Kids Planet Wallsend provides a warm and welcoming environment for children and their families in a unique building in the heart of Wallsend. With amazing facilities and an experienced childcare team, they offer a stimulating and nurturing environment for your children.

With 5 fully equipped room spaces for each age group, the nursery includes a multi-level soft play and 2 outdoor play and learning areas, as well as a multi-function space to be used for music, dance and role play.

They offer funded places for 2-year-olds and 3-4-year-olds.

My child has been at Wallsend Day Nursery for 2.5 years. Throughout this time the staff have been incredibly supportive. I cannot fault the level of care. All staff have taken the time to get to know my child and tailor their care to suit individual personality and needs. Whenever my child has come
home with an issue, a quick chat to the key worker and it’s dealt with and everyone is reassured. The facilities are excellent and the activities are varied and wide-ranging.

My little girl loved this nursery and the staff that cared for her during her time here. The staff cared for her as if she was their own and were very approachable and accommodating. Great nursery. Both of my sons have attended Wallsend day nursery and both of them have loved their time here. Great facilities, great food and the holiday club is fab for parents needing school holiday cover. The staff are second to none, extremely friendly, nothing is ever a bother and both of mine
have formed some really special bonds with the staff as have I as their mum. I would thoroughly recommend this nursery. I’ve never left them ever with a worry in my mind that they are being cared for brilliantly and I’ll really miss it when the youngest starts school next year. Thanks for all you do.

I would fully recommend Wallsend Day Nursery, the nursery is always clean and welcoming and the staff are just lovely. They really do care about the job they do and it shows as my son has really warmed to each of the members of staff he has been with throughout his time there. He has had some difficult
times and the nursery has been completely supportive with me and my son. Giving guidance where needed and I can’t thank them enough. My son was really anxious, to begin with, and doesn’t take to change well and the staff have always made sure he is comfortable and take the time with him. Thanks for everything we will miss you all when he starts reception class in September x

My daughter moved to Wallsend Day Nursery after the closure of previous nursery provision. From day one she has loved Wallsend Day Nursery and we as parents have been hugely impressed. The staff are very dedicated to making the experience as enjoyable as possible for our daughter and she has thrived
because of it. Excellent facilities including the soft play area and the outside space allowing children to experience a range of activities. Wallsend Day Nursery has been instrumental in our daughter's development and happiness during her younger years. We would strongly recommend anyone to put their child into Wallsend Day Nursery, we cannot speak highly enough about the place.

Our child started at Wallsend Day Nursery when he was 9 months old. He has settled into the nursery really well, we couldn’t have chosen a better nursery for him to attend.
We both (parents) go to work knowing he’s having so much fun, we know this by the smiles we get once we collect him.


The staff

are amazing, always willing to help with any issues you may have or just general enquires. Our child has an amazing key worker who we know he gets along with really well. We couldn’t fault any of the staff we have met in any way.


We receive regular updates of my child's development through an app, which we can access to see what he has been up to whilst he’s at nursery. We love hearing about his days at nursery.


The facilities at the nursery are amazing, our child loves being outdoors and their garden is great, it has so much for them to do.


We couldn’t recommend this nursery enough. We are so happy we chose this nursery for our child.

My son has attended Wallsend Day Nursery since he was 9 months old and is now 2 and a half. Although he only attends one day a week, he has settled with all members of staff throughout the rooms. The staff are friendly, professional and supportive. The facilities are fantastic at this nursery and the
additional activities, such as the Christmas fair really allows parents and families to be involved.


Any concerns and questions are answered quickly by staff and management which is reassuring. As a teacher, I am happy yo say I would recommend this nursery to anyone considering it.


Leaving your child for the first time is daunting, however, Wallsend Day Nursery provides a lovely, safe and caring environment.

My niece has attended Wallsend Day Nursery since she was a baby. The staff there are so caring and passionate about what they do. My niece has made lots of friends and has been given so many learning opportunities throughout her time at nursery.
The facilities are fantastic and give her the opportunity
to explore lots of areas, for example, they have a big soft play and a multi-function room where children can dance and move around physically. Outside play is encouraged and I know that my niece spends a lot of time out there with her friends taking part in lots of fun activities. The management team have shown both myself and my niece lots of support in recent months following my special guardianship at a time that has been very hard for both of us I have found great support.

Both me and my son love the nursery and the staff in it. My son has been in it for around 2 years now and from the start, every member of staff in the whole nursery have made the effort to know every child's name, interests and family etc. It doesn't feel like he is just a number, he is a part of a
big family within the nursery and is so advanced for his age due to the amazing staff that have worked with him during his time there. Couldn't fault them at all.

Wallsend nursery is fantastic! They are so supportive of parents, flexible and understanding. My daughter is very happy going into nursery. She has grown and developed so much over the last year and she knows she is safe.
The staff are fantastic, there is a low turnover which is very reassuring, with
regular faces to be seen regularly.
The food served to the children is healthy, fun and enjoyable.
There is nothing negative I could say about this nursery! My daughter is the last of 4 children and I wouldn’t leave her with just anyone!

Friendly staff.
My daughter trusts her teachers implicitly.
Very safe and clean.
Varied teaching methods used.
Outdoor space is fantastic.
Large indoor facilities.
Canteen facilities for breakfast and lunch which ensure children are in a school like lunch setting.
On one occasion, my husband
went to collect my daughter who the staff had only met once. He was immediately met by a teacher and asked to get me from the car so I could validate who he was before he collected our daughter.

Great nursery. My son started in August 2018 just after his second birthday, he cried, I cried. The staff were fabulous with him. He can’t wait to get there now. I love seeing all his photos and updates on Tapestry and the facilities are brilliant, indoor and out.

My daughter started a year ago in the middle of the term, as her nursery was told it was closing and she was made to feel welcome straight away by everyone. She is very shy and I thought it would be a nightmare but she loves it, big bright rooms, lots of space to play and lots of books and activities
to do, especially the soft play. The nursery also offered holiday club at a reasonable price which is a great help. I feel my daughter's confidence has grown due to the staff, and learning activities they do as a group and with her.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have worked in childcare for over 10 years, working in various different roles. I am passionate about all things early years, in particular supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and supporting families and the wider community. I am passionate about children’s literacy and incorporating this into all aspects of my role.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and exploring new places. I also enjoy curling up with a good book!
