Loughborough Nursery is an 'all-inclusive' nursery for the local community providing a safe, warm, welcoming and friendly haven near the centre of Loughborough, for children from six-weeks up to four-years-old.

Parents can confidently leave their child secure in the knowledge that they will be looked after and nurtured by a hand-picked team of childcare specialists. Parents can choose from full days and morning or afternoon sessions. A morning session includes breakfast and morning snack and lunch and afternoon sessions include an afternoon snack and tea.

During the day, children spend their time in the exciting and stimulating environment of the Nursery and its outside play area. Newly-added spaces include a Library and IT Suite, as well as a calming sensory area and an engaging Discovery Village which aims to encourage creativity and imagination. Children also take part in a range of fun, themed activities designed to encourage the development of fine motor skills and build confidence and social skills. At the end of each day, parents receive in-depth feedback from their child’s key person.

Children also have access to other Loughborough Schools Foundation facilities.

Funding & Fees

  • A registration fee of £75 is required to reserve a place for your child. This is refunded at the end of your child’s time at Loughborough Nursery, providing that the correct notice is given, and fees are up to date.


    The Loughborough Nursery accepts childcare vouchers, government tax-free childcare and FEEE funding (15/30 hours) for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.


    A Nursery place can be 51 weeks or term time plus. Priority is given to full-time places. Fees are invoiced over 12 months from 1 September to 1 August.

I cannot put into words how fantastic the staff and facilities are here.
The staff are very supportive of the children and every day there seems to be something different on for the student. Our daughter started at the beginning and has grown as the nursery has in numbers. This has not impacted on
the level of care at all from the early days of only a few children in the room. Each key worker is fantastic at knowing their individual children and they always pass relevant information on, even if it's a quick phone call or email to keep you up to date on how they are once they return to the nursery after illness.
I could not recommend them more.

Our child joined the Nursery at LES in the autumn of 2016, having been at a different setting locally. She is utterly thriving there. The rooms are well set up, with high quality equipment and have clearly been designed with the children in mind.
Meals are nutritious and varied, and it is wonderful
that the kitchen feels part of the nursery, with children able to see the meals being prepared.
But most importantly the staff are caring, supportive and engaged with the children, encouraging them to explore their interests and learn through play, and caring for them as individuals.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to others.

My daughter started at The Nursery at the beginning of 2017. From day 1 my husband and I have been thrilled by the level of care and attention from the team. We were concerned about the transition from one nursery to another. There was no need to be. She has settled in beautifully and is so happy.

Our daughter settled into nursery quickly and sees it as her second home. The staff give her so much attention and she has made so much progress since joining last September. They plan from her interests and her creativity has just grown. We love the online learning journal- we feel we really know what
she is up too. She loved going into the nursery gym and using the parachute and ribbons.
The whole nursery is exemplary. We were impressed from our first visit and couldn't wait for her to start. You can really leave children there in confidence and know that safety is the highest priority.
