Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Muswell Hill is an amazing nursery. The staff and managers are extremely friendly, lovely and work far and beyond for the children. My little boy is currently there and he absolutely loves it. My eldest son also went there too, and he always says he wants to go visit Monkey
Nursery which is so lovely to hear. I always tell my friends about the nursery whenever they are looking for one, cannot recommend it enough.

Our daughter who is a pre-schooler attended Monkey Puzzle Muswell Hill for around 9 months but the bond she has built with her teachers and the nursery is incredible. In addition to this, me and my wife can easily observe that her social, cognitive and physical skills have significantly improved during
her time with the nursery and she is more than ready for her Reception Year thanks to Monkey Puzzle Muswell Hill. The professionals of the nursery genuinely care about every single child within the nursery and they do not hesitate to take the extra mile for the children which was beyond our expectations. Therefore, we would highly recommend their services to any parents who are in need of childcare services for their children.

We couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough. Our experience has met our expectations and more, the staff have all been incredibly kind and welcoming at all times. As for our daughter - she has come on leaps and bounds in the baby room. "The proof is in the pudding." She wants to go to nursery and
comes home so happy. She even calls the names of the staff and her friends at home which is so lovely and reassuring.

My daughter who has just turned 4 has attended this nursery since she was 10 months old and she absolutely loves it! We couldn’t be any happier with the care, education, and support provided from the nursery and it’s wonderful staff. It feels like one big family, the staff are amazing, approachable,
nurturing and always smiling and going out of their way to help with anything anyone needs. When you walk in, you can see how much the children adore the staff and how much the staff adore them. It’s always clean and tidy and the resources provided are great! I highly recommend this nursery and give it 10/10. I know my daughter will greatly miss it when she leaves for big school.

My daughter lovers her nursery and the care delivered by staff is exceptional from what we have experienced so far. My 3 year old loves it at Monkey Puzzle. He attends 3 days a week, and the days he doesn’t attend he asks if he can go!
The staff are amazing, and the communication between staff/parents is very good!
The activities they do are very well thought out, and you can see the effort that goes into them
to make sure each child learns and enjoys from them as well as lots of fun outings that they go on.


Highly recommend Monkey Puzzle. They have been amazing with my 3-year-old, and seeing how much he has blossomed in the past year he has been there has been lovely and I can’t thank them enough for their hard work and dedication to what they do every day.

You expect from a private and small nursery to receive the highest standards ever but in our case. Our experience wasn't one that I was expected. I give two stars just because some members of staff were doing their job properly.
You should update your website, some of the qualified staff are not working
there and now some of the current staff are not trained enough to look after children and many more which I can't explain in one simple review. If you try to point out your opinion or mistakes they turn around and roll their eyes instead of coming up with a solution. Not enough experience in staff and I don't see the passion in working with children. My opinion. My child was supposed to have a two-year review and he didn't have it. My child didn't learn anything apart from the education that he received at home. We did not have a good experience and maybe was a sign to move my child from there.

I'm extremely happy with the education my daughter receives at the nursery. She has come a long way since joining in 2018 and I'm happy with the level of progress updates. I am super happy with Monkey Puzzle Muswell Hill. Initially, my son attended this nursery when it first opened (he is in school now, just finished reception) and now I have my little daughter there. All the staff is very friendly and the management team rocks. I strongly recommend this nursery to any
parent that wants their kids to be taken good care of and at the same time being involved in so many educational and fun activities.
Every morning my daughter looks so much forward to going to the nursery which is a great indicator of what a great place it is for the kids!

My Son has attended Monkey Puzzle since it opened when he was 10 months old, he is now 3 and has just moved into the preschool room. This morning he was singing "I love nursery, I love nursery!" He asks me what day it is every morning so he can find out if its a preschool day or not.
The staff are
fantastic, caring, kind, nurturing and always have smiles on their faces, they go out of their way to always be as helpful as possible.
Nursery use a fantastic app called Famly to keep us updated and I love getting daily posts and photos of my Son happily playing with his peers.
Highly recommended this nursery to anybody with young children.

Monkey Puzzle has been like a family home rather than a nursery. All staff are superb at what they do even when new staff start they just become like family to my children and myself. The staff are very supportive and understanding. The manager is absolutely well-organised, caring and understanding
of all situations including covid19. My child still cries to come back to Monkey Puzzle after starting reception. And my other daughter who attends there was very upset during lockdown that she couldn't come. I rate Monkey Puzzle 10/10 and can't wait for my baby to start.

My 3-year-old daughter started in the pre-school class at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Muswell Hill in early June 2020, on a part-time basis. Although she only attends part-time, I started seeing a positive difference in her communication and social skills within a couple of weeks. She looks forward to
the days she attends and asks to go in on the days she's at home. She chats about the friends she has made and her teacher, and even about the yummy snacks and food she gets.
The Nursery has implemented measures and systems due to the pandemic, so there is a lot sanitising/cleaning, no day trips etc. Teachers and management are friendly and helpful. I get a daily detailed report on my little one every day she is there, with pictures of her taking part in various activities. It's wonderful to know and see what she's been doing at school, and I can then talk to her about specific things she has done when we get home. Overall, I'm very happy with Monkey Puzzle Nursery and would definitely recommend it!

Our 19-month-old son is developing by leaps and bounds ever since he joined Monkey Puzzle back in November last year. He is looking forward to going to nursery every single time and leaves it always happy and quite often a bit tired. Tiredness being a consequence of his complete immersion in playing
and learning. We thought that nursery had a very good vibe to it from the first visit but did not dream of how good it will be. What we see for three days a week with the little one is on par with my older daughter's total enjoyment of attending a very well run Montessori preschool nursery, few years back. Highly recommended.

I can’t speak more highly about Monkey Puzzle. The baby room team have been incredible at helping my son settle in. He started Monkey Puzzle at 8 months old, I was very anxious but they reassured me that my baby boy would be just fine and made me feel at ease. His key worker has been a vital part of
my son’s care and he absolutely loves her. I can’t thank her and the team enough for the amazing work they do. It is a wonderful, safe and nurturing environment and he has made huge progress.

Our daughter joined the baby room when she was 12 months and had a super experience. The staff are professional but so warm and friendly, she settled in quickly and seemed happy.


The transition to the toddler room was seamless and she now enjoys a range of activities and trips and has developed immensely.

I couldn't have found a more perfect nursery for my son to attend. Monkey Puzzle has a genuine family feel and you have all made us feel so welcome from the very first day. The facilities are outstanding and the activities my son gets to partake in mean he is so excited to go in each day. He has been

Paula Murphy

Paula is the owner of Monkey Puzzle Muswell Hill, which she opened in January 2018. Paula is also the owner of Monkey Puzzle East Finchley, which she opened in September 2011.


Paula has 3 children of her own and has worked in childcare for 13 years.

Ryan

Ryan Phillips

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2018

Ryan is our Manager and holds a BA in teaching and learning & a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies. Ryan holds paediatric first aid, first aid at work, fire warden and level 3 food hygiene certificates. Ryan is a lead safeguarding officer and oversees special educational needs, behaviour management, health & safety and equal opportunities across the nursery. Ryan has worked in many childcare settings with 17 years of childcare experience behind him. Most recently he worked as a deputy manager for 8 years before moving over from our East Finchley site in August 2018 to take on the role of Manager.

Liana Marenghi

Job Title: Assistant Manager Joined: 2018

Liana is our Assistant Manager and oversees Special Educational Needs, behaviour management and health & safety across the nursery. She has completed her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Service, Liana previously worked as deputy room leader for 4 years.
