The Lodge Day Nursery

The team have managed his additional needs extremely well allowing me to relax knowing he is in safe hands. His development and confidence have come so much since he started, and I put that down to the care and support of the dedicated team.

one loves all the staff in his room and he looks forward to his days there. The different areas of play keep him well entertained and he is always involved in something different and new. I cannot recommend The Lodge enough!

The staff at The Lodge are always very welcoming and friendly - in fact my daughter (who turned two years old two months ago) doesn't even say goodbye to me anymore when I drop her off in the mornings - clearly there are too many interesting things for her to do and explore than waste time saying goodbye to me!

have endless enthusiasm. The children come home with paintings, drawings, nursery-made cakes, potato models, sunflower plants and library books. The rooms are bright, clean and spacious. The garden is secure with many different toys to play with. The children are also taken for trips outside the nursery to the park, the town centre and the local garden centre, and have use of the gym at the senior school. The office staff are very helpful and also have a bond with the children, so much so that my daughter knocks on the office door every night to say goodbye. It is lovely and reassuring to receive photos and videos throughout the day of my daughters smiling and playing.

be outdoors and tickle time! They regularly take the children out in the local community to parks, pet shops, garden centres and recently the Elmer trail. The experiences they have are excellent and really support children's language development as our son often comes home trying to tell us about his day even before he has turned 2! I was genuinely delighted to pick our son up blue the other day, a sign of a great day! Even in such a beautiful setting, this does not stop them getting messy and having fun. All these wonderful experiences are regularly captured in photos and on video which is lovely to share at home. Thank you to everyone who makes our son feel so welcome and loved every day!

to eating together with other children and in an organised manner. The story time is our favourite as the storyteller always gets into character and interacts skillfully with the children.
