Kids Planet Apley Nursery opened in September 2017 in the grounds of the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

The nursery provides the highest possible standard of care in a happy relaxed environment so that your child feels at home and secure.

Each child is able to explore, investigate, play and socially interact in a safe, yet stimulating environment, which meets their individual needs.

The nursery's approach is friendly, fun and informal, creating an atmosphere conducive to healthy social interaction, and sound emotional and physical development in their early years.

All three of our boys have/are attending Kids Planet Apley. Our eldest started in preschool and always loved attending. He still talks about his nursery experiences now (which I think speaks volumes). We currently have two boys attending who started from the baby room. We can’t thank the staff enough
for all of their love and care. They are all very supportive and have become just like family. The boys love attending nursery which make drop offs much easier. They are offered a range of experiences within the provision both inside and outside. All three boys love the outdoors and Apley provides great opportunities for this. When planning the activities they take into account the individual interests and offer learning opportunities to support this. As a family we couldn’t imagine sending the boys anywhere else! Thank you to everyone for all of your continued hard work in creating wonderful early years memories for our boys. We will be forever grateful.

Our son started the nursery September 2022 in the baby room and since then he has come along so well, it's been amazing to watch him grow. The staff in the baby room are absolutely amazing and were so accommodating to our routine, it made us feel more comfortable leaving him there at first. They really
made our first experience of leaving our son perfectly. He is now in Tots and the staff are amazing! He absolutely loves his days at nursery, it's lovely to see. All staff are so kind and caring this is including the office staff too! We appreciate the care and comfort you provide to our son and we wouldn't trust anybody else. Thank you Kids Planet.

Our child started here in April and so far we are very happy with this nursery. Our other child went to two separate nurseries in Telford and both of which ended up with bad Ofsted reports. We feel Apley are very good with communication, food, activities and staff. We are very happy with our child attending
this nursery.

I currently have two children in preschool who both started when they were six months old.
We have loved each room and will be forever grateful for the hard work from the staff and the memories they have created. The care they deliver to the children is exceptional. I have no doubt that when I drop
them off they will have a fun filled day full of enrichment.
They are nurtured and supported. Their interests valued and incorporated into daily activities and their achievements are celebrated.
We will be sad when the day comes to say our final goodbye because it’s such a brilliant nursery. But, I believe the journey through this nursery has prepared them perfectly for their next step into school.

My son has attended the nursery since he was 6 months old so from babies to tweenies and now in toddlers, he has loved every room and the staff are just incredible. I cannot give them enough praise they are so supportive to his needs when moving rooms so the transition is as smooth as possible. The
encouragement he is given by all staff to try new things (food especially) is amazing. He is thriving at the nursery and we couldn't have asked for a better or safer place for him to attend and expand his growth. Thank you.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for the last 3 years and there hasn’t been a day where she hasn’t wanted to go into nursery. She always has a smile on her face with no hesitation to go into her room. She has an excellent relationship with all of the nursery assistants and the children who
attend.
I have always found the office staff to be extremely helpful.
I will 100% continue to use the nursery for school summer holidays for both my children.

My son started in babies all the way through to starting school, my daughter also started in babies and is currently in pre-school. The staff are amazing, friendly and caring. The children have lots of fun that is centred around learning. This is a great boost of knowledge ready for starting school
with numbers, letters and phonics. I will be sad when my daughter graduates for school as the nursery has been a big part of ours and our children's lives for so many years.

Over the years, I have been a staff member and a parent at Ercall Village/Apley Village/Kids Planet. As a staff member I always vowed I would never send my children anywhere else when the time came, and now, as a parent, I can’t thank them enough. Both of my girls attend(ed) the nursery from 18 months
old and the progress made was/is amazing (eldest is now at school, youngest in tweenies). They were/are always happy and loved. Most importantly, I trust the staff, they are extremely friendly and the turnover is low. Keep doing what you’re doing, we really appreciate it.

