Shining Stars Nursery understands how important children’s pre-school years are and aims to provide an exceptional nursery education in a stimulating and caring environment.

Shining Stars Nursery is part of Wallace Fields Infant School, rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ in December 2021. The Nursery provision is led by two qualified teachers supported by a team of talented Assistant Teachers. Being part of a school means each child benefits from the support of school leaders and subject specialists including music and forest school sessions. It has large outdoor spaces and full use of the main school facilities including the school library bus!

Children can join Shining Stars Nursery from the term after their second birthday and continue through to the end of their pre school year. Wraparound care options are available to offer childcare from 7:30-18.00.

Cannot recommend this nursery enough. My son has an ASD diagnosis and this was accommodated for above and beyond our expectations by all staff. My son was regulated, understood, and cared for as if he was with family everyday. The staff are incredible and work so hard to get to know each child and meet
each of their needs. Please if you are considering this as an option for your child do not hesitate to arrange a visit, you won't be disappointed.

My son went to Shining Stars Nursery - Big Stars, for one year before starting Reception. He thoroughly enjoyed the time spent there, even on the days he was unwell he still asked to go to nursery. He made many friends, had amazing bonds with all the staff members and completed many learning activities
such as forest school, maths & phonics which is reflected in his knowledge of these now. The staff there are 'incredible' and have given my son so much time, love & care during his time there. Words can not explain how amazing this nursery provision is, inside & out.
Thank you for setting my son up to flourish, grow and learn, he has many wonderful memories!

My daughter has just finished a full year in Shining Stars Nursery, and what a wonderful year it was. The staff provide such a safe, nurturing and educational experience for all children. Learning and positive moments are regularly shared on the app which is so reassuring as a parent to see what they

My son went to Shining Stars for 2 years and he was pretty much nonverbal and behind for his age when he started however he is now absolutely thriving and completely caught up development-wise. This is because of Shining Stars Nursery, the staff are amazing and I will be forever grateful. An extra special
mention to one staff member in particular, my son's absolute favourite teacher. Thank you to everyone!

My second born is currently at the the nursery, following my eldest who had a brilliant experience! My daughter has come so far since starting in September 2022, and seeing her walk in with a smile everyday makes it reassuring that she is in the best hands. The Nursery Lead is brilliant and both my
girls have been a huge fan - her approach and lovely personality ensures the children are well looked after and taught! All of the staff are all brilliant and very personable! The fact that it follows a school like approach preps the children for reception too! My youngest son will follow in Sept 2024! Don’t have a bad word to say!

Wonderful nursery! My daughter started here as a very shy child and she soon came out of her shell thanks to the fantastic teachers. Shinning Stars has really got my daughter ready for starting school in September. I highly recommend sending your little one to this brilliant nursery.

My son has been so happy at Big Stars over the past year. He joined Shining Stars preschool having been unhappy at a childminders and the staff were exceptional at settling him and giving him confidence. The facilities, teaching and wrap-around care are superb - I honestly cannot recommend this nursery
enough. My son skips into school every morning and it is such a warm and inviting community at Wallace Fields. I feel so lucky he's experienced preschool here and could not have wished for a better environment to prepare him for school. Thank you to the wonderful teachers!

Right from the start of settling in sessions, the nursery staff have been fantastic. They have taken every step to ensure my child is welcomed and encouraged during the session. My daughter’s communication, sentence structure and recall have improved so much in the few months she has attended. She looks
forward to going to each session and is able to tell me who she has played with. The observations we get online are brilliant.

The staff at Shining Stars are all lovely and they welcome the children with big smiles every day. My daughter absolutely loves attending and is always telling me about all the wonderful things she has been doing all day. It is very clear that there is very structured learning as well as a lot of learning
through play and I am amazed by some of the things that my daughter can tell me about when she comes home. The staff do a fantastic job of knowing the needs of my child and communicating well with me if there are any concerns that I or they have. I would highly recommend.

I am so impressed by this Nursery!!! My son has hearing and speech delay and the Nursery have gone out of their way to support him and me!!!! One of the teachers along with the school Senco has been amazing!!! They sat and put together a plan to help him, including 1:1 time with an adult, emotion cards,
in-house speech therapy. On top of that, they have the best facilities including a huge outdoor play area, brand new equipment and most importantly a caring, safe environment. My son absolutely loves it there and I could not recommend Shining Stars more highly!!!!!

It has been a very good experience since my son started nursery in September 2017.

I began my childcare qualification as a student in a private Day Nursery where I worked as an apprentice whilst completing my NVQ Levels 2 and 3. Once qualified I stayed as a Nursery Nurse, and then moved to work at another School for 2 years, before moving on to work here at Wallace Fields Infant School and Nursery. I joined the nursery team in September 2015 as an Assistant Teacher and am now the lead practitioner in Little Stars.
