King's Hawford Nursery

My son has flourished since attending Kings Hawford, his development has been a delight to see. All the staff are very supportive and kind, and our son loves them all. Lots of events and fun ways to get involved with the nursery too!

The staff really do go above and beyond, and really take the time to get to know each child.

My grandson followed in his older brother’s footsteps and started at Hawford Nursery shortly after he turned two. It is safe to say he has come on leaps and bounds since starting kindergarten last September. The staff have been incredible in helping him settle in and have really encouraged his speech and language. He has a brilliant relationship with all of the members of the staff. We couldn’t have wished for a better setting.

Our son started at King's Hawford just over a year ago and really enjoys his time here. He particularly loves Forest School, Swimming and German. The staff are all very caring and attentive, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We couldn't be happier.

My daughter has been going to King's Hawford Nursery since she was 2 and I honestly believe that she has had the best start to her educational experience possible and she has been around the most incredible teachers I have ever met. There are so many outdoor facilities for children who love to explore the wild outdoors, like my daughter. But their indoor facilities are just as amazing. Filled with children’s amazing art. You can see that they really put their hearts and souls into the happiness and welfare of the children they care for. 10/10 and they deserve every star.

Our eldest son also attended King's Hawford Nursery and had a wonderful experience so we were more than happy to send our youngest there.

My overall experience of this nursery is that it is extremely efficient and well-run, and the whole facility is superb, with the lovely friendly staff members, you almost feel like part of a big family. My son has been so very happy since he has been there and is developing extremely well. It's all credit to the wonderful staff and surroundings. So thank you very much. I wouldn't be happy with him anywhere else.

We could not wish for a better setting for our son. The staff ratios are great which means the children get the attention they need at this young age. The staff and management are all wonderful and have made my son feel welcomed, listened to and cared for. He looks forward to his nursery days which makes drop-off easier for us. He loves all the outdoor space, doing forest school, swimming and rugbytots. The nursery really helps with the transition to school too so I know my son will take the move to reception in his stride. I really couldn't recommend it more highly.

His speech and language are improving day by day. He always comes home singing a nursery rhyme he has learnt. The breadth of activities on offer from such a young age is also brilliant and ensures that little one is having lots of different experiences in a safe and fun environment. He really enjoys swimming and Forest school days!

My daughter joined Hawford kindergarten late last year. There is always a happy smile when dropping her off and picking her up, which gives me confidence that she very much enjoys her nursery days. The teachers are lovely and have such warm personalities towards my daughter. She very much enjoys swimming on a Friday and talks with happiness about the friends she has already made. Looking forward to seeing her grow through her kindergarten years.

My daughter has been attending kindergarten since she was 2 years and 4 months old (she is now 4 years old) and she absolutely loves it! She was so excited when she started, to join her older brother and she is still excited to go now. The setting is just amazing and she particularly loves all the activities they do outside, whatever the weather! I love picking her up and hearing her stories from the day. A recent favourite was when the head of early years, left the oven door open and the gingerbread man had escaped. We came home to read the story for the hundredth time, but this time, she was so much more engaged. The teaching staff are amazing and my daughter feels very confident and secure in their company.

A first-class, bespoke, nurturing and flexible setting. All the teachers are so caring and full of enthusiasm for the children. They even play with the children - eg: pretending to be a robot or princess! The activities on offer are endless - forest school (which this week involved pretending to fish with sticks, string and leaves), reading and borrowing books from the school library (which is housed within a static London bus), music classes, swimming on-site in the heated pool and more. Often there will be a theme to the week, to encourage and enable learning. An app allows teachers to post photos of the children, providing parents with live insights. In addition, brief written feedback is provided daily in the individual children's diaries and nursery teachers give a brief run-down of the day, at pick-up. Teachers are always on hand if the parent needs to talk about anything. A very special place and my little girl adores it!

Kindergarten at King's Hawford Nursery is a wonderful place to be. Children flourish under the care of exceptional staff who care deeply about all of the children. The opportunities for the children are fantastic and there is nowhere else I would feel happier with my children being.

What really stands this nursery apart from others is the outdoor exploration. They are always finding opportunities to get the kids outside, into the forest school and explore nature.

My daughter has been attending Kings Hawford since February 2021, joining a couple of days after her second birthday. She is a very shy child and it took some time for her to settle in and to get used to being left. All the staff were incredibly patient during this period and she soon began to grow in confidence. They do a huge variety of activities, and one of the things i like best is that they spend so much time outside - either playing in the yard, at forest school or exploring the school grounds. They also participate in many of the events that take place in the prep school in terms of dressing up and joining in and i think spending time with older children also helps their confidence. Safe to say we are extremely happy with our choice and would highly recommend Kings Hawford.

I’m delighted with the nursery for my 2 and a half year old son. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and from settling in to answering questions or telling us what our son's enjoyed, everyone has been excellent. I’m a former pupil myself and remember my time with deep affection. This school still has a lovely family feel and the staff are approachable and warm. The school hosts excellent facilities with pool, boats, tee-pees and sports facilities.

My son's speech has improved greatly, as a lockdown child he has suffered not meeting other children of his own age, nursery is really bringing him on and it’s lovely to hear the positive impact my parents can see in him. The staff to pupil ratio is excellent and my son is known as an individual. I honestly wish I could sometimes stay as the activities to the nutritional lunch are exciting and well planned.Without a doubt, we have made a good choice in Hawford.

The head of early years, in particular, is like a real life Mary Poppins!

King's Hawford Nursery is a wonderful place to send your child. Our daughter has been attending for about a year now and has never come out with anything other than a huge, beaming smile on her face. She loves all the activities she gets to do, especially forest school and music with singing. Their facilities and outdoor space are incredible and the nursery practitioners are fantastic. They are highly experienced and full of smiles, warmth and enthusiasm. I cannot recommend Kindergarten at King's Hawford Nursery highly enough.
