My child started going to Breaside Day Nursery at the age of 2.5 years old until July 2020 (just started Reception). The nursery has been very attentive to ensure each individual child gets the time to get used to the new setting. The staff always smile and very happy to have one on one conversation should any parent have anything specific to discuss. My child was naturally very shy when they started at the day nursery however, their confidence has grown enormously in the nurturing environment. The nursery has also been great developing the skills my child would need to go into reception, and it is quite remarkable how they managed to put together the fantastic Christmas / Mothers and Father's day performances and also a sports day for children at this age.

They are brilliant to bring out the best abilities of each child and they let them develop in their own speed and time. My child goes back to give the nursery staff a cuddle every time they see them. I can only recommend Breaside!

We are extremely happy with our son in Breaside. The teachers are fantastic and all the classes are well designed, it’s fun and very educational. My son is in PP at the moment, he has learned a lot academically as well as all the traditional festivals and celebrations, they have even started their French class this year. Breaside is really focused on their behaviour, it’s great to start from a young age, and all the children in Breaside are so polite and have good manners, very happy parents!

Breaside is a school which is academically very good and one of the reasons we wanted our child to attend. But what is so special about this school is the family feel it has. All of the teachers and staff are lovely yet so professional. My child enjoys going to school every day starting in Kindergarten and now in Pre-Prep. The transition was well managed. The management of the school through this pandemic has been commendable. I am proud of the school, the staff, the lovely atmosphere of the school but most important is how happy my child is.

Thank you for such a positive review! We are pleased to hear how happy your child is. We continue to put every child’s happiness and development at the forefront of our minds. Thank you for recognising our transition period, this can be a challenging step for each child, which is why we ensure we create the smoothest environment for the children to transition comfortably.

Our son has attended the prep school since Oct 2019. In the time he has attended Breaside we have noticed how his confidence, understanding and verbal skills have grown. He is always happy to be dropped off to school, this is a reassuring feeling for me. I strongly believe my child’s contentment at Breaside is due to the nurturing environment the attentive prep team provide to the children; as well as the array of activities, they engage in to make learning fun.
I look forward to the staff weekly updates on my son’s progress as you can see the team really know him and the photographic insights into his week are heartwarming.
The school have worked extremely hard to ensure Covid-19 causes little as possible disruption to learning.

Lastly, I would like to commend the welcoming family-like environment the school exhibits, this is evident from my school drop-offs and pick ups.

We have noted and welcomed staff perseverance as our son, youngest in his class so far, does struggle when he is brought to school, only for the first five to ten minutes. But members of staff have been every so patient and available when he arrives.

We have seen the last couple of weeks, our son been to talk and describe what he has done during the day. A positive sign of his development and the attention he is subject to.

Both of my children have attended Breaside and have been extremely happy here. From the moment they have joined the pastoral care given to help settle them into the setting and keep me informed has been excellent. It is especially helpful to have regular updates via the tapestry app with photos and notes showing what the children are up to.

The early year's facilities are brilliant, especially the outdoor facilities, and both my children have developed hugely during even a short time at Breaside due to the variety of activities and learning methods used.

Outside of the classroom activities, my daughters have particularly enjoyed yoga, music and PE as well as the ad hoc activities such as theatre company visits and the science museum visits.

The staff are always extremely approachable and helpful and seem to really care about the children. This is particularly reassuring if you are a working parent utilising the wrap around care - breakfast and after school club

I have been in Early Years education for 13 years now, working my way up from a Level 2 apprentice, then becoming a Kindergarten Room Leader which I have loved for the past 8 years. As well as Early Years Lead I am also the Early Years First Aid Coordinator and the EYDSL. I feel very privileged to have these additional roles as I get the opportunity to widen my development in different areas of the school.
