Little Wellies Nursery in Baildon is a small, friendly family-run setting. They are based in a quiet residential area very close to the scenic Moors.

All their staff are Paediatric First Aid trained and highly qualified to provide the highest standard of care for your little one.

They encourage their team and children to visit the local areas and can often be seen in their hi-vis vests walking on the Moors or on the High street chatting to the locals. Outdoor play is of a high priority, after all, children learn best through play!

Little Wellies have been very accommodating with us and our work schedules. The staff always welcome the children with warmth and happiness, and provide a very exciting, nurturing and educational environment for our children. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a wholesome and caring
childcare provider.

All the staff know my child very well and are always so happy to see us. They are kind, hardworking and take much care and attention in looking after my child. My child enjoys his time at nursery and always has lots to say about what he has done there, the activities organised are amazing!

On viewing little wellies the staff were very friendly and happy to answer all questions.
Since attending nursery from February 2024 our son has grown up leaps and bounds.
He is very chatty and interactive.
He loves his key worker amd all the staff at Little Wellies.
He does great activities inside
and out.
He eats healthy food and helps make it.
We have already filled the paperwork out to send our baby daughter there as well.

My daughter has been attending since she was 9 months old and she's almost 4 now, she has loved every single session she has attended. All workers are fantastic and always go above and beyond. It's a home-from-home feel and we're looking forward to our youngest attending in early 2025.

My son loves attending little wellies. The staff is always welcoming and they do a lot of varied activities.
The children are regularly encouraged to play, they often do baking and bring home various art creations.
I am pleased with the care he receives.

Little Wellies Day Nursery has been, and hopefully will continue to be, a lovely place for our daughter to grow in the last year.
She has been in the Raindrops and Rainbows groups and her key workers and all staff are so caring and devoted and she talks about all of them. Her development is definitely

Our little boy absolutely adores coming to nursery. Every member of staff is fabulous and welcoming on a morning. Every night when we pick him up he’s thoroughly happy.
Every interaction, every activity, every mealtime our little boy just loves.
His development and speech are coming on great and
that’s also because of the way he is interacted with at nursery.

Little Wellies is absolutely fantastic. My son has just transitioned rooms smoothly with the care and professionalism shown by the staff. He loves all the activities he gets to take part in, especially water play, and he is excited to go to nursery in the morning.

Our son has recently moved up from the toddler to pre-school room and although he initially missed the staff from his old room (whom he loved!), the staff in Sunbeams have helped him settle in. We're really impressed with the range of activities Little Wellies offers, including forest school sessions,
vegetable growing and bike classes as well as the usual arts, crafts and other activities most nurseries offer. They really go above and beyond to offer the children opportunities they might not get elsewhere and take them outside the setting. I also really appreciated their flexible approach earlier this year when I had to change our son's regular day due to recurrent hospital appointments.

Little Wellies is in a wonderful place filled with warmth and care. The carers at the nursery have been incredible, creating a safe haven that's as comforting as home. They always come across as smiley and friendly even after a long day looking after the children. The homemade food, prepared fresh is
one of the reasons I chose this nursery at the same place. It's fantastic that they offer flexibility during long holidays, making it easier for us to manage schedules. A big thanks to the amazing staff for their dedication and the loving environment they create for our little one.

Lovely nursery with caring staff who provide the best care. Very happy with the care my little boy receives, he loves it at Little Wellies. You can tell it’s a good nursery as lots of the staff members have been there for years and always seem so happy at work.

Brilliant staff, always welcoming.
The kids love them.
Grandson has come on leaps and bounds since joining the nursery.
The facilities are of a good standard.
The staff seem to enjoy working there.
My granddaughter also went here and she really enjoyed going on a daily basis.

My grandson has been going to this nursery since his mum went back to work about a year ago.
He started off in the baby room and now transferred into the toddler room which he loves.
He loves the interaction and activities, he's at the age of absorbing everything.
He keeps us all on our toes.
His development is good and speech coming along lovely which I think the nursery setting helps.
I occasionally bring him to nursery and pick him up, the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Very warming place throughout the building.
Staff always smiling and they are very understanding, has a lovely home food smell as you walk in. My daughter has become a very kind girl, she has grown just within a short time. With her learning, speaking, and attitude also she has grown in eating, a very
proud mammy and will be taking her little sister when she is.

My son came home from this nursery with 2 head injuries which the staff was unaware of and the following day bruising to his side appeared. Staff lied in witness statements which were proven by CCTV and owners tried covering these lies also. Luckily my son is okay after his injuries but it’s a scary
thought to what could have happened. Emails from the nursery contradict what they are stating saying the room leader checked him thoroughly but she may have missed the marks?! He had a cut, scratch round to the back of his head, swelling to his ear and a lump on the opposite side of his forehead so if she had have checked him she couldn’t have missed it!

As you say the CCTV has been viewed and does show the room leader opening the door to the outside area at exactly the time of your son falling off his trike and going straight over to him to pick him up, along with another practitioner who was already in the playground and take him inside to be checked over. No injuries were seen by the practitioner at this time or noticed by your husband on collecting your son 20 minutes later. Both left the setting fine. In fact, your son was playing very happily shortly after the fall. Any bruising clearly came out at a later date, which can happen after a fall. We were very pleased that Ofsted looked at all the CCTV and written statements and was happy with our procedures. We are surprised to have received 1* for every area when you have been very happy with your son being with us prior to the fall. Sadly children do have accidents and we are very pleased that he is okay. We wish you all the very best.

My little boy started at Little Wellies Day Nursery in 2019. He had the most incredible experience and is now halfway through his first year at school. We are constantly told how kind and caring he is, something which we put down to the time he spent at nursery. My little girl now attends and she absolutely
loves it. The bond she has with the staff is incredible. They take the time to get to know each child - this is evident when looking at their learning journey. Regular feedback is provided and the staff put on open mornings several times throughout the year which are fantastic. It always feels like a home from home and is such a wonderful environment for any child to be in. I couldn’t recommend Little Wellies anymore- they are just fabulous!

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am the manager of Little Wellies Baildon. I love running this friendly, welcoming and vibrant nursery in the heart of Baildon village. The setting is large enough to be able to offer a wealth of activities, including walks to Baildon Moor and sessions with the Kixx Football Academy, whilst at the same time being small enough for all the staff to know all the children and families well.
