Blossoms Day Nursery is a day nursery created by parents, for parents. The setting features huge outside play spaces and spacious rooms.

The garden allows for plenty of exciting activities, including a mud kitchen and even a treehouse.

The former GP surgery was extensively refurbished prior to its opening in 2016 to offer families excellent facilities. The nurturing staff supports each child to develop in all areas and reach their potential.

I am so happy my little boy is attending Blossoms Nursery. We have observed that our son had improved a lot with his speech and communication. I owe it to the team of Maple group. Their patience, love and care for the children is amazing. Every time i hear my son talks about teacher ella, his teacher
lauren and teacher amy at home, i can see it gives him joy!
Thank you Bloosom Nursery team!

We couldn't be happier with this nursery and the care our sons receive here. The team consistently goes above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment.
We are especially grateful for how carefully and confidently they manage our son's allergy. The staff are knowledgeable, vigilant,
and proactive, which gives us complete peace of mind. It's clear they take children's individual needs seriously.
Communication is excellent. We're always kept informed about what they are doing each day, how they're developing, and any important updates. The staff are approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in working in partnership with parents.
The range of activities is fantastic, from creative play and outdoor learning to structured activities that build confidence and curiosity. Our eldest son loves the French lessons!
Most importantly, our sons are happy, settled, and excited to attend every day. We feel very lucky about that, and highly recommend this nursery!

My son is loving it at blossoms he previously went to another nursery and he hated going there now at blossoms he runs in and wants to go.
Lots of hands on activities and learning through play. The girls in the room really get involved with the children and help teach the children life skills like
cooking etc.

My little boy has attended nursery here since he was nine months old. I couldn't ask for a better nursery for him. The stafff are absolutely incredible not just to our son but to us as parents. Always keeping us updated on all his progress, photos, the lot. They do so many different activities and learning
development. The rooms are amazing and spacious for them to enjoy themselves, clean tidy. My son is so comfortable around all the staff which is lovely too see. Nothing is an issue for them and when you speak to the team they are so easy to talk with and so friendly it makes you feel happy and safe when it comes to others looking after your children. Absolutely incredible service here and so grateful for them. We also recommend his cousin here which he loves the nursery just as much as my son. Incredible place and team.

My son has been attending since September 2025 and had settled in so well. He is autistic and is under the senco team and they are amazing with him. He is usually distant with other adults but he seems to love all of the staff. They cater to his needs perfectly from food difficulties to learning skills.
He has learnt to draw and lots more since attending!

My 4-year-old granddaughter has attended Blossoms Day Nursery for the past two years on a daily basis. She has health conditions which the nursery has accommodated. I regularly interact with all the staff and they are wonderful. The play activities are fun - but also educational. It is a very safe environment,
clean and well-managed. My granddaughter has herself "blossomed" since attending this nursery and has many friends, of all cultures and goes to parties galore! I can happily recommend Blossoms Day Nursery.

My son attended Blossoms about 6 months ago and we are so happy with how much he has come on, he always wakes up in the mornings so excited to start his day and to see all of his friends and carers which he always talks about at home.
The staff have been lovely and so reassuring at times when I have
needed it.
Thank you.

All Blossoms staff are extremely friendly yet professional and exceptionally communicative when discussing your child on collection.
My children absolutely adore coming to this setting and seeing the nursery as their second home. It is set perfectly as a home-from-home environment with class pets in
each room that the children all get involved in helping out with.
As well as play they also learn foreign languages and have sports lessons that my 3-year-old is always keen to join in with.
With a different subject of discussion each week my children are stimulated and consistently eager to learn at nursery and share about at home.
Reply from Claire Bywater, Director at Blossoms Day NurseryThank you for your kind comments.
At Blossoms we pride ourselves in providing experiences that support the children to become keen learners.

I was really nervous to send my daughter to nursery so young but the Blossoms staff made the transition for me and my daughter so easy. I know that when my daughter goes to nursery she is well looked after and they put on activities to help and develop her learning/ skills.
My daughter has been well
looked after and settled in really well into Blossoms. All the staff are lovely and my daughter enjoys going to nursery and interacting with all the staff and other children. All the staff keep parents well informed regarding their child/children during the day which for me, helps me to get through the day at work. Would 100% recommend Blossoms to parents.

My son attends this nursery and has been going since September 2021. I'm so glad I chose this nursery for him, he settled in really well. The staff are amazing and hardworking and the nursery is safe and clean. If I could keep my son there forever I would. He really enjoys going. One staff member is
amazing, as are the rest of them. If you are looking for a nursery then I would recommend Blossoms. Thank you, Blossoms, for your hard work and dedication.

I would definitely recommend Blossoms Day Nursery to any parents looking for a nursery for their little ones. My little girl started in August 2022. The staff are lovely, kind and really reassuring. My little one would cry every morning for a few months and to finally get her putting her arms out and
smiling to the staff is one of the best feelings, especially as a first-time mom, and to have that reassurance that she enjoys nursery and feels comfortable with the staff. The nursery also use an app which the staff upload pictures of the children enjoying different activities and also observations on your child daily. The chef is great and cooks all homemade meals for the children with a choice of different foods offered.

Nursery is very good and very close to where I live. Staff are lovely but when I pick my child up he isn't clean, either his nose is runny or food on his face which has happened a few times, other than that he is happy.

Lovely nursery, really caring staff, always put the children's needs first. Sports teachers come to the nursery twice a week which is lovely. Spend lots of time outdoors, so not just stuck in a room all day, children are always doing fun activities.

The nursery is a fantastic setting for my child, it is lovely to see how much he has grown in confidence since he started at Blossoms Day Nursery. They plan and organise amazing, creative activities each week linked to specific events such as Chinese New Year or Winnie the Pooh Day. The staff are friendly,
welcoming and always listen to parents on the door. They plan some lovely themed evenings for parents and their children such as pumpkin soup and sparkler nights. This was so lovely to bring the community together. As you walk into the nursery you instantly feel the calm and nurtured due to the calming/nutrias toys and equipment.

The nursery, on the whole, not just one month, the whole time my son has been going has been amazing. The staff are welcoming, friendly and always smiling. My son loves it there, he has learnt and progressed the whole time he has been there and would recommend it over any other nursery. It has great
indoor and out facilities for children and they do all sorts with them, playing, singing, reading and garden activities. There is so much they do with them, it's brilliant!

Friendly polite and helpful staff. They need deep cleaning in every room after every session.
Reply from Claire Bywater, Director at Blossoms Day NurseryThank you for your kind comments about our staff team, however I don't understand why the low rating has then been given against them.
We pride ourselves massively on safeguarding, teaching and learning (activities, resources, equipment). We plough lots of funding into this area and cover safeguarding every month in depth at our meetings, not to mention 3 external training days a year and having 3 onsite DSL's. We have maintained our cleaner at nursery for a long time and our cook has been with us for many years, providing healthy, home cooked meals in line with early years wellbeing agency guidance. However, with your review in mind we will strive to give you the experience at Blossoms we give all of our families.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.165)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.165) out of 10 for Blossoms Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Blossoms Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (84 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.165 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Blossoms Day Nursery is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 62 number of registered child places is 12.4. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.4 = 0.565
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
