Stepping Stones Day Nursery - Stockton Heath

We couldn't be happier with the care our 2-year-old son receives at this nursery. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in his development and happiness. It's clear that they create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to explore, learn, and grow.

Our son has become more confident, social, and curious since starting, and we've noticed such a positive difference in his communication and independence. The activities are engaging, creative, and fun, helping to support his learning through play.

We also really appreciate the regular updates and communication, which give us peace of mind. It's so reassuring to know he's in such caring and capable hands.

I'm always so impressed by the extra time, dedication and effort staff go to with activities for the children. There always seem to be so many exciting new things for them to get involved with and learn from, my daughter is always engaged and loves her nursery days.

Always greated with happy smiley staff and management. My daughter has learnt and grown so much at the nursery thanks to the team. My child loves all of the staff and children at the nursery and gets excited to go there each day.

My daughters love their time at Stepping Stones Nursery. The staff are so lovely, caring and patient with the children and are really committed to encouraging children's confidence and independence. The facilities are great and there is a lovely new outdoor playground area for preschool children. I like the regular updates on the nursery app which keep parents in the loop with what their child has been up to. Staff always go above and beyond to ensure exciting activities are on offer and always create such a positive and happy environment. Brilliant nursery!

The nursery practitioners have supported us through different developmental stages, encouraging growth and creativity and helping make transitions easier for our child. It is incredible to see him thrive and develop and the nursery plays a big part in this.

Stepping Stones is a wonderful supportive environment. The staff are lovely and my little boy had formed really strong attachments. The food is great. Stepping Stones is a really great setting that is helping to prepare my son for school. The recent update to the preschool garden is so great as well.

The tasks and education provided are suitable to his needs and enjoyable for him also.

The mixture of activities are fantastic and I love that they take them to the park and to see the ducks when the weather permits. Thank you for all that you do!

Our child is new to the area and had previously been at a different nursery. He slotted in amazingly well and much of this is down to the staff at Stepping Stones. They have been fantastic at helping his integration into a new nursery setting.

My 2 year old started here in September 2024 and there was a very obvious change to her vocabulary, attitude to play, manners and overall communication, all for the better. The staff know every detail of her day from the food she's eaten, time she has slept for, games she has played and overall well-being on the days she is in for. It is very nerve wracking for a parent when their little one starts nursery but we were so pleased with how easily she took to Stepping Stones Day Nursery and she always looks forward to going back. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the facilities has everything my daughter needs to access different types of provisional play and the children are all lovely too which is a credit to the staffs approach. We would recommend Stepping Stones Stockton Heath to anyone looking to start their child in nursery in the area.

I cannot rate this nursery enough, my son who is now 6 used to attend the nursery and now my one-year-old son does. The staff make me feel so comfortable, my son who now attends absolutely loves going, and smiles every time one of the team opens the doors. He has developed so many skills since starting in February! Love the staff and I couldn't rate it highly enough! I feel so comfortable working knowing my son is loved and cared for by the great team at Stepping Stones Day Nursery, Stockton Heath.

We are so happy with our nursery journey so far, seeing our little man coming along so well, settling in amazingly and loving it. All of the baby room staff have been fab. The manager and her team are great, they are accommodating and welcoming. It’s a lovely atmosphere. We appreciate you all, thank you!

The staff there are incredible. Our daughter attended there for three years. I was really nervous about trusting someone else, as she spent the first week of her life in an incubator as was four weeks premature. The staff are so caring and patient. I love the fact the manager adds pictures of what they have been up to. I owe the ladies there everything, they are simply amazing.

So grateful for the staff at Stepping Stones, they’ve made our journey into nursery with our little one so easy. The staff are so patient and kind and honestly, you couldn’t wish for any more for your child. We’ve received a lovely progress update with photos of her journey. My daughter started at Stepping Stones in January this year, she had just turned 1. It was a big adjustment for her at first and she was very unsettled at drop-offs for a good couple of months but I was assured by the staff members in her room that she had settled throughout the day and now I can tell that she enjoys her days at nursery. It’s a very friendly environment and all the staff know her name even though they aren’t in her room which I feel is a really nice touch. My little girl has really come on in the short time of being at Stepping Stones and I have no doubt this will continue as she moves through each room. We’re very happy with our choice to send her here and look forward to seeing her develop and grow over the next few years.