I have 2 sons that attend Kids Planet Apley. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff who are all clearly dedicated to creating a happy and safe environment for the children. As my sons have progressed through the different rooms at the nursery, I can see the positive impact the staff have had
on their development and confidence. They are both happy to attend the nursery and settle well. The staff are very creative in providing a variety of different activities, which are tailored to their developmental needs. They have more recently been on some trips out, which they really enjoyed. The menu is varied and they always seem to enjoy their meals and snacks! The management are excellent and efficient at communicating with us about any changes at the nursery or responding to any queries we’ve had. Above all we are so glad to have chosen Apley and think they have given our sons the best start.

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was 11 months old. Every room she has been in have provided her with excellent care and supported her holistic development.
She has had great bonds with every adult in every room she has been in and has made lovely friendships with her peers.
Kids Planet
Apley is a lovely community for my daughter to be part of, and as a parent you feel included with the detailed handovers given every day.
Now my daughters leaving to begin her primary school journey and everyone at Apley nursery will be missed.

My little girl has been coming here for a year now, she started at 11 months old. I was worried about her napping and eating in a new environment but she took to it straight away. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, they are more than willing to help with any question or query. I feel she is treated
amazingly while she is at nursery, her speech and development have come on so well. I would recommend this nursery to others thinking of sending their child.

Both of my daughters attend Kids Planet, Apley. My eldest (4 and a half years) is currently in pre-school, and my youngest (just turned 2) is in toddlers, and both have come to nursery for 2/3 full days since just before turning 1.
The location is ideal for my job (I work within the hospital on-site)
and the opening hours suit our working patterns.
The staff across the whole nursery are polite, friendly, approachable and happy to answer any question or query we have. My daughters have always gone into nursery and been greeted with a smile and settled very quickly for their day. They always have lots of fun, educational, or messy activities set up for the children, and a wide variety of resources for them to access throughout their day.
The new menu is excellent, large variety and healthy choices and vegetarian alternatives are available at all meals.
I’m my daughters both love coming here, and happy children makes for a happy Mum!

Lovely clean, well-resourced nursery with kind, caring staff who make you feel like they'll care for your child like their own. The genuine staff and open attitude help you feel as though you can raise any worries or concerns and they'll be taken seriously and they'll support your parenting choices.
My son asks to go even on his days off, which is recommendation enough!

My son has been coming here since before he was 1, the staff are fantastic second to none! They are super friendly, helpful and kind and my son has always been happy here. The skills they teach and the relationships they build are amazing from babies through to pre-school the staff love him and always

My daughter is currently 2 and has been attending the nursery since she was 12 months old, following in her sister's footsteps who graduated from nursery last year after starting around 12 months old. During that time they have gone above and beyond on numerous occasions. We find the staff very welcoming
and have created an amazing environment for the children. There is always a range of activities for the children to take part in each day, my daughter has lots of fun exploring and playing with her friends. It's great to see our daughter learning and developing because of the great work of the staff. The menu available ensures the children get to try a wide variety of food. Thank you for all you do for her, we can't wait to see her grow and develop even more!

My daughter has recently moved from toddlers into the preschool. She has thrived every single day since she started nearly a year ago. She loves coming in and being with the staff and other children. All staff have all been so welcoming and supportive to both my daughter and to us as parents as we navigate
parenting a toddler! I was so worried about leaving my daughter with somebody other than family but I was genuinely made to feel relaxed from the moment we viewed Kids Planet Apley.
The range of topics covered and events that the children get involved in is amazing and widens their experiences. The meals that are offered has supported her trying new foods away from home which has helped with picky eating. Each day we get a handover from staff of how she has been, what they’ve been up to and what she has eaten and it’s lovely to hear everything they have been up to.
I cannot fault our experience and would recommend to any parents looking for a nursery provider.

My name is Holly, and I am the Nursery Manager.
I am the manager at Kids Planet Apley. I have a BA Hons degree in Early Childhood Studies where I have also gained 5 years of experience working from an early-year practitioner to room leader, deputy manager and now Manager!


I am very passionate about creating an enriching environment for children that will support and encourage their development. I have had lots of experience within preschool rooms to ensure that children prepare for the school transition and leave nursery the most confident little human they can be! I care highly about wellbeing and will give my all to support those around me, children, parents and staff members. I aim to make this nursery the most homely and nurturing place it can be!
