Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery and Preschool is a beautiful purpose-built setting for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

There are five individual rooms, each tailored to the children’s different age groups as well as a naturally inspiring outdoor play area where children can explore and flourish.

There is also a dedicated outdoor classroom for 3 – 5-year-olds providing exciting outdoor learning opportunities all providing a safe and secure environment for the children.

There is a focus on ICT for older children including an interactive touch table and ‘bluebots’ which introduce early programming skills to prepare children for the next step in education.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

The nursery work with families to find a settle into a routine that works for them and support parents with home routines such as weening and potty training.

The nursery is conveniently located on the new Beaulieu Park development in the north of Chelmsford, just 2 miles from the town centre.

The nursery also provides nutritionally balanced meals, prepared fresh each day by the onsite chef. Fees are fully inclusive, with all nappies, wipes, creams, formulas and meals provided.

I am so pleased we chose Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery for our children. We have been through every single room and encountered pretty much every member of staff and ALL of them have been utterly attentive and supportive of our daughter’s needs over the last 3 years. The activities that the
children do are engaging and fun, offering opportunities that I couldn’t at home e.g using a light box, programming a bug as well as core skills - maths and English. The app allows continuous communication throughout the day - I know everything about their days from toileting, bottles, food consumption and of course fab photos of what they are doing. Management go above and beyond. They are so friendly and approachable and really care about the experience of parents and children. In terms of safeguarding, I feel my children are very well protected. We get calls for all bumps/plasters etc. Accident forms are completed, and any incidents with other children are dealt with sensitively and quickly. 10/10 from us!

The new managers are absolutely shocking. Honestly, if I had walked my son around the nursery after the nice manager lady left 2 years ago, I would never have brought my child here. Lack of communication, don’t safeguard your children. Quick enough to put your child on ABC charts and naughty observations
charts but quick to call social services for child abuse but accuse mums of lying and using mental health issues against people and they are not very good at noticing signs for children that need assessments.
Would highly not recommend this nursery until the managers are changed. I will be going to Ofsted about this nursery!

My daughter has been coming to Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery and Preschool for over a year now and I couldn't be happier with how she has settled and also progressed in herself since then. The staff are amazing and are always so kind and caring. My daughter also loves coming and it's so nice
to see her go in and come out so happy. Wouldnt recommend anywhere else!

We have had a fantastic experience. My son's development has come so far and I praise the staff and how attentive they've been. The management are so friendly and always updating us on changes and what my son is up to. I can't recommend them enough and am so glad I found Bright Horizons.

My daughter loves it here, she has attended since nine months old and is now two and a half, I feel so happy she enjoys herself so much and is excited to go in on the days she attends. My son has recently started in one of the toddler rooms and although we are still getting used to the change I can see that he does enjoy it when he is there. All of the staff we have met so far have made the whole experience for both mummy and son so much easier. Their constant reassurance and updates
are such a comfort. He is loving the reading corner and the garden. I would highly recommend Bright Horizons Chelmsford to any parent.

Our little boy enjoyed the baby room briefly pre-lockdown and has loved settling into the toddler group on his return. There's a good variety of activities (and food!) which he really looks forward to. Now he's starting to remember more and tell us about what he's been up to, it's clear that he has
a whale of a time, and he's always worn out by home time! The garden space is lovely, and indoors there's plenty going on to keep them learning while having fun. Being an only child we are so pleased our little boy has made lots of friends. He's comfortable to nap there and the staff have been extremely supportive with potty training recently, following our lead and giving us feedback on how he's doing. The nursery itself is clean, bright, colourful and welcoming. More importantly all the staff are so friendly and really do an excellent job. Our little boy absolutely adores his key workers and often chats about them, and it means the world to us to know he is so well looked after.

