The nursery is good with a good environment for children. I find my child happy to come to school and meet her teachers and friends. She always improves in her language, mind, physical activities etc.
The nursery is a fun and bright environment. It provides so much effective learning for the children. My daughter loves the nursery and the teachers and she is always looking forward to coming to nursery. The teachers and management are very approachable for parents. She is having a very happy and positive experience here at Chestnut Nursery, couldn't have hoped for a better environment for her to grow up in.
I'm really happy with my child's progress. The nursery has contributed significantly towards his development. My child started from the baby room at age 11 months and is going on 4. He is always happy to go to nursery and I feel secure when he is there.
The staff have also encouraged her and have been very supportive. I have worked closely with my child's key person as she has been able to provide me with feedback and on tips about developing my child's skills further.
Anytime my daughter goes to nursery, I will always look forward to her feedback as to what she has learnt from each day and also seeing how she is slowly making preparations for when she starts school. She is very keen on learning ABC's and 123's, writing and recognising letters, characters, colours, shapes and many more. It is also a great privilege to talk to the nursery manager and teachers regarding updates on her development and what we can also learn at home.
Overall, we have a good feeling towards Chestnut @ the Maples Nursery. They start at 8:00am in the morning and work all day until 18:00pm which allows us to go to work on time. The staff are friendly and listen to our concerns. They give us feedback each day about our child. My daughter loves the nursery and is happy most of the days. She loves the food they offer and shares in the activities they arrange for the children. The space of the place is excellent, allowing children to play safely.
My experience of this nursery has been nothing but outstanding. My daughter is thriving and clearly enjoys every minute spent there. The room staff and management are kind, knowledgeable, encouraging and professional. I always get the feeling that nothing is too much trouble. I really appreciate all of the feedback I get as it really keeps me in the loop about her development and will be very sad when she finished here in July for her transition to reception.
The learning environment encourages the children to learn through play. The nursery is well resourced and all the activities stimulate and engage my daughter. She loves coming to nursery and that makes it so easy for me to leave her in the morning.
They speak nicely to my children. Every day they speak with me about what my child does in the nursery and how he has been all day.
I'm really happy with everything and all staff.
I recommend.
The staff are very nice, they are really helpful if something concerns you. I do see changes in my child's behaviour, acting, speaking and listening.
I think I made the best choice in choosing this nursery.
Every day my child says, "It was fantastic today".
Seeing my child happy is all I want, and here it is happening.
Both my daughter's started The Maples nursery in February 2019. My 1 year old is in the baby room and my 2 year old in the toddler room. The facilities they have available for the children are fantastic. The staff really supported my children to settle into the nursery and ensure that their individual needs are met. I feel especially with my 2 year old they have gone above and beyond to ensure she settled. I am amazed how much they have both individually developed in terms of their learning in such a short space of time. My 1 year old's speech has grown and she is saying so many new words and signing new songs. All the staff have been very approachable, supportive and listen to any concern or query I have had and more importantly built strong relationships with my children. I would 100% recommend this setting to any parent/carer.
If she does something new or gets a new dress or haircut, the first thing she says that the staff will be happy to see.
I like her connection with the staff.
My daughter attended Nursery School @ The Maples from September 2017 to August 2018. She enjoyed her time there very much. The staff supported her in her play and development, helping her potty train whilst at the nursery and supporting her additional needs also. If there was ever any problem the staff would call me to discuss. They responded to any of my concerns quickly and efficiently. The facilities for the children are excellent. I feel that my daughter benefitted from her time at Maples and wish them all well in the future. I would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents.

My name is Chanel Byfield, and I qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Learning and Development. I have worked within childcare for the past 6 years, where I have successfully worked my way up from beginning as an apprentice studying level 2 childcare, to a room leader and onto a Deputy Manager and now Manager.
Working with children has always been a passion of mine from a young age, as I feel there is nothing more rewarding than supporting a child to learn and develop skills, exploring their abilities as well as the environment around them, to see them achieve and support them into becoming confident, strong and independent children.
