Highfield and Brookham Nursery

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Highfield and Brookham nursery. Both our children have had such a lovely time there. Our youngest is so happy at this nursery and regularly talks about her teachers with great fondness. The facilities are incredible with the opportunity for forest school, gymnastics and swimming! Since starting, our child's speech and language has massively improved. We were also very grateful for the help with potty training, which was so easy thanks to the support of the nursery workers. Having tried two other local nursery's, Highfield and Brookham is leaps and bounds ahead of the rest.

An incredible happy place where children look forward to coming to school. Amazing facilities and teachers who have give all 4 of my children the most fantastic start in life. I really could not think of a single fault and they deserve all the praise and success of working so hard to be the best in the area!

They’re surrounded by nature, and the classrooms have a lot of natural light with aesthetically pleasing toys and objects that provide a neutral canvas for them to explore and be creative in their play.

We were conscious to choose a nursery for our daughter that was a gentle, calm and creative space. And we found that at Brookham with the beautiful classrooms, plenty of space to play, books, wooden toys, art supplies and a large outside space with woods they can explore, it just seemed the ideal place to grow and learn and we’re very happy with our decision.

Had a great experience since we started. My son loves it there and the staff are so lovely, welcoming and nurturing. My son gets excited about going to nursery which is a testament to the nursery and how welcome they make him feel. He loves the forest school and music. I highly recommend Brookham Nursery.

Excellent nurturing nursery with fantastic extracurricular activities and facilities such as swimming, music classes, forest school, dance and sport, all from the age of 2 years old. We absolutely love it there!

Brookham is an absolutely lovely nursery. I have had two children go through the nursery and the standard of care has been consistently brilliant throughout. Everything, from the facilities to the activities to the food is so carefully thought through. The staff turnover is really low. Can’t fault them in any way.

My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Brookham. The facilities are excellent - he particularly enjoys swimming and forest school. The staff are caring and seem to take a genuine interest in each child’s development.

We moved our son from a local nursery to Brookham Nursery four months ago and we couldn’t be happier. He thoroughly enjoys the structure of 'forest school', ballet and swimming and also loves the free-flow through the rooms. The staff are lovely and he’s clearly very happy. We don’t receive much information about what he does each day, unlike when he was at our local nursery with photos and write-ups on their app, but it is preparing us, as much as him, for when he starts school in September!

My son joined the nursery when he turned two last year. We couldn't be happier. He has flourished in the smaller classroom setting. The teachers are amazing - so caring. He has recently moved into a brand new classroom which is such a lovely space and a very calming setting. The grounds are beautiful and there is so much space for them to run around outside. He has a weekly swim lesson which is amazing - we were able to watch them recently and I couldn't believe his confidence in the water. It is a very nurturing environment but they encourage independence and he has grown in confidence. He never has dirty clothes to bring home and always comes back very clean and very happy.

What a great nursery. My son joined in September 2022 and we have been delighted by the care and support he has received. The staff are excellent and brilliant communicators and the Nursery is situated in a bright, brand-new building.

Glorious new facilities in gorgeous countryside. Good balance of indoor and outdoor time with a strong, age-appropriate curriculum. Loving, caring teachers and an excellent timetable of activities, to suit any toddler.

Excellent experience so far. They have really helped my son settle despite him being a bit apprehensive at first. The facilities are excellent and when he was a bit overwhelmed on his first day, they let him go and see his sister in year two. The teachers have been really attentive to him and the activities they have organised have been first class.

What lucky kids, Brookham Nursery is amazing! It has incredible facilities and brilliant staff. They cook their own snacks, swim every week and have a huge range of activities to choose from inside the newly built classroom. It is nurturing whilst encouraging confidence and independence.

The nursery is a fantastically nurturing and safe environment where children thrive. Activities often vary but there is also consistency so children have time to adapt to new challenges that keep them stretched academically. The nursery's leadership does a great job to create a stimulating setting for all children. We feel that our child has had a bespoke journey since she joined almost a year ago. All her needs have been met and communication with her carers has always been easy and straightforward. I could not recommend Brookham Nursery more.

We feel so incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery for our three children. I honestly don't think that you could find a better nursery. I can't recommend it highly enough!

A wonderful nursery all round. The teachers are so thoughtful and attentive with each and every child, the facilities are spacious and inspiring inside and out for the children and the entry to learning and core skills is well constructed and enjoyable. My son loves going to school and adores his teachers.

My wife and I are so pleased with the nursery. There's such a happy, calm and nurturing atmosphere. The breadth of opportunities is fantastic; our son gets to take part in swimming, ballet, music, Spanish and forest school. They have a huge amount of space and facilities to run around in, and we love that there is a big emphasis on the outdoors, as it's where our boy is happiest. The staff are just wonderful, caring and thoughtful; they keep us informed and, most importantly, really get to know the children.

My daughter started Brookham Nursery as soon as she turned 2! From day one, she strolled into the calm and welcoming environment created by the fabulous nursery staff. She has loved every minute and spends the evenings chatting away excitedly about all the wonderful things she experiences - swimming, ballet, PE, music, art, forest school...the list is endless. The variety of activities offered to the children is outstanding and well thought out for the children at the nursery. We are just thrilled with how happy she is there and can only thank the staff for their caring, ever enthusiastic and experienced approach to nurturing and educating our little one. Thank you!

It was a difficult decision to move both my children across to Brookham Nursery from their original nursery but it turned out to be a brilliant one. They had both had a fabulous grounding and now, here at Brookham Nursery they are developing all those skills further. The outdoor nature of school suits them beautifully and the access to music, swimming, dance and PE keep them active and creative. They are both super happy to go in every day and come home nicely tired each evening. The staff are friendly, understanding and nurturing; they really know my children. The parent body is equally supportive and friendly. A fabulous choice which we will never regret.

Brookham Nursery is the most wonderfully warm, welcoming, fun and nurturing environment for children. The teachers are excellent and both of my children have absolutely adored it. I couldn't recommend it highly enough!
