Little Green Rascals Day Nursery Bishopthorpe

Our little boy has been in dragonflies for nearly a year now and has developed extremely well during his time. He loves coming to nursery and playing with his friends. The staff of the nursery are great - always friendly and you can see they love what they do. We highly recommend the nursery to everyone!

We can't rate the staff high enough, they care and develop our children amazingly.

Both children love it here. All staff are amazing and you can tell everyone really cares. All departments are really on the ball, and are very understanding to any needs our children may have.

There is no other nursery I would trust with my child. The love and support they give is unmatched. Thank you for everything you do.

I am very happy with the overall nursery experience. My daughter has grown in confidence with the excellent support and leadership of the team. At times she was upset at going to nursery but we reassured her that there would always be a welcoming smile and hug for her with lots of fun learning activities to enjoy and where The can begin to make friendships with other children. The teachers. and key person have always been very approachable and accessible with the needs of my daughter always in their minds. The learning environment together with the food preferences (vegan) have been excellent and my daughter has enjoyed both indoor and outdoor play and learning

The children in their care are well looked after, well - fed, nurtured and thrive.

Every time I needed extra days booking in staff are very helpfull.

Our baby has been attending Bishopthorpe Little Green Rascals for the last couple of months and he loves his time in the wiggly worms room. My husband and I have been so impressed with how quickly our baby has settled, the quality of care and how his development has progressed during his short time at the nursery. Thank you to the staff for creating a wonderful environment for our son to thrive in.

The nursery setting is so lovely, the rooms are nicely decorated and the toys are plentiful and centre around real-life practical play. All of the staff are incredible, they are so caring and nurturing with the kids. The activities are varied and really engaging. The outdoor space and forest school are great and the kids love it. The food/menu choices are broad and interesting to introduce new flavours/foods.

Choosing this nursery has been the best decision we've made. Our child hadn't really been around many other adults before so we were nervous about sending her but the staff made us feel so much calmer about the experience. They know our child so well and give feedback on her development at every pickup! We can't thank them enough for making this experience so special!

Little Green Rascals has been a brilliant nursery for our three-year-old daughter. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, and always trying to find fun and interesting activities for the children to do. There are great indoor and outdoor areas and it really feels like a home from home for our little one - who can be a rascal at times.

My child has attended since September 2017. We loved her previous nursery and were unsure about moving to a smaller newly opened facility. However, both my child and I love it. This week she was wrapped up warm in the garden around a real fire drinking hot chocolate and talking with her friends. Earlier this month I spoke with a member of staff, not her key worker, worrying about the transition to school. That member knew my daughter well enough to confidently talk about her and her behaviour and was very understanding and able to reassure me. I was really impressed that despite not having key worker responsibility for my child, the member of staff clearly knew her well. This morning when I dropped her off we were cheerfully greeted as normal and the member of staff knew exactly what to say to my child to entice her away from me and into nursery. It is a lovely setting and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

So far we have found the pre-school for our children to be very good, the website updates when they have checked in and out and shows activities they are engaged in before school starts. It demonstrates the kind of 21st Century connectivity using modern communication tools we would expect.

We are very happy with Little Green Rascals. Our little one has settled well and is making friends. He enjoys the food and loves the new outdoor area.

My husband and I are so happy to have found such a lovely, warm and welcoming environment for my daughter to spend her time while we work. The little touches for parents mean a lot and show they understand how hard it can be balancing work and childcare. She is clearly very happy and enjoys her time as a rascal.

My son has been to previous nurseries in the past but none of them compare to Little Green Rascals. The staff go above and beyond for every child in their care. I feel like they really care about every child’s development in their care. I would recommend Little Green Rascals to anyone.