Modern, clean and refreshing nursery ideally located with plenty of parking. Plenty of activities, my little one particularly loves the outdoor space and activities. The menus are varied and nutritional. The crackers and fruit snacks are favourites. The children seem to bond really well so there

I was very sceptical about taking my daughter into the nursery as she was so shy and I couldn’t take her in due to the pandemic, but I couldn’t believe it she doesn’t even wave at me at times. I’m nervous about her going to preschool as there is a man working there she’s really shy around men. I couldn’t
thank the girls enough for working alongside my daughter and myself with speech and language, the girls called me saying they think she’s got a urine infection they helped so much collecting her wee for me. I have worked in a nursery since I was 15 years old and I knew what I was looking for and wanting and honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better nursery for my daughter! Thank you all for helping her to come out of her shell, she loves nursery and can’t wait to go.

Bright Horizons at Beaulieu is amazing. My little girl has gone from the Baby Room to Toddlers and is absolutely thriving with caring and passionate staff, clean facilities and a lovely garden/play area. All of the other children that go there are fantastic and she talks about them at bedtime. The front
end staff are excellent and accommodating and I fully trust that she is in good hands when I drop her off. A+ nursery.

An amazing nursery that my daughter (3 years old) enjoys every day attending, she enjoys coming home and telling us about her day and all the activities she has been up to.
Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful in both helping with my child's development and also investing their time and skills
in the care of my daughter, easing any issues or fears we have as parents.
My daughter has been able to form a personality that is both encouraged and developed further by the carers at the nursery.

From our first visit to Bright Horizons, I immediately knew I wanted to send my son there. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the nursery rooms, garden and facilities were fantastic. All the management team are approachable and know all the children and parents. The room leaders and nursery
nurses are all amazing and my son comes home talking about them. Going back to work and leaving my son somewhere new was hard but I can honestly say that he loves being there and he has become more confident and independent as a result. I can not recommend this nursery highly enough.

The staff at this nursery have welcomed us as a family from day one and immediately put us at ease. We are now almost a year in and we continue to be delighted with everything that they do. They have made returning to work so much easier for me as I know my child is in the absolute best care. I cannot
recommend these genuinely kind and caring superstars enough.


We know that whilst there she eats and sleeps well, she has lots of fun and has made friends in both the adults and other children. Management are all visible, very involved and easy to communicate with, and clearly know all the children well.

The first day my daughter attended this nursery she loved it. The staff are all fantastic, very welcoming and attentive to children's needs. I absolutely love this nursery and so does my son. He started just before a year old and as any new mum, I was anxious about leaving him with anyone other than myself. It turns out I had nothing to worry about as my son enjoys coming to nursery three days a week. The staff are lovely and really attentive
to my son's needs but also my own. The management team are always available if needed and are extremely helpful. The chef is also lovely and my son never leaves a meal unfinished!

My daughter started at the nursery back in January and we have nothing but nice things to say about the nursery and the staff.
They really are fantastic with my daughter and provide her with a clean and safe environment.
she has multiple intolerances and the nursery have all the plans in place to
help with this and call to check if they are unsure if she can have certain foods, which is a big relief for myself and my partner.

I have been part of the Bright Horizons family since 2009, joining Chelmsford in 2019. I hold an NVQ Level 3 Qualification and thrive in creating a stimulating, enabling environment for our children to grow and develop to their best potential.


At Chelmsford, we as a team work together to ensure the children in our care are happy, safe and flourishing throughout their nursery experience. My own son also attends the nursery, I can see from his developmental journey as well as his smile every day that my team are creating and delivering the highest standards of care to each and every child and their family.

I have worked for Bright Horizons since 2008 whilst studying for my level diploma in child development at Harlow College. I started as a student and worked my way up to Deputy Manager.


I have recently passed my level 2 mental health awareness qualification and level 2 counselling skills. I am extremely interested in furthering my career.


I thrive on achieving my goals and supporting and promoting our Nursery staff.


My passion lies in ensuring children in our care develop and flourish to their best abilities whilst supporting our families in our safe and secure environment.
