The Preschool provides an outstanding curriculum to meet the needs and interests of all children, and provides early intervention strategies for emerging needs, ensuring all children achieve the best start in life. Children with additional needs are supported by an aspirational SEND Team.
The Preschool is focused on learning through play in the seven areas of the EYFS, including Literacy, Maths and Understanding the World. Highly experienced Montessori teachers and educators develop a range of unique learning experiences, which are immersive, creative and support children's early independence. Child welfare and safeguarding are paramount in all aspects of daily routines and planning.
Children develop a close attachment to their Key Person, and a range of other staff who, together, offer many layers of support to ensure children develop in a holistic way and thrive. Parents' views are always valued, and a strong partnership with them and other stakeholders enhances the ability of staff to provide the best outcomes for all children.
Extra-curricular learning opportunities in languages are available for all children, with no additional charges. All staff are bilingual and can speak a range of community languages, supporting children with EAL.
Precious Smiles Preschool offers fully-funded places from the age of 2 years up to 5 years. There are no hidden charges for funded places. The Admissions Team are available to organise a visit and answer any queries. During busy periods, there may be a waiting list in place. Places are limited outside of September admissions each year.

When I first enrolled my daughter to Precious Smiles Preschool, I was struggling to be a single mother, my daughter was about two years old at the time, I was very concerned about my daughter’s social skills and confidence, as I could see she struggled to play with children her own age especially...
When I first enrolled my daughter to Precious Smiles Preschool, I was struggling to be a single mother, my daughter was about two years old at the time, I was very concerned about my daughter’s social skills and confidence, as I could see she struggled to play with children her own age especially without me being present. PSL staff worked closely to build my daughter's confidence, they provided one to one support to enable my daughter to settle into the nursery. PSL took the time to advise me on what to do with my daughter at home, giving me ideas to encourage my daughter to play and learn especially with other children of her own age.
PSL went the extra mile to make sure my daughter felt happy and safe when I drop her to the centre. The staff have always treated me and my daughter with respect, they have been extremely supportive, very patient and understanding throughout the years she attended PSL.
