising a few letters and numbers.

I strongly believe that choosing Monkey Puzzle at Battersea was one of my best decisions. My son started to attend this nursery soon after the opening and now I can honestly say his growth (in every meaning) is way beyond my best expectations. We couldn't be more thrilled with our experience of Monkey Puzzle Battersea. The team have made our son's first nursery experience such a positive one. He has become noticeably more confident in every way. The staff are brilliant and have been so accommodating and most importantly loving which has helped

I am delighted and excited to be the owner of Monkey Puzzle Battersea.


Having been in teaching for over 25 years – I know exactly how important a child’s first steps into learning are. I have always been passionate about education and learning. My own children – now 12 and 8 – developed their curiosity, creativity and love of learning at this stage.


At Battersea Monkey Puzzle our aim is to create a fun and stimulating environment where the children feel happy, safe and excited about their learning. As we all know – Early Years Education is vital for our children and is recognised as one of the most important stages in a child’s development. Children develop so quickly at this age. My wife – a lead English teacher – knows that this stage is vital for language acquisition as well a child’s first steps in literacy.


Each child has their own personality and characteristics and we aim to support and develop these in a warm home from home environment with a strong team of well qualified practitioners. High quality provision will be at the very centre of all we do.


Being a lead practitioner for a number of years and then most recently in my role as an assistant head teacher I am confident that I have the enthusiasm, experience and understanding that is needed to nurture the needs of every child. We will ensure that you – as parents – feel that Monkey Puzzle Battersea is the right choice for you and your child.
