Little Rascals Pre-Prep

My son has really gained confidence from attending here and always leaves at the end of the day in such a great little mood. The staff are lovely and communicative and you can tell they genuinely love their jobs and have great relationships with the children. On the admin side of things they have been very accommodating to our changing circumstances and have gone out of their way to give advice regarding local schools/activities etc as we were new to the area when our son started.

Great preschool with lovely staff, convenient location and great spirit and ambitions! My daughter really enjoys going there and it’s really nice to see how the new management team has changed things for the better, creating an environment that is not only fun for the kids but prepares them for school.

I cannot recommend Little Rascals pre-prep enough! The facilities are fabulous and the variety of activities offered to the children is amazing. The children are also given time for free play (indoors and also outdoor in the amazing garden!) and to develop their creativity. A lot of care and personalised attention is given to each child by the fantastic staff to encourage their development at their own pace. When my son is at Little Rascals I know he is safe and extremely well looked after. The food offered is varied and healthy and gives children the opportunity to develop their sensitive taste buds! My son has been at Little Rascals since the age of one and we have both thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

All the staff are very friendly and supportive. I feel that they genuinely care for the children and take the time to establish close bonds. My daughter cannot leave without saying goodbye to each one because they are her friends as much as the children are!

At each level, I have been impressed with the diversity of the activities. They really engage the children and are clearly designed to get the best out of them, whilst also being fun.

The lady has been fantastic as the head of pre-school. Whenever I have had concerns or queries, she has always made time to talk them through with me and demonstrated a genuine willingness to understand the situation and how she/the staff can help.

I cannot recommend this nursery more highly. My daughter has flourished in this environment and I think it has set her up perfectly for the transition to school.

Both my sons have attended Little Rascals. My eldest left the nursery last year and I felt that he left Little Rascals with great key skills that helped him transition to primary school - not to mention the few nursery friends that started at the same school which greatly aided his settling in! My younger son is currently in the older room and I feel Little Rascals have really helped him develop. He is a summer born child so initially, I was worried about him in the education system - but I feel his pre-prep attendance will actually give him an advantage! He is fun and vivacious and so Little Rascals gives him the perfect opportunity to expend his energy! He loves going in every morning and his key worker and other staff members are all great with him. He is learning some great skills ahead of his starting at primary school and the recent renovation of the building and resources has really helped this.

My little boy has been going to Little Rascals for over two years. In that time the nursery setting and staff have helped him grow in confidence and ability. He is a shy child naturally, but I believe the warm and friendly staff have made the difference to him being not only happy, but also chatty. Nothing is too much for the team, who work very hard to ensure learning and play is fun and engaging.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to enrol their children in nursery or pre-school.

Both my children moved to Little Rascals preschool from the nursery setting and I couldn’t be happier with it. The preschool has a structured transition from nursery to a ‘classroom setting’ and encourages the children to develop and start to learn educationally through play. My children experienced a large variety of different activities each day and I feel that they were extremely well prepared to confidently begin their school years. The manager was always on hand to answer any specific questions I had and we were regularly invited to parent consultations where we got to speak with our child’s main key worker/carer and discuss how they were developing through the early years structure. I am very impressed with the amount of outside play the children get and everything is made fun. The staff really do put in a lot of effort to make each day engaging and memorable for the children. I would have no hesitation in recommending this preschool.

My grandson attended this nursery and has recently left for school. He was so happy and settled. The staff were consistent and wonderfully kind to all the family when we would go and collect him. The manager was extremely professional, helpful and a lovely personality for the face of the Preschool. I would highly recommend this setting for any aged child as the nursery is just as wonderful with great staff and management.

My son (now aged 3 1/2) has been with Little Rascals for 5 days a week since he was 9 months old. I am confident that he has always received exemplary care and I would recommend both the nursery and preschool settings very highly. The managers and practitioners at Little Rascals are wonderful without exception and in particular, my husband and I value the support that they give to us in ensuring that our parenting approach (with matters such as weaning, discipline, potty training etc) is consistent between home and nursery/pre-school. Play is educationally focused, exciting and plentiful and, even with the best will in the world, couldn’t be recreated at home. They have the best ideas! Now my son can express his thoughts, emotions and ideas, he is able to tell us how excited he is to see the “adults” and his friends at preschool and to share with them the things that matter to him at the moment (eg His new swimming float, Paw Patrol and his baby brother, probably in that order...)

The work compatible opening hours are a definite bonus! Thoroughly recommend this preschool.

We, as parents have always felt more than happy to be leaving our boys in their care and they too look forward to their days at LRs!

My child loves the nursery and she is so happy there. Also, friendly staff and her learning development has improved.

We have been very happy indeed with the care our son has received at Little Rascals. He has flourished here, largely due to the talent and hard work of the staff who focus every day on the happiness, health and development of every child. We have no hesitation to recommend it to others, and when he leaves Pre School this summer it will be with extremely happy memories and strong relationships with nursery workers and his friends.

We have been availing the service of Little Rascals since 2015, first for our daughter and now for our son. Over the years, we are very pleased with the care and guidance provided at the nursery - particularly the staff whose approach is very much akin to a family atmosphere. Based on our daughter's current performance at school, we believe Little Rascals did play a major role in preparing her for school with the phonics and other learning activities. Overall, we are very pleased and would recommend the nursery.

My daughter has settle in very well and loves the pre-school. This is all because of the wonderful staff and care that is given to the children. All staff have been very kind and have helped my daughter settled into pre-school. Communication is regular, immediate, effective and professional. She made quite good friends with the help of the staff and is now more confident outgoing and not shy. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to every parent.
